Dr Kim did ⁷¹⁄₂ hr spinal cord surgery from me on 28 June 15. The scale of the difficulty was 9, to remove a large tumor from c2 to c4, slight mistake would put me on the wheel chair the rest of my life. I just put him & myself in God’s hands, I had people praying for me from 6:30 am to 11:30 pm every hour on the day of the surgery. I was in icu after the surgery, 6 hr later I walked to the bathroom myself, 10 hrs later I started walking for 30 mins, I had no pain or discomfort, no pain killer ever used after the surgery. All medication stopped after 2^nd days in hospital, 3^rd day got discharged. Dr Kim is patient, compassionate, humble, caring and passionate about his job, he is up at 2am in the morning to check his patient, he has the miracle hands, the best doctor on earth. He saved my life, very fortunate to have him as my doctor, can not say enough how good he is. He was late for 2 hrs for my surgery due to the previous surgery, but he is worth of waiting for every mins.

Dr. Kim performed an emergency angioplasty on my extensive carotid artery dissection, saving my life (or at least avoiding a debilitating stroke), so yes, he gets a five star review. While I was in the hospital for several days, I got a glimpse into how highly he is regarded by the staff. He’s also an incredibly nice man who patiently answered all my questions through the recovery period. I hope that I never need his services again, but it’s good to know that we have such a world class medical professional in Austin.
