The Pink Pen

I contacted The Pink Pen over Thanksgiving weekend to request a «hold» for doing calligraphy on my wedding invitations for an April wedding. At the time, we had not yet even selected an invitation design, so I had absolutely no idea of which calligraphy style I wanted to use. Nevertheless, Monica replied to my email within 24 hours, even over the holiday weekend, and was extremely warm and welcoming. «No problem!» she said, «I can definitely do your envelopes. Just email me again when you’re ready.»
By the time our invitations arrived in mid-​January, I had changed my mind about everything — I wanted a different calligraphy style, wanted to add return address printing, wanted to customize one of Monica’s existing styles, wanted to use an ink color other than black — basically I threw every imaginable change request at Monica. She responded to every single request cheerfully and promptly. I must have sent her 15 emails noting mistakes I’d made on the address list I gave her, last-​minute additions to the guest list by my mother-​in-​law (how does that always manage to happen…), and more, and she replied to every. single. email. I sent her, incredibly accommodating and cheerful throughout.
She finished the job on time, as promised. She was very flexible and allowed me to pick up my completed envelopes late on a Sunday night as I requested. The finished product completely exceeded my and my fiancé’s expectations, and that’s saying a LOT, because we are extremely picky perfectionists.
Payment was very simple — she sent a PayPal invoice and I was able to pay by credit card without an extra processing fees.
Fellow brides — I know that calligraphy isn’t within everyone’s budget. But if you’re considering a calligrapher, DEFINITELY consider Monica! She has lots of options and is VERY accommodating, which is exactly what you want whenever you’re splurging on extra elegance for your wedding.

I received my daughter’s birth certificate from the hospital with her footprints on it completely blank. Nothing was filled out on it at all. At first I was baffled by that, but now I’m so glad!
I’m really happy to have found Monica and her calligraphy skills! It wasn’t a piece that I was in a rush to have done, but I was able to get it back in 24 hours. Can’t ask for better than that.
It might have only been a simple 2-​sided piece of paper, but it was important to me and my family. Now we will have this heirloom forever, and it’s as beautiful as I could ever imagined.
