I had to get my 2005 Toyota Prius towed from the Austin airport this morning because I lost my one and only set of keys. I was able to set up a tow with Texan Towing for this morning at 10:00. The driver Ahmed actually showed up early. He was very polite and professional. He took great care of my car all the way through the process. He never once rushed any of the steps. I have not had many experiences with towing companies or drivers, but I am glad to say that my experience with Texan Towing and Ahmed was absolutely fantastic. I hope that I never need another tow again, but if I do, I will definitely call on Texan Towing.

I had finished my swim at Barton’s and the car wouldn’t start so I walked home and called my service station who told me to call Texan Towing. It took awhile to get in touch because they were getting a lot of calls. But when we made contact we figured out when they could be there and I could walk back in time. They were up front telling me they had to charge extra if they came by to pick me up. When I got back to my car they were already there! A great relief. The gentlemen was friendly and efficient. 10 minutes later I was back home.(My service station is by my house.) A fairly painless process!

My step-daughter broke down 2 weeks ago around midnight in front of Nutty Brown. Hays County Sheriffs Dept came and called for a tow. Texan Towing was next in line. They show up and I ask where are they towing it to. Being in Dripping for almost 3 years I never needed a mechanic before so I had no idea where to have it towed to. The driver, Jerry, said he was taking it to AMM. I told him but it’s a mechanical issue and AMM doesn’t do mechanical repairs. I told him he better be sure because I don’t want to have to pay for anything else but the tow fee. He assured me they did mechanical, «that’s why we have a lot behind their garage» and they would charge the $ 185 to AMM. I could pay AMM when the car was fixed. Long story short… AMM doesn’t do mechanical. AMM turned it over to Evan and Ryan at Protech. When ProTech heard what happened they didn’t charge me a tow fee from AMM to their shop. Mike at AMM and Protech have been great throughout this ordeal and they have earned my business. Texan Towing added over $ 100 in additional fees even though their driver was at fault. Fee’s that I didn’t know were coming. Texan Towing has been contacted and refused to remove the additional fees. Had Jerry, the driver, been honest, I would have had the car towed to my house instead. So avoid Texan Towing at all costs, but please, PLEASE, go see Mike at AMM and Evan & Ryan at ProTech.
