Who hasn’t had a late night hankering for some KFC? Not the kind served by a southern Colonel. I’m talking that Korean Fried Chicken. Together is about the only place that stays open fairly late and serves KFC alongside other typical Korean food. The service is as expected for a spot with two workers or so working into the wee hours of the morning, slightly slow. So order a bottle or two of some Soju and wait patiently. The chicken comes with a lot of the fixings so get ready to eat a lot. It’s hot and crunchy. If you order the flavored stuff it’s not bad but I prefer the dry stuff. It’s not as messy to eat. Definitely one of my top late night spots when I am awake into the wee hours. Anyways, did he ever serve in the armed forces?

It’s literally the set of a Korean soap opera. Imagine the local hang out spot for good eats and getting drunk with your pals. THISISIT! You walk in, it’s dimly blue lit with Korean music and the likes. Smaller, intimate tables in a not fancy way. There was only one big 6top there when we walked in and the guy said we could sit wherever. After surveying the menu we decided on the spicy chicken feet. The owner/manager/boss lady came over and confirmed if we were okay with spicy because it is «very spicy» She was right. Too hot for me to eat TOOOO many but the flavor was so good. My brother demolished them. I noticed they brought out a glove for everyone to eat with. Helpful for the type of eaters that are afraid to get dirty. We ended up doing the bbq, pork belly(yuuuuummmm) and the beef. Thickest cuts of meats. They serve the meat with tongs and scissors(to cut). Other Korean places just have the thinly sliced meat on the plate for you to cook but this. Drools. So good. The banchan served here wasn’t my favorite but they had some good dishes. The rice served with it was delish, too. We are not strangers to Korean food. It’s always been a yummy option for a meal but Together def was great for a cold November evening with all the aspects that would have us coming back for more. Service: outstanding. Both people attended to us and were super friendly From the reviews I see that the new ownership just got taken over. Hopefully more people come out to enjoy this place now. I’ll be back next time I’m in austin.

I have been to this restaurant over past 7~8 years and it’s been a true love-hate relationship. Love, because I have known the owners for so long, giving them businesses and hard times at the same time, they treat me like a son that they wish they never had. Love, because when I was either hungry or lonely, sometimes both, «Together» was always there for me to cheer me on. Love, because they open late to always satiate my Korean cravings. Hate, because it was always messing up with my diet which forced me to «restart tomorrow». Hate, because I still have memories with my exes in that restaurant. Hate, because they named their restaurant«Together» and I make stupid puns with that name… Such as «hey guys, let’s go to Together, together». So, now they are under a new management whom I happened to know for over a decade in ATX from restaurant managing. They were the opening members of «Arirang» and they also used to own«Little Tokyo» which have been my go-to hangout in my 20s. Long story short(it’s already too long!!), this place is the best«Late night Korean drinking place» in town. They open everyday from 6pm to 2am(tentative), except they close on Tuesdays. Great food, great exotic Korean drinks such as Soju, Bokboonja etc, and on top of that, great service for a change. I went to this place four times last week and I am a very happy man.

It’s hard to describe my feeling about this restaurant, their food is okay and the interior is not perfect, but I just really love their atmosphere. It gives me a touch of 80s and I can always enjoy my time with my friends here. I’d strongly recommend this place if you wanna chill a bit.

After reading the reviews I was very hesitant to stop and eat here but it was one of the only korean restaurants open later than 11pm. It was delicious!!! Maybe because growing up in a town where there were many korean restaurants, it gave me more patience to understand that they aren’t going to be at your table checking on you every couple minutes. It just isn’t how it is in that environment. We had pleasant service and the food was fantastic! Will definitely come here again.

I came here due to all the positive reviews, and the prospect of interesting dishes like silkworm soup. I left having had probably the worst Korean food of my life(and I’ve eaten a lot of it). Banchan started off with raw sticks of carrots and celery with Kewpie mayo. Seriously? Thankfully they brought out the traditional sides — about a half dozen of them. None of them were very exciting; all tasted very bland with watered down flavor. A dish of japche noodles tasted more like American-Chinese takeout. My soondooboo(soft tofu soup) tasted basically like burnt water, with hardly any flavor from the fermented soybean and chili pastes. An overcooked egg was already inside it, instead of being offered on the side. The fried yellow croaker was the only thing salvageable. We skipped on ordering the silkworm.

First let me say Korean comfort food is not my favorite, mostly because I don’t like biting into crunchy or chewy parts of meat. So with that said, the spicy chicken was a flavorful dish, although I picked my way through the pieces of chicken. The sweet potato noodles with vegatables was a nice dish, like the Korean version of vegetable soup atop noodles. The noodles are clear and light, and as an added bonus they are gluten free(if you roll that way). The kimchi pancakes were very tasty; one plate would be good to share and then split something else. They were not the distinct strong and spicy flavor of pickled kimchi; in the pancakes the flavor was more a subtle cabbage. The dumplings were fabulous. You can eat well here on the cheap.

If you can order in Korean and don’t mind the slightly run down setting, Together does right what every other Korean restaurant in Austin does wrong, its food. You can order dishes that aren’t offered at other local Korean restaurants, the panchan is well made and tasty, and the ajumma who serves you will be quick with the panchan refills if you ask for them. Aside from the Korean Komfort Food Trailer, Together is the only Korean restaurant I’d recommend to Korean friends/family in Austin.

It’s Almost like you’re in a Korean drama eating at one of those places. The service was great, she cooked our bbq and put it on a plate for us. The pork belly was delish and the galbi, omgggg soooooo yummy. & came with So many side dishes. The Korean spicy fried chicken was absolutely amazing! Idk if I was really hungry or I just loved it that much but I’ll definitely be back for it again.

This place is seriously underrated. The restaurant name is «aww adorbs». I think they have the best side dishes I’ve had in Austin; usually I’ll eat some of everything, but this time I ate all of everything. The only thing that wasn’t exactly what I expected was the tofu jjigae, which was a little more soupy and a little less tangy than I expected/wanted, but for all I know, that’s maybe how it’s supposed to be? Anyway, everything was great. The wild raspberry wine was too sweet for my personal taste, but it was very rich and flavorful and would make kickass Jell-O shots: p we also had short ribs, and those were marinated and cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend! Service was attentive but did not hover. Oh, and prices are really, really reasonable especially for the quality and quantity. The wait wasn’t bad at all for food to leave the kitchen, and we didn’t have to wait for a table at 8 p.m. on a Saturday night. Yay!

This place a gold mine. I really enjoyed the place. It is small and the food is great. It only has about 8 — 10 tables and the waitstaff is very attentive. My water glass was never empty. The food was delicious and we were full when we left. We had a chicken bulgogi, is was just spicy enough but not too hot that we burned our mouths. We had a fried fish that went well with the tofu soup. We also had an egg dish that look like an omelette and I think that was the best. This place was hard to find and parking was even harder to find. This is a place I would come back and bring more friends.

Food was good, interior of the store made me feel like I was in a kid’s old playhouse-cardboard partitions sectioning off the tables were a bit odd. Reminded me of the old outdoor area of Maria’s Taco express in South Austin. Love the hours of this place too.

Came here cause Hunan a couple stores down was closing soon. They open at 4pm, but all the way to 2am! I was craving Korean fried chicken, and heard this place had some decent ones. The whole chicken was only $ 13, which is a couple bucks cheaper than other places that I’ve tried in Austin. So kudos to that! I got the one with the sweet and spicy sauce. It wasn’t super spicy, but still had a little kick to it. The way the chicken is fried is more like a tempura style, which can be a hit or miss to some people. I personally don’t mind but prefer the crisp more American way, which I have seen some places do it. It wasn’t the best chicken I’ve had, but I definitely wanna come back for their samgyupsal!

Came here on a Sunday with some friends. One of my friends is Korean and I am a self-proclaimed Korea-addict. I really loved this place. My fiancée and I ordered Samgyupsal, pork belly, that we were able to grill up right on the table. My complaints about their Samgyupsal is that I’m accustomed to the pork belly being cut prior to cooking and I’m pretty sure I didn’t need the waitress to manage my grill for me. It felt a little intrusive on us and I felt bad that she had to stand at our table until all our pork belly was done cooking. We also ordered one bottle of Soju, which was enough for all of us to have two shots worth. I also ordered Jjin Mandu, steamed dumplings, which I feel I can’t really review because I have a terrible weak spot for dumplings… period. A couple of my friends ordered Kimchi Jigae and Bulgogi, both of which were good. Another of my friends TRIED to order Pa Duk(she had brought her bairn and was trying to get something easy to eat between them), a boneless chicken and green onion dish, but the waitress wouldn’t let her. I don’t know why and I think it was just a communication barrier but… still! She ended up ordering fried chicken… which was still good with the exception of the added child watch involved. All of the banchan was good and we all really enjoyed it. So aside from the one hiccup with the Pa Duk(and the shock of the bill, haha), we all really liked it and agreed we should come back. I’m really looking forward to it.

It’s not fancy, and don’t expect over the top service. That aside, Together is a fantastic Korean restaurant, with all of the goods you’d hope to find in such an establishment. I’m a K-food fanatic(oh my god, did I really just say«K-food?»), and love-love-love soft tofu stew. I won’t lie, it kind of tastes the same everywhere, but they have it, and it’s good. If you’re down with Korean barbecue(I promise not to say«K-BBQ»), they’ve got that too. The banchan is ample, the food is great, and the prices are pretty cheap.

Korean food is a recent discovery for me. I have had the common items like bulgogi and kimchi but was recently introduced to Korean BBQ at Together Restaurant. Like the other reviews note this is not a place to go for a swank atmosphere. It is however a great place to gather with friends to experience Korean BBQ and throw back some soju. Both visits our portion of the bill(everything was ordered for the whole table) was around $ 30 plus tip. Considering we were there for about 3 hours, left with full bellies and had plenty of soju this was very reasonable. The two times I have dined here I went with a friend that loves Together and speaks Korean. This was good for a few reasons, the menu is in Korean, this is new to me so I wouldn’t have a clue what to order and going with someone that understands the customs adds to the experience. A menu with English translation is in the works. If you order meat that requires grilling they place a grill at the center of the table and you cook your own meat table side. Often it would be served with rice but my savvy friend orders sans rice so we can save room for more meat and other dishes. I have had the pork belly(samgyupsal gui), beef ribs(kalbi gui) and baby octopus(jjukkumi gui) on the grill. I liked all three but the big hit seems to be the samgyupsal. The beef ribs are very tender and rich. The quality of both the beef and pork is pretty good and reasonably priced. My favorite however was probably the jjukkumi gui because it looks like it’s break dancing on the grill and is on the lighter side. While waiting for the meat to cook try the wonderful variety of banchan placed about the table. I’m a fan of the cucumbers, kimchi and potatoes. Other dishes we shared here are the tang soo yook(fried meat in sweet and sour sauce), sundae(blood sausage), kimchi pancake and kimchi soup with udon and dumplings. I love all the fresh veggies that are sliced up and still crisp in the sundae and chicken dishes. The sundae has a nice flavor and the sweet potato noodles were a nice compliment to the dish. I could eat the spicy kimchi soup with those plump dumplings and udon noodles every day. The savory pancake with dipping sauce is a must. This is the type of dining experience where you go with a good group of people to relax for several hours while eating savory foods and drink lots of soju. They are open late making it a good spot to eat after a night out.

The food was fabulous. Tucked away in between an equally excellent Mexican seafood restaurant and a Vietnamese café, Together Restaurant is a cozy space where you can enjoy a quiet and delicious meal. We had the beef bulgogi and the spicy crispy fried sweet and sour pork, and an onion pancake. The pickles were crisp and flavorful. The kimchi was divine. It was all the best of its kind that we’ve experienced thus far. If you’re looking for a fancy environment, it’s not the place for you. If you want delicious, authentic Korean food… I highly recommend Together Restaurant.

I love the KFC(Korean Fried Chicken) from here. You can get plain or spicy. I love the spicy! The banchan is also very tasty and plentiful! I would also recommend the Sam Gyup Sal if you like pork belly. The interior is not fancy at all. In fact, it’s a little hole in the wall located in the ghetto. The woman(i believe she is the owner and works here by herself) is very sweet, but I don’t know how good her english is… I have only come here with Koreans, so I have never had to order myself. As far as service goes, it is a little slow, but there is one waitress! Give her a break, okay?

Been here twice and so far, i really like this place. It’s not fancy at all — interior feels like you are not even in America. Very korean :) Banchan is all good, the mackarel is insanely awesome! Really good comfort food. I will update this review when I’ve tried their BBQ, Fried Chicken etc… but for now, i highly recommend this place. The lady is also super nice. She checks up on you and even though she barely speaks any english, was still able to relate to my order.

So, I decided to give this place another try. We invited a friend and we all headed out for dinner. This time I ordered my favorite dish of Gal bi. I was not impressed. The food was ok, but that’s about it. Again, the service was a joke. My friend ordered her glass of water and dinner at the same time. She was through eating before she got her water. And the bad part is that the lady gets irritated when you have the audacity to point out that you need napkins or something to drink. Put a fork in me, I’m done. I won’t go back again. I can pay less money for better food and better service elsewhere.
