The Mail Store

I have been using this store for years and the new owner has brought a wonderful positive vibe to the store. Staff is so very friendly and helpful. They are expanding and remodeling which is exciting to see. If you have actually been in the store you can’t help but notice the new and improved service and atmosphere.

The service has declined significantly under new ownership as Zip2zip.
They do NOT answer the phone nor return phone calls.
They do not forward mail as requested.
They do not respond to emails.
My experience has been awful.

This is an old store with a new owner and an awesome new attitude.
I have used them for office services and for shipping and every time I go in it’s a great experience.
The new store name is zip2zip but I can’t find that on Unilocal so posting under old Anne.

I have been going here for years and can always find the perfect gift. The owner is very nice and extremely helpful.

I was holding off writing a review until I’d been here a few times to make sure my assessment was thorough. The verdict is in, and I’ve come to realize that your experience here will be directly related to what kind of mood the owner is in.
I’ve been here twice where she was all pleasantry and smiles, and it made me reconsider my opinion of the other times that I’d been here where it did not go well. Like, for example, the time I forgot to use a sharpie to cross out the barcode of a previously used label on a second-​hand box, and she called me an idiot.
Yes, I came back after that, because as other reviewers have mentioned, the line in this store is nothing compared to the post office!
However, this morning I went to drop off two USPS boxes. I said good morning and told her that I just needed to drop off these packages, and her response shocked me to the point that I was temporarily speechless. «You do know there’s a post office right down the road?» It took me a minute to understand what she was getting at. I was, after all, under the impression that this was a MAIL STORE given the name and PURPOSE of this business. I told her I’d go to the post office next time, but I wish I would have been much more dramatic. If she hates her job accepting mail and packages SO MUCH, she should really consider a career change!
I feel really bad for the girls that work with her. She can be sweet as sugar or the world’s biggest biddy, depending on I don’t even know what. Perhaps she read a bad horoscope today?
Anyway, the moral of the story is: go to the post office if you prefer to be treated like an intelligent human being. It’s worth the extra wait. I’ll not be a returning customer. A sad day indeed, as I generally support local business!

If you don’t want to wait in line and the post office (me) and don’t have boxes to fit the stuff your mailing (me) this is the place to go. She has a great selection of boxes at reasonable prices (even some of the Priority boxes and envelopes) and will help you pick the cheapest way to get your stuff to point B.

I used their service before for mail and the owner is VERY RUDE. I spoke to her on the phone about mailing a package to California, and she started telling me how how complicated I made the situation when ALL I asked was how long does it take to ship something from Austin, Texas to Los Angeles California since the package took longer than usual. I end up boycotting this business ever since and let me tell you one thing: If the owner had worked for a corporate company she would have been fired for being so rude to a customer. She can get away with it because it’s her own shop. This happened 3 – 4 years ago, if there’s a new owner then disregard this post. Unilocal was not popular back in the old days.

I have used the Mail Store for years. I have a good experience every time I go. Marsha the owner is so friendly. Going to the Mail Store saves me so much time over going to the Post Office.
