We have used the online ordering for multiple people at work. Something always goes wrong. Either the order is wrong or you are charged and they don’t have your order when you go to pick it up. The benefit of ordering online is for convenience and I don’t feel like the service is very good. We as a company will be thinking twice before ordering online again.

Terrible. How they can mess up a bean and cheese taco is beyond me but they did. Got 2 just now and they are inedible. The tortillas were completely stale and the beans were full of hard rock like things that I can only think are old hunks of lard from the beans sitting out. Disgusting. The owners and managers of this location should be ashamed.

I am not sure who I talked to on the phone; I believe it was a manager. I reported a spider that I found on my second bite, right after opening the taco. I am so unbelievably disappointed about this. I love Taco Cabana, but I do not see myself ever eating there again. I had had Taco Cabana three times, since I moved to Austin from San Antonio. The first time was an awful experience, it was another TC off 183 in Austin, Texas. They served the coldest, oldest, beans I have ever had in my entire life. I called corporate, thinking they would care and would like to know that a store is serving this quality of food. They obviously did not care. They said they would have somebody call me back about this, its been three months… still waiting on that phone call. Terrible customer service. Did not even apologize for my experience. Against my better judgment, wanting to give TC another shot, I went to TC again. Second time was average. That brings me to the third time I had Taco Cabana in Austin, Texas– today. Today I went for breakfast, was so eager to eat a good taco before work. Opened my taco, took a bite, went in for another, and BAM I see this eight-legged spider crawling all over it. I tried to call corporate(after searching for the number for 15 minutes) and they did not answer. I called this store(9605 Research Blvd) and the person I talked to said that If I called corporate then they would just send me back to the local store. What kind of corporate does not take care of living things being found in their tacos? The lady I spoke to said she refunded $ 6.22 back into my account. I do not see that transaction yet. I am so disappointed in Taco Cabana Corporate and Taco Cabana in Austin that I am sick. Or maybe I feel sick because I almost ate a living spider. I would appreciate if corporate would take time out of their busy day to contact the customer or at least pretend they care about the quality of their food and their customers.

I keep giving this place a chance but the service is terrible. Shame on me. After seeing a long line through the drive-thru, I decided to go inside and place an order to go. Ten minutes later, I check on the order and they all had a puzzled look as they had no idea where it was. They finally made it and the manager handed it to me. No apologies.

This cabana definitely needs some serious management overhaul. My parents grab fajitas from here almost weekly and bring them to our house. Almost every week they forget something and frequently it is the TORTILLAS. Short of the meat that’s one of the most critical fajita components. Quality of food is slightly below the standard TC fare, but the quality of service is awful. Unless you are the only person there expect to wait an exceptionally long time. We had a cashier on Saturday that got the order wrong 4 times(we ordered three things) and never said hello or sorry or smiled or did any standard customer service behavior. It was bad and unfortunately the norm from me experiences at this store.

This TC has definitely gotten to be one of the worse ones in Austin. We go to TC regularly because my kids like the breakfast tacos, since we moved to this area last year, we probably go to this TC every other Friday, and get 2 dozen tacos. But my last 2 experiences at this particular TC has confirmed for me that we will not return to this one any time soon. The food was as expected, but the wait time is ridiculous. We went in at 7:10 and did not get our 6 dine in tacos until 7:35. Thus causing my kids to be late to school. In the 25 min we were waiting, 3 people came in and left with out ordering. Clearly they are short staffed. An employee(or manager guy) even recommended that we call in the order first because they get really busy on Fridays. While that is something to consider, if they know they get busy on Friday mornings, why not bring in more people to work that shift?

Yep. I sure did go to Taco Cabana and sure got a fourth cup full of Queso with my super burnt brisket tacos. This place is normally great but at 4am, not so much. I think they are expecting the drunk crew to drop in and not actually taste what we are looking for. Sorry Taco C. I think we are finally done.

Yep, I wish I would have checked these reviews before I ordered. I haven’t even tried the meal yet, still waiting on my to go order. 2 stars is simply because I hope the food is decent. Seems like the main issue is being understaffed, but maybe they are understaffed for a reason… mgt. Come on guys you can do better.

This taco cabana is a whole new breed of stupid. They messed up my order, like usual, and didn’t give me half of my food I paid for and ordered. The cashier was a complete idiot also, said about 2 words to me and shoved the bag of food at me. Once I realized I paid over $ 10 for crap and also was not given a receipt I called up to ask if I could go out of my way to come back for that food I paid for. They said no ma’am that’s all you ordered. Completely lied to me, refused to give me 2 bean and cheese tacos and a small queso that I paid for, and was my chance to try to eat a meal. These employees could not even own up to a small mistake, made no effort to fix the situation with a customer that was over charged and inconvienced, rather defended their obvious lack of giving any f***s. Thanks for lowering the bar even further TC. Glad u didn’t go broke over those 2 bean and cheese.

This is the last straw for me unfortunately. Earlier this week after getting my normal order I noticed a health department«Detained — 4÷17÷15» sticker on the Salsa Bar(I added it as a photo). I unfortunately had eaten there twice since that date. I asked them what this sticker meant(although you can clearly understand by reading it) they acted like they had never seen it before. Great food … but this location has gone down hill so far over the last year — sad.

Stopped by to get a quick lunch and really regretted it! First of all, the teenager attending the register had an attitude of «Are you going to order or what?», since it took us a while to decided what we wanted to eat. Paid went in to get a seat and the place was filthy all over, food and sticky liquid on the floor from the fountain drinks. Tables were dirty as well. Got our food, went to get some items front the condiments area and it’s dirty all over, like they haven’t cleaned it the whole day! I looked into the lines tray and they’re swimming in water and getting spoiled — disgusting. Went back to my table and food, beans are tasteless, rices tastes old and the meat in my Tacos Street I ordered, half it it’s just fat; I basically chew and ate tortilla only! Disgusting place to eat, never will put a foot in it again, for $ 16 we paid we could’ve gone to Morelia’s Mexican restaurant and gotten a more delicious meal! Avoid this place people!

Ummmm I’m pretty sure I almost chocked on a bone and I’m 5 months pregnant! This is not okay! Never again will I settle for ‘cheap’ Mexican food or something like it. Taco Cabana off 183& Anderson Mill, is this what you would call a «brisket taco»? This thing looks disgusting and in the photo it actually looks like there is more«brisket» meat than there is. I’m usually a fan of Taco Cabana, but seriously how can you charge people for this?

How hard is it to remember to put cheese on a taco? Especially when you pay extra for it? I have had so many times when they forget the cheese, give me the wrong order, or take forever. I’ve reminded them, spoken to management, etc. I’m done with this place.

I usually love taco cabana the margaritas mostly. I go during happy hour when they are $ 1.50 but the past couple times the margarita machine has been down or they have to make a new batch. I have patience believe me however, I recently went there again and the batch tasted Like Gatorade mixed with Sierra mist. Wasn’t tasty at all! Unfourtnely that is the closest one to my house– wish they would get it together even if it wasn’t happy hour.

It’s taco cabana. The staff member that took our order was nice and talkative, the overall service was great. Our food came out in a timely matter. I had asked for no refried beans but the whole beans(charro beans). Of course, I still got the refried. When I went to the counter to ask for the beans I wanted, I could see on the monitor my order still, and it was rung in correctly, just someone not paying attention. But they got me the correct beans right away and apologized. The food was okay. It’s been better in the past. The place it’s self was very clean and there’s a flat screen tv. I do like this location over some of the others in the area because it is updated and nicer. The 3 star rating is because I was hoping the food had tasted a little better.

Went late on a weekday through the drive through. They were almost closed, but nobody gave me attitude. Food came out right and tasted decent. Pretty much what you would expect from a fast food place. Doesn’t deserve a rave review, but it doesn’t deserve a bad one either. Just a good consistent place for late night munchies

I usually go to this taco cabana about once a week for breakfast tacos and the service is very good until today. As soon as I drove up to the window the woman who took my order was screaming profanities at her other coworker blaming her for«throwing» things at her, then she saw me just staring at her and said«what am I making again?» And I was confused, thinking it was a rhetorical question and she asked again what my order was. I told her and then a coworker came in asking how she was and she screamed«How do I feel! I feel like I need a break!» Very poor service and very very unprofessional.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Order taker was distracted and got the order wrong. Food runner had a smart mouth and couldn’t care less that the order was wrong, she also had no interest in making it right or helping in any way. After a disappointing experience I filled out the online survey and one of the questions was«Would you like to be contacted?» I said yes but never got a call or email. I guess the company believes in No customer service. As you can see from some of the other reviewers, bad customer service is common at the TC.
