Amazing off the beaten path! Lamp Chops were to die for and food presentations was very nice, Quiet little romantic restaurant.

This might be one of my favorite dinner places, but I’ve only been twice in the 3 or so years since they’ve opened. The couple that owns it(from Chicago I think) were really nice and accommodating as they checked on tables. When you walk in it gives the feel of a higher end restaurant/eatery, but the prices are a lot less than similar spots in town. The food was perfect, high quality food that really tasted like they use fresh ingredients. We had appetizer, entrees, dessert and drinks and we’re out the door for less $ 80 or so last time. It’s a nice location too, because you’re a little away from the craziness yet you still get to be close to everything and have a view of town lake.

Jan 1, 2016 @2:10pm Our party of 7, with a reservation at 12:45 just got our food. We ordered at 1:45 — not because we weren’t ready to order, mind you. It took 30min just to get water and menus. 2:15pm Still missing 1 dish. Very hangry 2:20pm Asked for check because you know… That might take another 1.5hrs 2:25pm We’re all finished. Food verdict: — popover benny: good but extremely small. It’s one popover that they split in half — chicken hash: good but barely any chicken and also very small — breakfast pizza: bad 2:30pm Check came! Complained to the manager and she’s giving our party 50% off our bill. That’s nice of her and she apologizes for the slow service because it’s New Year’s Day brunch. 2:35pm Stopping by shake shack before going home. Overall verdict: Small portions — good for those who are dieting. If you’re someone who has 3 hrs to kill and likes to wait 2 hrs for food — potentially starve, then this restaurant is for you!

What a beautiful spot for a beautiful meal. We came here as part of a food tour and enjoyed it immensely. Right near the water, this clean, well-lit spot was so good. We came early so it was near empty, but i could see this place filling fast. And when the food is this good, who can blame them? We did the bacon egg ravioli, which was amazing and different than anything else I had in Austin(and maybe around the world) and the white pizza, which was damn tasty. The service was so friendly(take normal Austin friendliness and then multiply it by about two) and we drank and ate and had a great time here. If we had more time in Austin, I would have come back, no question.

Location is pretty nice. Downside is that you probably have to find street parking, and it can be a bit inconvenient. Interior décor is nice. Dim lighting and nice use of candles sets the mood for a nice intimate space. The TVs at the bar may clash with that. Just personal preference. The restroom was clean for the most part. At a venue that was this nice, I would have expected it to be cleaner. The service wasn’t bad. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it was okay. The food took awhile to be served. Walking past the kitchen, I could see that they had a pretty small kitchen staff. If you come, just be prepared for the wait. The food was unimpressive to me. The portions were incredibly small. I had the«Braised Fredricksburg Rabbit, Baby Carrots, House-Made Tagliatelle Pasta, Lemon Cream.» Thoroughly unimpressive. As mentioned, it had baby carrots, but the carrots were still green. I’m not sure if it was supposed to come like that, but that was pretty disappointing for me. I’ve heard that they were known for their brunches. That would make sense since for dinner there was no one there. Perhaps brunch would be a good choice to come. All I know, I’ll never come back here for dinner. Bonus: They restrict certain dishes, such as the pizzas for large groups, since it would«congest the kitchen.»

We came here last night for a birthday dinner with a party of 16 people. We were readily seated at a long table and given time to peruse the menu. Many people in our party wanted to order pizzas, but we were told that pizzas would slow down the making of entrees. This was pretty disappointing — especially since the restaurant was close to empty throughout the course of our meal. In addition, there are absolutely no substitutions for anything which is inconvenient for those with allergies or food restrictions. I ordered the mussels as an appetizer which was a good dish to share. As expected, food did take a while to come out. My chicken entrée was also a good portion size and was for the most part, delicious. Some of the chicken skin was burnt though. A few of us ordered dessert as well and enjoyed what we got. Unfortunately, there was no free dessert or anything for the birthday boy which came as a surprise to me. Every other nice place I’ve been for birthday dinners always gives the free dessert at least.

Such a pretty spot across from the lake. Big windows let the light and the street action in. And a really interesting menu of new foods to try. Bacon egg ravioli, home made light ravioli a filled with bacon, eggs and cheese were amazing! Peppercini and arugula while pizza was also amazingly light and fresh and delicious. The bonneville drink house special was so refreshing made with grapefruit. This was one of our bike tour stops. If I was staying in the city longer I would be happy to return to try more as there are so many appealing things on this menu!

We live close by and we never remember to come here. But tonight I was reading the reviews and decided come! So happy we did, they have the best pork shops. Perfectly cooked! We got for appetizer the lamb rib and was very good. Me and my husband shared the appetizer and the entré and was more than enough for us. The service was great and staff was very friendly. They also have a great wine collection. Not to pricey either. Maybe this is our new spot in downtown !

My wife and I enjoyed our dinner here so much that we returned for brunch the next morning. Everything was so well done. Service was very friendly and knowledgeable. Created an easygoing atmosphere, though it’s clear there’s a lot of experience behind it. All of our dishes were delicious, and cocktails also. Scallops crudo(carpaccio) sublime. From the simplest dish, butter lettuce salad, to the more complex, bacon egg ravioli, care is taken with each so fresh ingredients shine through just the right amount of technique. Pot de crème sometimes seems a ubiquitous, requisite menu item, but here it was elevated. The texture and flavor, the best I’ve had, deliciousness. You can sense the passion for serving great food, the expertise and the creativity to make it a meaningful experience. And I haven’t even gone into bunch. I won’t. It was great. Go, and enjoy. These are pros … with heart.

Meh! The food was pretty good. Shared the fig and pig appetizer. I had the chicken under a brick, my boyfriend had the scallops. Both entrees good though not spectacular. No beer on tap(always a disappointment). The place has NO atmosphere, sterile. I took off a star for that. This was supposed to be a nice romantic dinner. Guess I picked wrong. Our waiter was very attentive and provided excellent service.

A must for brunch! Second time here and ordered bananas foster French toast and homemade bacon tater tots. Basically licked the plates clean and the cocktails are freshly prepared and delicious. I am a super picky eater and this place is a true gem!

Great place for an intimate quiet date night. It’s off the beaten path just one block away from the normal hustle and bustle so it’s kind of a hidden gem if you’re looking for a nice romantical kind of restaurant with your boo. The food was excellent. I highly recommend the pork ribs and mussels with red curry to start. The chicken was okay. The chocolate caramel sea salt tart was very yummy.

My husband and I went here for dinner on a Saturday evening. It was a last minute decision to go out, so we weren’t able to get a reservation at a few of our usually spots. We decided to give this place a try since it was within walking distance of our home. The place is pretty casual, like most of Austin, but nice enough that you wouldn’t feel out of place dressed up. The food was really good and the service was on par. Pricing was on the higher side, but again the quality matches the pricing. The only negative I have to say about this place is it is built like a box and the noise level is really loud since there’s nothing to absorb the sound. My husband and I felt like we had to shout at each other all night to talk.

We wandered in almost at the tale end of happy hour. Not too many folks were there but the menu looked good, and the HH prices fair. We tried lots of different things: Mussels with a curry broth — Delicious! I wanted all the broth. White Pizza with fresh arugala and pepperonicinis– Cheesy and fresh Cod Fritters– Super unusual but we wanted more Lamb?- The husband ate that b/c he loved it I had a delicious margarita on the rocks. Would love to come back again for dinner if I am in the area.

This place is so hidden, who knew this place was here? I came here for a dinner club date with the girls. The setting was nice and quiet around us and we were definitely able to converse easily without any loud background noise. Creamy Bacon and Egg Ravioli — This is a wonderful unique concept. It was pretty good, just wish it came with a little more(had to share a couple of these among a table of 7 others and there were only 2 per plate). Lamb Osso Bucco — so I’ve had osso bucco before that pretty much melts in my mouth it is so tender. This one was not as tender and didn’t fall/break apart as much as previous experiences. The sauce was ok but nothing that stood out as unique. Fish Stew — I did happen to ask one of the girls if I could have a bite of this. The waiter had said this dish is one that surprises people. In the bite I had the flavor was good. I didn’t taste any hint of saffron but I also only had a bite. The fish was good and the sauce didn’t taste too fishy(if that makes sense… since it is fish stew). So overall the food was not bad but a bit over priced for what it is. I don’t mind paying money for good food but if you charge more, it better be worth it on quality and taste.

Visited on Thursday, March 10, 2015 when all the other restaurants downtown were packed with SXSW patrons. Seating was immediate and the waitress was both knowledgeable and friendly, though very busy with more tables than one person should handle. Crispy Pork Rillette — Awesome staple appetizer. Savory and crisp and exactly as promised. Scallop crudo — nicely presented with chopsticks. A little too spicy for me, and unusually bitter. Probably from some sort of citrus rind. Fig Pig Pizza — A little overzealous with the fig(as it was a replacement for normal tomato sauce) and the burnt crust on the underside kind of ruined it. I can stand a little burnt for smokiness, but I had to discard maybe 20% of the pizza. Duroc Pork Chop — Husband devoured it all. One out-of-the-box complaint: uncomfortable chairs. I think they can do better for dinner on a less hectic night.
