I have to agree with Katie O. I had an amazing experience. I have purchased many glasses from this location and never had a problem. I had a pair of Tom Ford glasses the broke at the hinge. I also had an issue with a certain model of Maui Jims that kept cracking in the same spot. Tom Ford has a lifetime warranty and the vendor just has the store switch it out for their customers. Maui Jim has you send it to them for warranty issues. But I sent over $ 1,200 in Maui product to them that had something or another wrong and was sent brand new replacements. It took less than a week for them to do that. If Maui Jim had a lifetime warranty and switched glasses out at the store level, then they would be over $ 400 each just like Tom Ford, and I do have to say that Maui has much better lenses. So I don’t mind sending them in for the price difference. Other than that, everyone is nice there and honestly tries to help you find a pair of glasses that you like. That’s what I feel service is.

I had the opposite experience of Katie O. I bought a pair of Maui Jims at another Solstice location about four months ago. Yesterday they broke between the eyes. Today I tried to get them repaired or exchanged at this store. Long story short I met with the manager(didn’t get his name) and I was told I was one month too late to get taken care of in the store. The retail price of these are $ 150, online is $ 85. Why do I go retail? Because I hate money, just kidding, SERVICE. Helping me choose the right pair when buying new and taking care of me when things go wrong. It’s very sunny in Austin, I don’t want to f**k around with sun glasses. REI sells the exact same model for the exact same price, guess where i’m buying sun glasses from now on.

They will take care of you! If you are like me, you want a GOOD pair of sunglasses. You want a pair that feel good, look good and protect your eyes. Since I consider myself a responsible adult, I thought it time to buy a fancy pair and ventured into Solstice. I bought a pair of Tom Ford’s and nearly fell over at the cost. That was two years ago and I have cherished those glasses and get compliments on them daily. About a week ago, one of the arms snapped causing me major distress since I dropped so many dollars on them. I went back to Solstice, where Nick, the manager, calmed me down and gave me the manufacturer’s info in an effort to get them replaced /repaired or something. Needless the say, the manufacturer was a complete jerk and told me to go back to the store and perhaps the store could order the replacement part since«we don’t sell to consumers.» So here I go again, calling Solstice… lucky for me Nick answered the phone. And simply said, «I’ll give them a call and see what we can do. I will get back with you when I know something.» Nick to the rescue. Less than a week later, Nick gave me a call to let me know that he was able to get the manufacturer to not just repair them, but they agreed to replace them for free. Thanks Nick for trying so hard — you have a customer for life!!!
