I took a class at BlackFinn and walked in expecting that everyone would be painting the same thing like the rest of the painting places out there. Surprise! This place lets your creativity flow and really helps you be an artist vs a copycat. I’m very type A and found this very scary at first but as I started to unwind(a glass of vino or 2 helps) I really got into a groove and was so pleased with my results and how relaxed I felt during the process! If you’re looking for a great girls night or a unique date night or even a fun parent/child activity you should give this place a try!

I organized a group of girlfriends to go to The Dirty Easel in November. While none of us consider ourselves artists, we all had a wonderful time creating, playing and laughing! I was struck with how exhillerating it was to paint on canvas! Christiane has such a helpful and warm approach that everyone felt free to create and experiment. My first painting is hanging on the wall and makes me happy each time I see it. We plan to come back again, and bring more friends!

My wife and I visited The Dirty Easel at Abel’s North.(This business doesn’t have a location — they operate out of restaurants and bars.) We had a great time. We ordered drinks from the menu(or more precisely, I ordered drinks and my wife ordered a wine.) We weren’t sure what to expect but really had a fun time creating our paintings. We’re not painters but we found the experience to be really fun, relaxing, and inspiring. We want to go again! The music was great too.
