I recently became a Valero customer from another supplier. I am disappointed because the pumps(at least at the Jolleyville stations) do not let you click set the handle to pump a full tank to fill it up. It shuts off automatically 3 times during a fill up. Since I always fill up from almost empty, this is pretty inconvenient. I have gone inside twice to see if it is something I am doing, but the clerks are no help at all. Apparently the manager is only there 6 am — noon so I am not likely to bump into him/her. Since I don’t like to stand outside in the heat or cold with gas fumes up my nose holding the nozzle until the tank is full, I am considering moving to the gas station at the 7 – 11 on that corner that always has the same gas prices as the Valero station. If Valero has a policy of not being able to have the nozzle hold the pump setting automatically until it reaches a full tank and it a requirement that the customer has to stand at the pump and hold the nozzle and squeeze the trigger for as long as it takes to fill up, I am moving elsewhere where it is more automated, convenient, healthy, and the same price.

«Until further notice, this always seems to be the cheapest gas in central Austin» This station is awkward to get to if you’re coming from the opposite side of braker by Randall’s. It’s easiest to get to from Heb and jollyville. The store is just your every day convenience store. But the gas prices are what keep me coming. When gas averages 10 cents cheaper than everywhere in a 5 – 10 mile radius, I’m coming here. Also, if you buy the car wash, you can get 10 cents off per gallon. The car wash is pretty decent if you need to clean off a little dirt. The major caked on mess, that will take a more thorough job else where.

Usually better than average gas prices. Mediocre, at best, car wash.

This gas station has sold me several winning scratch-off tickets, so I’m a little partial to this place.(Yeah, yeah, I know… it’s all up to chance, and completely coincidental.) Still, I like the place. Whenever I’m leaving work and need gas, this is the gas station I stop at, since it’s the closest. I can drive in the Jollyville side, and then exit onto the Braker side and drive home — super convenient. Pumps work, though this station gets SUPER busy during rush hour. Better prices on the gas here than the gas stations a few blocks away.
