Great place to relax and grab some delicious food. BYOB, plenty of shade, enclosed large grassy area for kids to run around, and dogs allowed on leash. Will definitely be going back!

My first trip to Austin recently led me to this cool spot. Multiple food trucks stationed for your grubbing needs. Benches are available to sit and eat, a small play area for kids, and a stage where they have events in the evening/night time. I went during the day after a hike and this is what I had: 1.) ‘Taco Al Pastor’ and ‘Bandera’ from«One Taco» — yum! 2.) ‘Fish’ and ‘Shrimp’ Tacos from«Thai Kitchen Express» — *drools*! 3.) Dessert: ‘Turtle’ cheesecake bite from«Cheesecake Experience» — yum as well but I’ve had GREAT cheesecake Needless to say, I was stuffed and happy as a clam! Can’t wait to go back during my next trip to Austin.

What an awesome place, tucked into a knuckle of the 360. Went there for the first time with a couple of friends with my personal goal of trying the lobster roll at Dock and Roll. The friends I was with are lobster-phobic so I was able to lure them with promises of other types of eats at the Midway Food Park. MFP is easily accessed off northbound 360. There are two entrances; be sure to take the northernmost(second) one as I took the first, which is a service entrance and only goes around behind the trucks. One quick U-turn later, and the parking area was easily reached. I was there at 11:15am on a Thursday, and there were only a few other cars. However, I could easily see how this could be packed solid on weekends! Go read my review of Dock and Roll, where I rhapsodize over how good the lobster was. My friends ended up going to One Taco, which they gave a solid two-thumbs up! I will definitely be back to try the BBQ, the Thai Food, the Pizza Place, as well as the Cheesecake & Ice Cream vendors. One caveat: by and large these are gourmet vendors, so don’t go in expecting to spend $ 5 for a quarter-pound hot dog, fries, and a drink. You’re paying for restaurant food, sans restaurant. This is the ideal space to bring people who are leery of buying gourmet food from a truck. As one of my food-truck-resistant friends has stated, «If I’m going to be paying north of $ 15, I want a place to sit and eat whatever I just bought!» This place fits the bill, it’s a midway-themed park with shaded tables to enjoy the fare, and an air-conditioned lavatory to boot! Definite must-visit establishment.

This is just an awesome place for families, and pretty cool for adults without kids as well. BYOB, live music on certain nights, always a decent and varied lineup of food trucks, plentiful tables, well maintained, and a very nice playscape for the kids. The trucks change up frequently, so it’s probably not helpful for me to tell you which one to go to, but I will say that Dock N Roll seems to always have a line and makes a nice lobster roll. Get there somewhat early if the weather is really nice, it’s a weekend, etc. Spring and fall are the perfect seasons to enjoy this place.

Not a bad place to come during work, however some of the food trucks seem to be hit or miss depending on the day or time of the week.

I came here on a Thursday night at 6pm. Most of the food trucks were open at this time. The place looked like a place for kids and a mini amusement carnival park. Not too much people were here tonight so my friends and I had most of the place to ourselves. I heard there are tons of screaming kids on the weekends during the day, so we definitely came at a good time. I took a look around and decided to order from the BBQ and taco truck. The BBQ truck had many items, and I decided to settle on the pulled pork sandwich since I hadn’t tried it in Texas yet. It was pretty tasty, and the pork just melted in your mouth and had a savory pork taste. Not chewy and tough like the pulled pork I’ve tried. The owner said that he slow cooks the pork for 20 hours which explains the high quality. The taco truck unfortunately didn’t serve breakfast tacos for dinner(why, God, why???), but I had one with chorizo and a vegetarian one with queso. It was pretty decent. Good if you want a small snack. For desert I decided to order from the cake truck, which had cake deserts in the form of a cupcake. I had a new york cheesecake and a carrot cake cupcake cake. Both tasted like their aforementioned title and had the right amount of sugar. Too much and it’s overwhelming, too little, and it’s underwhelming. The place was a ghost town by 9pm so we left. I enjoyed my experience here and wouldn’t mind coming back again.

Great food truck park! We came here on a Friday night during Trucklandia(the event where you can sample from over 50 different food trucks). There are a ton of great food trucks here, a big playground for kids, and on Friday night they have live music. It’s also BYOB. This is a great place for a big group because there are so many options for dinner and dessert. Definitely recommend coming here and trying some of these trucks. The owners of the trucks are also super friendly. I recommend Hands Held, Thai Kitchen, Doc & Roll, and The CJ Cheesecake Experience. You will definitely find something to satisfy everyone in your group.

This place has so much potential, but to arrive at 5pm to half the trucks closed, then open spots for more trucks to fill, it’s just not worth it. Trucks should stick to the hours of operation of the park(like a mall food court for example) or what’s the point… the luxury of choice is taken away. Sadly prices at the trucks that were open were also highly inflated. I gave it two chances, don’t think I’ll give it another.

If you are in the mood for variety when it comes to your food truck experience, I can’t think of q much better option than the Midway. Everything from pizza to lobster rolls with BBQ and burgers to satisfy any craving. The space is perfect to bring the whole family and be sure to take advantage of the live music on most weekend evenings. Ohh yeah did I mention it is also BYOB?

Good selection of good quality food. Beer for 4 bucks, free parking, playground for the kids, live band. What more could you ask for?!

This place is a good idea — an outdoor place for kids to run around and play while the adults relax and enjoy some good food. But in execution it goes off of the rails. The place is infested with flies. And I’m not talking a few flies but a plate swarming with them. And the good is in the expensive side. I had a wrap from Royal Roots. I love that it was gluten free and organic. But after spending $ 12 I was definitely still hungry. There was more«wrap» than«filling». My son had the egg rolls from Korean Comfort. No complaints there. This place needs work. I suppose if the flies weren’t so horrible o could stomach the high prices.

Meh. Half of the vendors were gone to the X Games. Vendors are unreliable with hours. One Taco was ok. The gringa sucked, tasted like a domino’s pizza, not even sure how that is even possible. The breakfast taco was ok. No green sauce available. Prices were reasonable. 2 tacos and a Topo was $ 10 with tip. Husband has eaten at the dock and roll before. He really liked it. This time he tried the wings from Korean Komfort(that and 2 waters was $ 11) and he got about 6 wings. Said they were tasty. Was looking forward to trying the juices from Royal Roots but they were $ 9 for a regular odawalla/naked smoothie sized portion. Too rich for my blood. Tried the cheesecake sampler. $ 9.75 for 3 that are to equal 1piece of cheesecake. Wanted to try the flavored but would never normally pay $ 10 for one piece of cheesecake. Overall, hours and vendors are inconsistent. Good seating. Parking was tight but free. Over priced for quality. May go back to try the Thai but would pass on the rest.

Lots of good and different foods to choose from. Live music and a playground for the little kiddos. Lots of flies though. We were like JJ Watt trying to swat swat swat.

I agree with the reviewer below. I was so excited to see this place going up. Since it’s been running I’ve been there three separate times on different days of the weeks and times of the day. I have never left satisfied. Half of the trucks are always closed the food isn’t actually food just more like snacks. And the park although great if it’s hot outside and the sun is shining the kids are going to bake since there is zero shade. Today was my last shot with them. Had the worst thai food of my life from Eat Thai or Die! should be called Eat OUR Thai and Die! I’m so beyond bummed to be writing this because it’s so close to me and I want it to be awesome but alas. My experiences speak for themselves. :(

I work close by in Westlake and this place is ridiculously convenient although I never went here. If you’re like me, definitely check it out! First, the options are amazing and plentiful. Anything you could want. Second, it was a awesome day outside and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to enjoy my lunch. Third, the Midway hamburger and garlic fries delicious! I will definitely be going back here to relax during my lunch hour. I’ve also recommended it to my coworkers so we may be going as a group. Be prepared Midway.

For real?!! We were starving. Great reviews so we battled rush hour traffic. 2 trailers open and no phone numbers. I’d give it a 0 if I could. Complete waste of our time on our last night in Austin.

Great little food park. There was lots of parking, a playground, BYOB, and lots of odd statues hanging from the trees. There was even a lunch spin class where about 5 people were biking away and stretching after. Next to the spin class was the cheesecake trailer. Too funny. There was a Thai trailer, a hamburger trailer, a salad trailer, and a lobster roll trailer, among others. This is a perfectly quiet place to eat lunch on a nice spring day. I imagine it is super packed with families in the evenings.

We came the Friday post Thanksgiving about 6:45pm at night. There was only five trailers opened. We picked one and ordered. I was a bit surprised how many were not opened. Additionally three more closed while we waited for our food. 7pm on a Friday? It is good for families. Kids were running around everywhere. Dogs are allowed on a leash. I hope when we return more are open.

This is one Food Park that delivers(not literally unfortunately…) I came for the first time today and was surprised at the selection here. There were probably at least 8 – 10 places here during lunchtime that were actually open, and after having sampled 7 or so of them during Truck by Truckwest, Quite a few had standout food. I’m a fan and will certainly get back out here for lunch on occasion.

This new trailer food court opened last week off of Capital of Texas highway. I love the circus like theme from the flashy bold signs to the carousel horses hanging from a giant tree. The park is spacious and very clean with ample seating and a playscape. They were wiring lights when I was there so soon it should be well lit for the evening crowd. Right now you will find Dock & Roll Diner serving lunch and The Seedling Truck serving dinner. Supposedly One Taco will soon join them. I haven’t been there when the Seedling Truck was open but did have Dock & Roll Diner for lunch last week at Midway. I tried their half portion of lobster Mac n cheese which had generous portions of lobster and very cheesy. I found it a bit heavy for lunch but their lobster rolls are a perfect portion in my opinion. This trailer food park has great potential but am reserving a 5th star for when they have more variety in food options. They are located just down the street from my office so I will definitely be back soon. The best part of the park? The air conditioned trailer with both men’s and women’s bathrooms. Amen! And the park is dog friendly!
