Marsha pre-​qualified me very quickly. I didn’t have any problems getting pre-​approvals and she gave out her personal cell, and responded to all of my email very quickly. I recommend Marsha and her team for any mortgage transaction. Excellent customer service and follow-​up.

Simply put, go elsewhere… anywhere else, even one of the big banks (as much as I hate to say that) If you’re a first time home buyer, securing financing can be a very intimidating process full of new language, large sums of money (your hard-​earned money), and a slew of unfamiliar processes (also requiring your hard-​earned money). One might say, «it’s the borrower’s responsibility to educate themselves on what financial product they are buying»… (and that’s exactly the role this lender took). I strongly disagree. Your lender should be helping you understand everything financially related to this transaction (just like your real estate agent helped you understand everything related to the property you are buying). If the lender isn’t doing that or least pointing you in the direction of understanding the financial product, FIRE THEM! Unfortunately, the period of time between your offer being accepted and closing is such a small window, that it’s difficult to figure out which lender to go with. Even if your RE agent did an amazing job with finding you a dream home, and he or she points you in this direction for a lender, run in the other. Seriously, go anywhere else. You’ll thank me later.

We worked with James Moseley at United Lending recently, and it was an awful experience. On at least 3 separate occasions he asked for a document that we had already sent days/​weeks earlier. The insurance company we were working with for home coverage was also frustrated with United Lending because they kept getting different answers about required coverage. They even went so far as to tell me they had never dealt with a lending company this unorganized and uninformed. They actually suggested I use someone else, and I wish I had listened! The bottom line is that it ended us costing us $ 500 to extend our rate because James didn’t get the loan approved in the 45 day window. I was unimpressed with the manager over there as well. Although, Steven listened to my complaints, he made no effort to remedy the issue. What that says to me is that they do not really care about customer service. Save yourself the stress and frustration and use someone else!

Working with James Moseley at United Lending was a great experience. Not only did James find me a great rate on my mortgage, he provided intelligent suggestions for some financial «house keeping» that would allow me to more easily qualify. If you’re in the market for a new mortgage, I can definitely recommend calling up the folks at United Lending.
