Greeted by a friendly staff, please don’t make me give you a 1 star. Sorry. Very similar to the new fast casual restaurants, you pick your protein, carbs and vegetables in a bowl or on a plate. The restaurant was new and well appointed. It was 11:30 am on a holiday Monday and we were the only two people there, bad sign. My wife ordered the Yakisoba chicken, and I ordered the Teriyaki beef with fried rice and stir veggies. We also ordered the chicken potstickers. Well, you guess it, they got BOTH our orders wrong. We BOTH got the Teriyaki chicken. The chicken was all dark meat, the stirred veggies were completely overcooked, oily and almost all cabbage. Of course, the fried rice was overdone to the point of almost mush. Sadly, the staff was very nice and friendly.

I absolutely love their teriyaki chicken bowls. Having lived in Okinawa for a bit, I’ve had plenty of teriyaki chicken and these guys do it perfectly. My monthly habit is now a twice a week habit, it’s just that good. The rice is perfectly sticky, the sauce is delicious and the chicken is always full of flavor. I’ve witnessed this underrated place start to gain popularity each week. They should be your next lunch or dinner spot. Keep up the great work TM!

I chose Teriyaki Madness when I was confined to that area of town and I needed a lunch spot within walking distance. I was looking for a healthy spot, but I should have looked up the nutritional information before just assuming. The space was nice enough, the server was courteous, and I liked that I could sit at the«bar» and look out the front window. I ordered the spicy chicken with extra veggies. The chicken was good but the veggies were greasy and I just tolerated them. Later on my stomach disagreed that I could tolerate it. No bueno.

Very generous portions, good food, good service at a good price. I had the spicing teriyaki and I really enjoyed it. Same for the edamame side. The veggies were okay; not bad, but not exceptional. Gal Pal had a sauceless chicken and veggie meal that she added our own gluten-free sauces. They will be featuring gluten-free sauces now, so we look forward to going back and having most of the menu available to my no-gluten Gal. As others have mentioned, this isn’t the place that you will still be raving about 3 days after eater there, but it is what it is: a decent place to get a decent meal at a decent place.

Yum Yum Yum. I have been here 3 times now, so I think I can finally review it. You know I try to never review a place I have only been to once. So the menu here isn’t all that complex. Pic a protein, a carb and a veggie is what it really boils down to. I think the regular chicken is better here. I wasn’t super excited about the beef, and the spicy chicken did not seem to have enough extra flavor to be worth the extra dollar. But the regular chicken is nice and juicy, spiced well and thin enough to not over power the rest of your dish. The rice IMHO was just the right amount of sticky so that you could easily pick up a bite with chopsticks. It didn’t fall apart the first time you looked at it. That is one of the things in a Teriyaki bowl that is important. Some things to note. The sauce is great, and can pour real fast out of the bottle. Beware lest you have a sea of sauce at the bottom of your Styrofoam container. Also note the Styrofoam container and plastic fork and vegies, sometime slip. IE your fork can easily go through so be careful or you might end up with a leaky container. Just writing this is making me want to go back and get a serving. They are BIG servings too, I haven’t ever eaten one in a single sitting. But if you know me, I tend to eat lots of little meals not just a few big ones.

Nope. Like a bland version of Panda Express. I opted for the tofu teriyaki bowl with steamed veggies and white rice — side of macaroni salad. Well, that’s what I got. Did you know Macaroni salad has meat in it? Either did I until I bit in to it. Nice surprise. No amount of additional teriyaki or sriracha could really help this place though. I came in because it reminded me of a Hawaiian joint back in PHX and because Tacodeli was packed. I left disappointed and regretting my life choices.

The spicy chicken teriyaki is sooo good. It tastes kind of like daeji bulgogi, and they give you a really generous portion. The chicken is actually really, really soft dark meat — I love how easily it tears apart — not chewy or tough at all! To me, this is like the Subway of Japanese food. It feels like fast food — quick wait time, standard menu options, but tastes a bit more high quality and not greasy at all. You can choose what kind of rice you want, as well as what kind of veggies and meat, and they also have yakisoba noodles. I also really like that they play animé on the TVs, and that the location is always super tidy. If I’m in the area and just craving a quick and tasty meal, this is the place to go. That being said, I probably wouldn’t crave Teriyaki Madness — probably because I can make some of the dishes at home, and there are other places to go for good Japanese.

Why am I just discovering this place? I’ve worked nearby for a year! Haha it’s delish! Healthy options, spicy chicken is actually spicy, and it’s full of flavor. I do wish the veggies were more of a variety and not mostly cabbage but it may just have been today since it was super dead inside when I went(I get lunch at weird times) but the staff was nice, place looked clean and food was good!

Picked up dinner here last night. I’d been looking for a teriyaki place ever since I moved to Austin. This place fills that need. Got the spicy chicken plate with fried rice and stir fried veggies. HUGE portion which I made into two large meals. The spicy was delicious and not overbearingly spicy. No one was there at 5:30 p.m. on a weekday, so I got quick service.

I purchased a Groupon for this place and used it just in the nick of time. Hubby and I picked up food to go on the day my Groupon expired. I got a chicken teriyaki bowl he got beef. Service was quick and friendly and it was easy to redeem my Groupon. We were looking at the prices while we were waiting and they are pretty reasonable. We opted to take our food to go because I just wanted to be home, eat dinner and relax. Food was decent but lacking some flavor. There was a bed of rice, steamed veggies and meat. I think if there was some sauce over the veggies I would have been a little bit happier. For a quick meal, with some veggies and protein it served it’s purpose.

The worker here was so buff that I was inspired to finish my entire bowl of protein in order to maximize my gains A parking lot, an incredibly clean and minimal interior, this is not goodness gracious. The menu is easy to read and order, choose a meat, rice, etc. Very simple and efficient. Servings? A very healthy and good amount for the price, not bad at all! Not bad at all! Meat was cooked well and it wasn’t flooded with rice. Is the flavor the best? No, but it will not have a negative impact on your experience. My only complaint is that the water dispenser was malfunctioning, but Mr. Austin Olympia addressed the problem and gave us free water bottles no charge! What madness! I left with a full stomach, filled with teriyaki, rice, and renewed inspiration. I’ll come back bigger and better

Dang, I had high anticipations for this place. I ordered a Teriyaki Veggie Noodle bowl yesterday and it came out with beef and no noodles. By the time I got home this vegetarian was upset with the lack of customer service. So I drove back and again asked verbatim for the same thing. This time I only received veggies. Seriously, I was too hangry to care. They apologize and put some staples on a 20% off comp card and notify my that is for 100% of one order, hence the staples. So I go in the next day and some other guy is working and says well did they notify anyone or make notation of this? I responded, «I don’t know, I’m not the person who works here». His response was, «Well I can only give you 20% off». Complete lack of customer satisfaction! Who the hell argues with someone who paid for their business’s mistakes(and extra gas) yesterday. Tsk Tsk. Seriously just go to Zen y’all. I was treated horribly and got very negative vibes from the staff. They must have a bad case of Teriyaki madness, because they clearly give zero cares about the driving force of they’re business. The customer. P.S. Those veggies sucked yesterday.

I went here a few months ago, and couldn’t decide whether to post it or not… The food is pretty decent here… BUT there is 1 reason why I will never come back again!!! The manager Joel could NOT keep his eyes off of my wife. He practically jumped over the counter as we were ordering, never mind me standing right there. He stared at her every chance that he got, even while we ate there. What a poor representation of this business. And it’s a shame, although it is overpriced for what you get, the food is not bad. Unless this guy is fired, I will not be back!

Teriyaki Madness is pretty good! I ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki with white rice and stir-fried veggies; I got my food to-go, since I needed to head to work. I received a ton of food — a heaping pile of rice(my favorite), a large pile of chicken, and an adorable container filled to the brim with veggies. All of this for less than $ 10?! And that’s including the tip! I also received a little container of sauce — I’m assuming that was teriyaki sauce. I poured it over my rice because… well, I’m not too sure. Seemed like the right thing to do? I wish I had Sriracha, but, alas, I had none. Everything tasted great, even without the Sriracha, but I would have really loved it with lots of spicy rooster sauce. The veggies were mostly cabbage, with some carrots, broccoli, onions, and zucchini. Everything was good and I really enjoyed the meal. For lunch, I was pretty impressed. Except it very quickly became lunch and dinner, given how much food there was. This is a seriously great deal for around $ 7. The interior of the restaurant is very clean and well organized and they even included a little take out menu with my food. I could definitely see myself coming back — next time, I’m using Sriracha!

I love the idea of Japanese, meets Hawaiian style(kinda of one in the same). I liked the large portion size, and thank you Teriyaki Madness for the 20% discount for checking in! I paid $ 8 and a few coins for a satisfying lunch. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Teriyaki with noodles and veggies. The chicken was well seasoned with a kick that left room for lots of flavor. Their signature sauce was available but not needed, as the noodles came with a light glaze. The only reason this place does not receive a five star rating is because there is a bit of a wait for your cuisine. This establishment could use just one more employee so that the lovely cashier does not have to take orders, as well as bring them out. I would definitely visit again.

I haven’t had Teriyaki since I live in Hawaii and San Francisco. When this place popped up on my radar, I was excited. I popped in about 2 weeks ago, maybe 1 – 2 hours before they closed. I appreciate the clean atmosphere, and the simplicity of the menu. I opted for a spicy chicken with brown rice and vegetables. When I received it, it seemed like half the bowl was vegetables, a quarter of it was rice, and the rest was chicken. I like rice and vegetables, don’t get me wrong, but I was expecting a bit more chicken. It also wasn’t very spicy, though admittedly, I have a very high tolerance for heat/spiciness. Honestly, it wasn’t bad, though. However, I was super spoiled with the Teriyaki I had in Hawaii and California, so I know what *truly* good Teriyaki tastes like. While I may not actively seek out this place again, I would not turn down meeting friends here for dinner/lunch.

***TERIYAKISADNESS**** I’ve revising this because the owner was nice enough to respond, and I’m not as acutely frustrated as I was earlier. The owner says they don’t use frozen chicken. From 10 feet away I’d have sworn I saw ice on rigid chicken breasts. Anyway, I’m willing to settle on 3 stars and write off the difference as my unwillingness to go back and be proven wrong in the near term. Any business owner that replies without being childish, defensive and confrontational gets the benefit of my doubt though. 3 stars, and Maybe someday, I’ll try it again.

This is in BFF’s hood so we had to check it out. I admit I didn’t go into this expecting too much. I’m not a big fan of Americanized Asian food, finding it too saucy and full of mystery meat. I was genuinely surprised and pleased by TM tho! It’s the standard pick-your-protein, pick-your-carb, pick– your-side deal. I opted for the spicy teriyaki chicken on brown rice with veggies and a side of edamame. We got our meals to go(had to get home for So You Think You Can Dance!!) and were given extra soy and teriyaki sauce. When home, BFF, being the man he is, plated our«fast food» because presentation is every.thing. To me, the edamame was not salted enough. But then, pretty much a salt lick is not salted enough for me. This was easily rectified with a dash of sea salt. But the spicy chicken was really very good. I was amazed at the fresh chargrilled flavor of the meat and quality of the pieces. This is not your typical Chinese overly breaded, overly sauced meal. There was tons of rice too, enough for me to leave enough for BFF to incorporate into at least two more dinners. My only complaint was the veggies… way too much cabbage-to-broccoli ratio. I need more brocc to feel like I’m eating healthy. Best thing… I think this huge meal(no drink) was about $ 8ish. And we were full enough to sprawl on the couch like lions after an antelope dinner, happily belching and patting our Buddha bellies like a couple of old men. OK, it’s not sexy but it is satisfying.
