They’re closed. What happened? Well I guess after reading the previous reviews then I can figure it out. It use to be good but it’s been over a month since we’ve eaten there. Surprised when hubby went there to bring us lunch back and he stated that they closed and the Violation of Lease notice was on the door. Oh well.

Be ware. This restaurant doesn’t do better because of the owners. These people don’t know how to treat their employees. All they care about is money. They don’t care about their employees or costumer. I know somebody that just to work for them, this person quit because of the way everything was managed. The owners keep the tips. That money is not divided between the employees. They don’t follow all the hygiene rules. It is a surprise this place still open.

So I have been here a few times so far and I’ve came to the conclusion that this place is just not good for smoothies. I love a smoothie that is creamy but full of flavor from actual fruit going in it. The smoothies I get from tropical are watered down and tasteless. I’m pretty sure it’s made with only juice and ice. This is after trying 3 different flavors. The price is pretty low compared to what other places will charge and if you’re looking for something cold it could help beat some heat. If your looking for a smoothie for a meal replacement then go to juice land.

Great smoothies, however the wait is ridiculously long. Employees have no sense of urgency or consideration for patrons time. I witnessed an employee count receipts while myself and another gentlemen stood waiting for her to complete«her» task before we could place our order. The atmosphere might be nice but I’d like to get in and get out quickly not sit and enjoy it.

The smoothie I had was good, but I waited a very long time for a Flatbread sandwich, just to find out if was given to another customer waiting in the lobby. The employee then tried to give me that same sandwich. I had to insist that they make me a new one. I definitely won’t be ordering food from here again.

If I could go NOSTARS I would. I’m not sure if this place is going out of business and they are just trying to use up what product they have left or what. I went last night, against my better judgement, because I just can’t seem to give up on this place. They have a great location and if you go to any other franchise they have a great product. We weren’t greeted when we walked in and had to flag down a gentleman because the kitchen staff couldn’t hear us over the audio in the kitchen(which by all of the cursing sounded like they were listening to an episode of south park). I asked if I could order a different side besides the two types of chips that they had and the gentleman told me that they have bananas but they are«really old»… sooooo after I cancelled my smoothie order(it was supposed to have the old bananas in it) I got the buffalo chicken wrap. It was horrible, the chips I got were stale, the dining area had so many fruit flies we ended up leaving our table to eat outside, all in all I wish this place would get bought out or just shut down. *if you do go in. Take a look at the paint job on the tallest wall, you will notice that is has only been painted halfway up, that’s how I feel about the way this place is being run(halfa$$ed). The owner couldn’t even take the time to paint the whole wall. He just stopped halfway. To me that says A LOT.

This place is usually great and I am in and out but not today. The service was terrible. Very rude and only had 2 employees working with a line of people waiting to order and not even being acknowledged. They were yelling drink orders that you couldn’t even understand, and it took almost 30 mins for my flatbread sandwich & smoothie. I took it to go and when I went to eat it the bread was burnt. I will not be going back to this location, it was ridiculous. The 1431 location is way better I will be taking my business there from now on. They need to hire more help especially during lunch hours. I was very disappointed today and will now be late for my appointment I have.

Frustrated with this place so much we won’t return. 20 min to get 2 fish tacos and a smoothie? I will say… the tacos were good– but not 20 min good. Extremely slow service. Teenagers poorly trained working the cashier. Won’t speak clearly, won’t call out your name loud enough when the food is ready. Just all wrong!!! Cmon management– make some changes!!! Or maybe it’s poor management?

Now I came here on a day where they were giving out free smoothies, so it was a special circumstance and they were super duper busy. I got a huge strawberry banana smoothie but it was not sweet at all! I wasn’t sure if they have a no added sugar policy and just relied on the natural sweetness of their fruits, but it was a very bland tasting smoothie, which made it hard to finish. Perhaps on a day when they’re not quite so busy, the smoothies taste better. It was free, so I can’t complain — maybe I will try them out again on a different day.

I stopped going to this location. Just wasn’t worth me wasting my time. The last 3 times I went by they were out of limes. They need to keep better track of their inventory and ingredients apparently. I got to a gas station expecting gas. I go to a smoothie shop expecting a smoothie… But to much to ask at this location.

Took 10 minutes before someone got my order, and the cashier looked bored and disinterested, like a robot if anything. After that I waited 30 minutes to get my takeout order and smoothie, I found out once I was back at work(since I only have an hour lunch break and they took so long) that they gave me the wrong thing! It was the right smoothie but the wrong food, which I still ate since I was back at work and hungry at this point, but it tasted too spicy. Way too spicy and not like my past orders. Wont be back at this location, ever. The smoothie was ok, not phenomenal, but the whole experience with customer service, waiting time, food quality and value of the food for the price is just one star.

Food and drinks are good but service is HORRIBLE. Never fails — every time I come here I end up waiting ATLEAST15 minutes and the place is completely empty. It’s absolutely ridiculous. No sense of urgency at all with staff and management is never on site. UGH! It’s so frustrating! This will be my last time at this location.

This place really is a shame. From the outside you can’t tell they are open because their neon signs are not functioning, do to lack of business they are almost always running on a skeleton staff of two so when they get busy you wait forever or if they are both occupied you stand there wondering if they even know you are in line waiting to be acknowledged. Instead of recognizing that his franchise is failing and saving the labor by working him or herself the owner has enlisted high school kids that aren’t going to go the extra mile because they don’t know to. I love Tropical Smoothie and used to GM a restaurant directly next to one in Cedar Park that I will still go out of my way to visit but this place is giving it a bad name and if the franchise knew that it was being run this poorly I’m sure they would shut this place down. It’s going to be a hill for them to get out of but with hard work and some general cleaning and maintenance the owner could be successful. Don’t bother giving them your business till then the Tropical Smoothie Café in 1890 Ranch on 1431 on Cedar Park is where you should take your money.

Smoothies and food are okay. Too bad there aren’t different size drinks. What made me not want to come here again was watching the lady employee come out of the bathroom and into the kitchen and handle my food without gloves. She had a glove on one hand and picked my food up with the un-gloved hand. Gross and unsanitary.

Stood in line for a few minutes to order, nobody running the counter, finally got a chance to order and gave it and nobody listened and she was pulled away for something, another woman came up asked for my order and didn’t listen so I had to repeat myself a 3rd time. Horrible customer service. Change people or change people. ***update*** Just saw 2 gentlemen, one after the other, come in and stand at the counter for over 10 minutes each and just walk out due to the lack of service. Also when my smoothie was brought out, the girl bringing it to me didn’t even know what my order was and handed me 2 smoothies, one of which was actually mine, this has been a very unprofessional experience and I will not be coming back here.

We came for lunch this past Sunday. No other guests were there when we arrived. They had«updated» their menu once again so it took a while to find things. We ordered three sandwiches, a kids pizza and kids quesadilla. The soda machine was out of ice, and the coke was flat. The employees didn’t know how to fix the fountain as the manager was out. It took 10 minutes to make the food, and my wife’s sandwich was toasted black. Their response was that it was supposed to be toasted… did she not want it toasted? My son’s sandwich had maybe a quarter-strip of bacon(ordered an adult sandwich). My other son’s pizza was way too soft… likely just reheated in a microwave. I always seem to get talked into visiting this place once a year, but I won’t make that mistake again. I wanted to take the next step and warn others too. Subway is a better bet than this place.

Why is it always a 15 to 20 minutes to get a smoothie? It seems like the staff here has no sense of urgency. There is a service window. We can see you. As you take my order and then walk or more so mosey over to make it. About half way you stop to talk to your co-worker. Then, in your own time all the while chatting slowly put together my overpriced salad and then under blend my smoothie. I work in the service industry and someone really needs to train the staff at this location on what good customer service looks like. When the manager is here is way better but don’t come in on his off day. I’ve spent the time I’ve been waiting on this place to write this entire review. I’m at 18 minutes and counting. No smoothie, no salad. What is wrong I’ve got to go to work

We came here for a quick lunch after walking along Brushy Creek, but there was nothing quick about it. There were only a few customers in line, but it still took a good 10 minutes to even get to place our order. Then it took another 20 – 30 minutes before our two sandwiches and two smoothies were ready. My sandwich had a very small amount of the walnut chicken salad on it(I’ll post a picture), and both of our smoothies were far too sweet. We found ourselves wishing we had driven to Jamba Juice for our smoothies and gone just about anywhere else for our sandwiches.

This place could be a delicious hot spot in Avery IF it had better food. It is mediocre through and through. Everything. The wraps are inconsistent. Last buffalo chicken wrap had so much buffalo sauce that the tortilla just fell apart. Needless to say that’s all it tasted like. The Caesar wrap was mostly lettuce. The chicken salad with walnuts is dry and pricey for the small amount you get. My son likes the breakfast wraps. I have never had one. Even the smoothies have declined in flavor as of late. This place is pricey too! Over $ 10 for any combo. Great concept that just doesn’t measure up.

It’s contrarian day* Ok, their wraps are weak. Turbinado is another word for sugar. Décor is sparse and island cheezy. But… But… The Kale smoothie is deliciously refreshing and 220 calories(no fake sweetener either). It’s the only thing I ever order there. *wtf, Unilocal spell check can’t spell contrarian?
