Dr. Lee is the worst dentist I have ever gone to. He was assigned to me by my insurer. On my first visit he gave me the floppy fish handshake. He did not have any interest in my dental history, which includes adult orthodontics. He looked at my teeth and told me I needed a special cleaning not covered by my insurance, so $ 80. That cleaning took about 20 minutes with the water instrument. He did not do any scraping. My next cleaning was for the $ 10 co-payment but was 10 to 15 minutes with the water. Each time he spent more time trying to sell me things not covered by insurance than he did on the actual dental work. He even tried to get me to buy his in-house insurance. Not a chance.

This is my first review on Unilocal, but I had to let it be known! This was the single WORST dental experience in my life. And I have been through braces, wisdom teeth extraction and four gum grafts, to name a few! I walk in and the receptionist has a baby on her lap, throws paper work at me, I fill it out, then I’m taken back by the hygienist(I think that’s what she was?) She was very nice and she did do a good job with my x-rays(shielded me and all.) Then I meet the dentist, Dr. James Lee. OH.MY.GOD. He shakes my hand(well if you call it that?) more like a floppy fish, here kiss my hand type… I hate that! He gazes over my films, tells me they look good and then goes straight to work with the tarter removing tool of death. It felt like he was stabbing me with ice sickles!!!(even though I informed him of my receding gum line.) After he gets through violating my teeth and gums, he then goes for the polish. He basically slaps the polish on there, and then grinds it all over with the polisher. Hey, why not next time just put some toothpaste on your finger and do it that way! That whole debacle takes all of 5 minutes, he says, «Ok, teeth look good.» and I’m out the door. Gritty post polish teeth and all. Stunned, simply baffled that this man would open up a practice and be allowed by the state of Texas to come within 10 yards of actual people’s teeth.
