Everyone in Austin has their secret gas station taco spot, and this is mine. I’ll keep looking, but at the moment these are the best tacos I’ve found in the city.

Cheap and delicious breakfast tacos. I have to drive by the station every day on my way to work and it is an everyday struggle to decide whether to get them or not. Also enjoy their coffee and other drinks selection.

Home made tacos. There is a small gas station restaurant inside. Legit food. Hot habanero sauce that had me sweatin’!

I don’t know the customs of all countries, but do expect to not be treated like a wh*** because I’m a chick purchasing condoms, no matter what store I patronize, here in America. After he loudly asked me whether I needed more than one pack, I told him he was being rude. So to top it off he winked at me as he put the condoms in a bag. I’m glad he respected my boyfriend enough to apologize to HIM after he called to talk to the clerk after I had left the store. Maybe some day I’ll be treated with the same respect at Spring Food Mart, but I guess that also assumes someday I’ll be male. I’m not racist but this clerk fits certain misogynistic stereotypes.

This place has the COLDEST beer and the best tobacco prices in town. I’ve had the tacos during the day and they are fantastic. Very good gas prices. Great service at the counter, from the same two guys day in and day out for years. This is the best convenience store in Austin.

Yeah… I needed cigarettes on the way to the bar, and I stopped here because it was the closest gas station. It also happened to be 11:00PM. I see the other reviewers actually tried the food, but I didn’t really have the time, since judging by the guys ahead of me, it was a coin toss whether or not the place was going to be robbed. They accepted my $ 1.50 off Camel coupon without a fiasco. The clerk certainly handled it a lot calmer than the unhinged Asian gentlemen at a Shell station last year, who practically threw me out because I had tried to use one. I’ve been scarred ever since. Um, I’m familiar with Big Red. What the hell is Big Blue? I left, content I had my cigarettes. Not to mention my life.

My mouth is exploding with delicious taco flavors. I just got back from a trip to Arizona that featured expensive disappointing taco after expensive disappointing taco. It’s nice to come home and get a perfectly cooked taco, and from a gas station no less. My coworker and I tried al pastor, carne asada, and beef fajita varieties and were pleased by them all. My only wish would be for the al pastor to include pineapple since that’s what really makes them great. But for $ 1.50, I won’t quibble over pineapple.

Gas station food is quite often questionable, no doubt about that. This location has a taco kitchen inside and they have REALLY good Al Pastor tacos. At a dollar-fifty a pop, I can afford to fill up easily. The green sauce is like pure gold. Another HUGE plus– they carry Gold Peak Tea!!! It’s so hard to find and is the best bottled tea I’ve ever had. They took note to how many I was buying, and offered to sell me a case in the future. Thanks!
