Texas Media Systems

Came to Austin from Minneapolis and needed some gear fast because we were in a bind. Found this place on a whim and they were friendly, helpful, and had the stuff we needed. Awesome place, we went back twice in one day. Highly recommended for video people!

These folks are great. They are so helpful and incredibly friendly. Every time I need to rent gear, they are there to help. I’ve only had one problem with a rental not working properly, but they honored the issue with a credit. I love doing business with them.

First I contacted Full Compass, B and H and Adorama. All three of these organizations did not have the camera in stock and were not able to acquire and ship one out for an important shoot on Thursday.
On a whim, I began looking around on google for places I don’t normally purchase equipment from. I stumbled upon Texas Media Systems and after surfing their website it seemed that they did have the camera in-​stock. It is important to mention that all of the above organizations (B&H, Full Compass and Adorama) appear to actually order from Canon and don’t seem to have these in stock, or at least in this instance did not.
I gave Texas Media Systems a call and a gentlemen named Benny answered the phone. He was immediately more friendly than all of the sales agents I had contacted previously. In general, the other sales associates seem to be unwilling to move outside of their normal comfort zone to help me under a time crunch. Benny was very willing to help! Within 30 minutes he had sent me an estimated invoice for overnight shipping of a camera they had physically in the store. He sent a follow up email the next day saying he had charged my card and it would be mailing out in time for delivery on Wednesday.
Great organization and I can’t recommend Texas Media Systems enough to busy producers or videographers looking for quick and amiable assistance.
