Unleash Your Inner Ninja CMFE @ Hot Lava Obstacle Course

Awesome Unilocal event. Just AWESOME. I mean, foam pit races. What else is there to say.
Want to practice your parkour moves? Want to climb a rope and jump into a foam pit? Want to battle it out with a foam bat? If you answered yes to any of these questions then this is the place for you.
So two days later and it still feels like my arms are going to fall off. Apparently my cargo net climbing muscles don’t get much of a workout on a regular basis. Ben (the owner) couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.
Of yeah… Hula hoop battles. EPIC.

Courtney never ceases to amaze me with these events and this one was all kinds of awesome.
I hula-​hoop battled, lava pit raced, climbed, jumped, crawled, swung, and balanced. Ben and Robert made everything look so easy and I had to bow down to their skills. There was no way my body was going to pull that off, but I had fun trying. (I can totally hula hoop on a bosu ball, though.)
All of my apologies to Nico — I think I hit you with my hula hoop way too many times during our battle. Sorry! (It was really cool when I got your hula hoop over your head, though — I just hope I didn’t hit you in the face!)
I got to see Bernadette master the three step rule, Amanda Z. and Courtney sword fight, April climb, and I witnessed a whole lot of parkour practice. (You guys are amazing.) Alberto of Team Cheater fame was the MVP AGAIN as he won the lava pit race. Dude, you’re just too good. Wait, who am I kidding? Everyone was the MVP because everyone unleashed their inner child and just went crazy.
«Would you like some Unilocal socks?» «YEAH!» Sometimes my excited voice scares people.
And then I got Kind bars and the best frikkin’ lemonade ever? Let me just tell you about this lemonade — it’s called Bee Sweet lemonade and it is made by the most adorable little child and she donates part of the proceeds to help keep bees alive and flourishing. Is that not the cutest thing? Not only is the whole story ridiculously sweet, but the lemonade is ahhhhmazing with mint and flaxseed. HARDCORE PARKOUR!

This was easily one of my favorite Unilocal events. For an hour and a half I was a 12-​year-​old again and played with a group of fun-​loving elites. Whether it was swinging on the ring forest or balancing on the balance ribbon thing, it was hard to believe I was getting a good workout until later that night when my muscles started screaming at me. In fact, the morning after I am sitting here in shock that I got so much out of the event.
From the race in the foam pit to the hula hoop battles, it was fun competing with everyone in this crazy space. I personally couldn’t stop bouncing on the floor as the springs below it made me feel like Tigger.
The 2 guys that run this space are amazing and have obviously put their heart and soul into the space. They were great at leading us in the different activities we did and giving us directions in doing different tricks and using the equipment.
As always, it was a great group of Unilocal Elite’s and a terrific event!

I’m sore from going through this course. You basically have to use your strength to lift yourself up. I had a great time.
Landing on foam. Trying to get on to the net. Tightrope walking with my legs shaking like crazy. Sliding across the bar. Climbing up and down walls which I was surprised that I didn’t get injured. Running on the ramps — I eventually mastered that portion.
It was fun when there was two competitions — hula hoop smackdown and the foam pit contest. I couldn’t believe how hard to get out of the foam pit was.
There was KIND bars and lemonade for snacks too.

Being a ninja ain’t easy, but its hella fun!
The space doesn’t look very big, but its packed to the brim with limitless options for throwing your body around. Some of those options are pretty obvious like the slackline, the monkey bars, and the foam pit (JUMP IN!). Then there is the springboard floor where we got a little lesson in basic parkour and hula hoop battling.
All of us were having a good time and really letting loose with all the games and options they had to offer. The owner and staff were super nice and had some crazy moves, so if you go here maybe you’ll be as good as them.
As always puts on a great show!

This place is amazing. It’s a really fun way to stay fit. They’ve got many obstacles from rope ladders to a slack line for you to try. They even have a sword fight station on bosu balls. The foam pit was by far the star of the show where we played the «buried alive» game where 3 competitors would lie on their back on the bottom of the pit with their feet raised touching the pit wall and then dashing to dig themselves out from the sea of foam cubes to reach the other end. There was also an epic hula hoop war among the elites with a great core workout to boot! What a great event! Thanks to Courtney for hosting, the lovely sponsors (Kind Bar & Bee Sweet) for the treats and of course the Elites that made for a fun event!

I got to live out my ninja warrior fantasies!!!
Despite failing miserably had a great time. Ben, the owner, offered some suggestions on how we could use the equipment and was low pressure. When you’ve got something awesome it isn’t necessary and I’m a big fan of a good host and laid back attitude.
The equipment was all clean and well kept. I enjoyed the foam pit.
Plus, Ryan S. schooled me on homemade bacon, and will gladly share if you give him a belly rub and some good loving. (I got no bacon)

This was so fun I don’t care how bad I hurt tomorrow. Holy hell, yes please thank you may I have another.
Ben, our gracious host, has what may be the ultimate job… hosting a total funland complete with foam pit and bouncy stuff everywhere. Hanging rings, a sliding bar, bounce boxes, a gymnastics-​floor open area, slack line, beam, foam pit, ropes hanging everywhere. Whatever your pleasure it can probably be satiated here.
Also, hula hoop wars and pit crossing games are not as easy as they look.
