Way overpriced! And the cooks always seem to think everything is a joke or a laugh. I wonder what they were smoking on their grill

Small place with friendly service and really good subs. Had the Gourmet Italian with garlic mayo. Very tasty.

One of the best lunch places in South Austin! Highly recommend the chicken Philly sandwich.

Came here for lunch on my way to the Austin Zoo. My husband and I came here for the Philly Cheese Steak. It was delish! The staff were friendly and handled our food with care. The best part was they have the New Orleans Voodoo chips. Yum!

Great subs made to order. Always filling & tasty. A friendly and attentive staff makes it worth coming back. The South Austin Club is my go-to, I hear their meatball & navel pastrami is delicious as well. If they offered better beverage options I’d go 5-star.

LOVE this place. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. My favorite is the classic philly cheese steak, but they have so many options. If you’re in a hurry you can even call your order in and have it ready when you get there, as they do get very busy for lunch. Local and delicious. Thanks guys!

Visiting from New York and with my grandson looking for a place to have a light supper last evening. Saw the SUBS sign and decided to give it a try. I had a hot sausage hero and my grandson had a Cold Sub of his design. Both the sandwiches were excellent. Why only two stars? The Board of Health should close this place down until they clean up their act. I can’t believe I ate the sandwich. The young man who made my sandwich may or may not have washed his hands earlier but he sure didn’t wear gloves when he was making the sandwich. Nor did he wash his hands after taking the cash I paid with as he began to serve the next customer. Two stars is a testament to how good the sub was.

This was one fantastic sub! My husband loved every bite, and he is a picky sandwich guy! Ate the Navel Pastrami and it was juicy and delicious. Will come again!

Tucci’s, did we just become best friends? Seriously, I’m now in love with this place. It’s like the dirty uncle of sub shops. It may not be much to look at, but it will treat you well. I love watching sandwiches being made. It’s relaxing to me. Luckily, the two guys working were hustlers. They worked on two to four orders at a time, but in such a way that it was efficient and didn’t interfere with my order being complete in a timely fashion. The energy was contagious. I could tell that my sandwich dude really enjoyed making sandwiches as much as I love watching it. My south Austin club was great. The flavors were off the charts. Another plus is that they carry Zapp’s chips. You have to try the New Orleans Voodoo chips! Tucci’s is one of the locally owned businesses that make me love living in South Austin. Bravo!

My first time here and the staff was friendly! I had the jalapeño Philly cheese steak sandwich! It came out hot and fresh! The bun was really fresh! My wife had the chicken version which she liked also! Just far from where we are but if we are ever in the area again we will return!

Would have the lady cashier go thru some customer service training for sure. Not professional and definitely not friendly. Asked for refund after waiting 15 minutes(+plus) for sandwich that was not correct and did not look«worth the wait» as she put it. Sorry, won’t be returning. First impressions are lasting impressions.

Excellent east coast style hoagies. I loved in philly and these are as close as you can get. Try the Italian and don’t forget the peppers.

I just had the deluxe Italian with hot peppers and relish. The bread was fresh, and although not technically whole wheat, it was an excellent compliment to the sub. All in all, it was very good and I’ll be back next time I’m down at the Y. The owner is on site and fully engaged!

****WEWONTBEBACK**** I’m always looking for new places to take friends, family and customers… Well this place did not make the list. Here’s how it went. Place not very organized behind the counter, multiple meats and vegetables prepared on dirty contaminated surfaces. Bread, meat and vegetables are not very fresh or appetizing. Open containers of gelatinous/slimy peppers of sorts. 14″ subs are more like 12″ and tasteless. Salad was very disappointing. We ordered: 2 each 15″ chicken Philly subs $ 26(Tasteless) Unbelievably disappointing 1 salad w/2 meat split $ 8(Small) was more like a side salad or McDonald’s salad. 2 large drinks $ 4.50(Decent Tea) Total with Tax just under $ 42 If you know a good sub and or salad place please let me know.

After reading Unilocal reviews I wanted to try this place. These sandwiches«suck» just like all the other places around here. Precut cold cuts, boring bread, no gloves. I don’t think people in Austin have a frame of reference for a good sandwich. Go to Central Grocery in New Orleans or a multitude of places in NY and find out what a sandwich is supposed to be before evaluating mediocrity. The service and staff is fine but they have no clue how to make a sandwich.

BESTSANDWICH My first time ever trying this place, I tried Tucci’s Turkey(Cajun) and wow, I was really amazed. I never knew a sandwhich could taste that good! It’s so simple yet so delicious. I don’t understand how Tucci’s hasn’t grown into a vast number of locations yet, really and truly a hidden gem. Thank you Tucci’s for raising my sandwhich standards!

I’ve been here a couple of times. The atmosphere is laid back and the service is always spot on. The staff seems to be a fan of the sandwiches themselves and take care when putting them together. I’ve ordered a couple of cold subs(been too hot to order a hot sub) and they did not disappoint. The garlic mayo is awesome and I love that they have a variety of peppers and pepper relish to choose from. I believe the meat is all boar’s head and is pretty tasty. The construction method is unique, with the meat going on last. It makes for a sandwich where each bite gives you meat, veggies and sauce. Overall, a good sub for a good price.

First time here, Coty is working, just rode 20 miles on my bicycle and in the mood for a chicken Philly. 1. You can have the sub made to order. I opted for the jalapeño & banana pepper topped with provolone… the way I like. 2. Peppers were cooked in with the meat to soak flavor… the way I like. 3. Bread is fresh… SUPERIMPORTANT. 4. Sandwich is perfect size with regular meat. Not a bite too much, just enough to fill me up and get me back on the road. The only bad thing is they use the Steak’em style chicken and not chicken breast. All in all, good sandwich. I recommend it for a quick bite or a casual dine in to get out of the sun.

Now on 71! Southies rejoice! Same great philly sandwiches. I lived in Philly for over 20 years so trust me when I say this is the real deal.
