Always a good time! What a great view of the downtown skyline. Consistently great music and the staff is friendly and fast!

I came here because the Aveda Institute was hosting their annual fashion show to raise money for BCRF. The rooftop is beautiful you can see a lot of downtown buildings and it was night time so everything looked so pretty all lit up! I think it would be perfect to rent out for a birthday party or wedding event, I liked that the stage was open with lots of seating. It wasn’t the best for a runway because it wasn’t very long but the atmosphere was nice and the bartenders were cool, had a great time overall.

This place is like mini vegas. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve outgrown the clubbing phase of my life yet. The bar life is just not enough for me sometimes. After going around 6th street and hitting up different bars and not having that great of a time, my friends and I decided it’s probably time to head back to the hotel. As we were walking passed an alley, we heard loud music coming from this place. We decided to check it out and we’re sure glad we did. It was like we stepped into XS. They were playing awesome, up beat top 40s music and everyone was having a great time. They even had dancers spray smoke and everything was just so much funner than a bar. However, since it was getting late, we didn’t stay long but this is definitely the place to be if you just want to dance, get drunk, and have a good time.

I am not sure why there are such bad reviews. Maybe after a few tough months they changed a few things? All I can say is that we had a group of 15 girls here the second week of June, for a Bachelorette weekend, and every single one of them had the best time here. The door guys were awesome, even let in a couple of our friends that met up, whom we didn’t know if they would be let in with what they were wearing. Again, there was no discrimination and they were super friendly. The bar staff was attentive, drinks were a little pricey but that prompted us to get a table. BESTDECISIONEVER. We started off with one bottle of vodka and they threw in a complimentary champagne. We received one more bottle of vodka compliments of the establishment. That might have been because 15 girls were dancing all over our booth and they felt we should continue hydrating… Everyone was dancing because the DJ was playing some solid music to get hype to. ***Special note, being from Houston, we know hot… Having ac units at each table is such a beautiful concept. Especially when 15 girls are shaking their fannies off. Finally, the bar itself is beautiful. The rooftop concept creates a killer view of the buildings around. Very chic and industrial. We all had an amazing time and everyone has said that we will be back to give this place our business when are in ATX and just want to dance.

I have no idea why this place has low ratings. It’s so much fun! Came here for a bachelorette party and everyone was so nice. Great music, it’s the same dj from amped so a good mix of edm and top 40. The layout is great with the bar when you walk up and the dance floor further out with tables. All the tables were sold out and everyone looked like they were having so much fun!

I am just writing this because I am deeply disappointed in the bar tender that helped us out tonight. We wanted to have a good night and we chose to spend our money here because we always have a great time. I am deeply disappointed by the bar tender on the left side(the one right by the entrance as you go up the stairs to the left) with blonde hair and a side pony tail. She was extremely rude and decided it was ok to yell at me in front of everyone. I was waiting with my card and she not once acknowledged me. First time she does she yells and everyone looks at me as she screams«I SEEYOU». As a fellow bartender I deal with plenty of drunk people but that is no excuse to be that way to people. She made me feel embarrassed to buy a drink and mind you it was my first one of the night. Horrible bartender and it ruined my night. Horrible experience. Will not come back.

The negative reviews of this place kind of turned me off but to my surprise it was really a cool experience. 4 stars because of the ambience & rooftop overlooking sky scrapers. Love it. 3 stars for good house DJ. VIP area was comfortable even though they could have used some cushions. Ouch :|Downside… bathrooms are realllyyy small and no full body mirror guess no one cares about what we look like? :-(Crowd was cool no ghettos or drama just chill atmosphere. Plus the weather was perfect. Two thumbs up for sure!

This was a pleasant time. There was a Borgore show here for SXSW and it was my first time in. The term roof top lounge is used correctly, you’re literally on the roof which means, no cover when it rains… which it did. Bleeding mascara is NOT a cute look. I think they use this place as a bar/EDM venue? If it wasn’t raining I think if have a better time. The stage was pretty elevated so I could see the show really well. For me that’s a huge deal seeing as how I’m only 4’11″ . My complaint is the staff, they seem nice enough but it got to the point where they were fighting each other. Sorry guys, but that’s a really trashy vibe to put off in a place you’re trying to sell bottles for well over $ 1,000. Get it together children. All in all its has the potential to be a really swanky upscale bar that I would enjoy spending money in. They just need to get a leash on their staff.

This place is absolutely shady. While the layout and design are cool, and the female at the front who checked us in was nice enough(although she had no idea they were doing will-call for their event that night, and we had to inform her ourselves, after being told to go to the back of the line and wait — but this was no big deal.), this place left a very bad impression. Here’s why: First of all, my sister and I both opened tabs with our individual debit cards. I’m guessing the first gentleman I ordered from forgot to actually open mine, though, and I spent the rest of the evening having to explain to any other bartenders I ordered from that I did, in fact, open a tab. Whenever I ordered from the original guy, though, he had no trouble finding«my tab.» Turns out he had been charging my sister for both my drinks and her own. This was probably just a mistake and it was no big deal to us at the time. I told my sister I’d pay her back when we left. The bill seemed really expensive when my sister closed her tab, and although it was probably close to what it should have been(since it was, technically, both of our bills combined), this is where the problem came in: My sister didn’t complain, and she simply asked for an itemized receipt, just in case. The bartender refused. After asking again, he still refused to show it to her. Therefore, she didn’t tip.(We know, we know. D*ck move. But if you’re going to 1. Be rude and 2. Refuse to give someone something they rightfully deserve without any reason why, then we’re not sorry.) The bartender called her out for not doing so, but she reminded him of what he had done, as well. We go home. Later, my sister checks her bank account. The bartender TIPPEDHIMSELF $ 13. But, wait. It gets worse: My sister checks her bank account again several hours later. Summit had added yet ANOTHER $ 10. This isn’t the first time I’ve heard/read about this place stealing money from their customers. If you must go, be safe and pay in cash. Otherwise, save yourself the trouble and find a place that’s run by decent human beings. Austin is too good for a place like this.

Very cool rooftop lounge! Spacious and good music if you love trance, house, followed by a little R&B to end the experience!

Made us feel like vip’s! Had a friend from out of town out with for the night. Security guys chatted him up, let us right in, great music, pretty crowd, and we had a ****ing blast! Definitely going back.

We were there in town for a friend bachelor party. We spent 2 nights there and spent a lot of money in the process. We are from out of town and when I called the day that we were leaving to see if they had my wallet I got no response. The next few days when I got home I kept trying to call them and finally got a hold of someone. They said yes we have your wallet and we will send it to you. She asked for my address and I even offered to pay to have them ship it. It has now been 6 weeks later and they still have not sent it back. The manager I spoke with keeps texting me back insisting that they had it, but I have not seen anything!!! Not to mention when we were there we saw 1 guy knock out 2 people and the bouncers sat around and just let the guy walk right out.

Was basically visiting Austin for ACL and ended up having a better time at this nightclub. Not too sure if this is the best club in town but certainly a good roof top bar if you care about decent bar service and some really good house music

Came here for the first time last night and a fight broke out and my friend who happened to be nearby was stabbed in his leg — scary to think that people in a drinking environment are carrying around knives and pulling them out. Won’t be going back.

I went cuz a friend highly recommended it although I’m not a club person. It was cool being on the rooftop and not very crowded. Friendly crowd too. Probably won’t be back but it’s a cool place if you want to dance the night away in Downtown Austin.

I’m not the type of person to normally denounce a business for being«not Austin» or «too Dallas» or any of the usual caterwauling you might hear related to that because I generally feel hey, to each their own. I can have a great time and roll with it at anywhere from the W bar to The Ranch to Donn’s Depot, to the grungy east side Lonestar can type bars to even shots on dirty sixth if that’s what my friends want to do. It’s all good to me. With that said, this bar sucks. A lot. This bar used to be called Roial and was shut down for being part of that Yassine brothers drug ring that included murders, extortion, kidnapping, guns, and drug smuggling. It’s now reopened as Summit. I showed up here on a regular(non-event) Saturday night because a friend got a table with bottle service for his birthday. There was a crowd of probably 20 people waiting to get inside. The bouncer wasn’t letting anyone in despite the fact that they were nowhere near capacity, which is red flag #1. I finally got the chance to talk to the bouncer in the crowd despite everyone else just standing around still waiting, and he told me it was a $ 10 cover charge to get in. Keep in mind this isn’t an 18 and up dance club or an after-hours place where it might make sense to charge a cover — I’m literally paying money just to get into a bar to buy its drinks. I told the guy my friend is having his birthday here with a group of 20 and booked a table and I doubt we’re supposed to pay cover when he’s spending that much money. So do you know what the guy did? He lied to me. He pretended to check his list, told me my friend never showed up and that they already sold his table to someone else so I would have to pay the cover. I was literally texting all my friends inside at the table that moment as he was telling me they never showed up and«he» sold the table to someone else. I had to get people to come down and fight with the guy just so I could get inside. Once I did it was again, nowhere near capacity. I’m starting to think the bar doesn’t even charge a cover and it was just this douchey bouncer extorting money. I had dressed the part in nice pants, a nice shirt, and a sport coat, so it’s not as though they didn’t want to let me in for being in cargo shorts and flip flops or something. Later another friend showed up and I went down to try to get her. By now the crowd was probably 40 people at the door all waiting around, all for no reason because there was room inside. I don’t understand why people want to do this to themselves rather than just go somewhere where they can just go in after the standard I.D. check and have fun. The atmosphere is cool as far as the design and layout — I actually really like it. And the service at the bar wasn’t bad. The bartenders were nice enough, made the standard drinks just fine, and with multiple bars it didn’t take too long to get a drink. But with this being an outdoor rooftop bar, they missed their chance to have a cool, laid back, rooftop/loungey vibe and instead are going the hyper-douchey wait list and bottle service route so that the people inside can feel like they are better than all the people waiting to get in. I don’t need that crap. Like Rio, this was a bar that had the opportunity to be great and sounded like so much fun in concept but missed the mark completely because of its LA-styled pretentiousness and fake importance. There is no place in Austin for bars that keep a line outside but when you get in its empty. There is no place for bars that charge a cover(if there isn’t a live band playing). There is no place for spikey-haired bros in cheap suits looking at clipboards to see if you’re on the list. There shouldn’t be a list. Take that bullshit somewhere else. Please help me boycott this bar, Rio, and any other newcomer that starts with this kind of behavior. Go somewhere fun. Go somewhere with a patio and hula hoops in the back and a welcoming vibe. Go to the W if you want swank, Rainey if you want a patio, the East Side if you want culture, go wherever you want; but let’s send these types of places packing back to whatever land of insecurity they came from.
