Sandwich is huge and delicious! It is always a good spot for lunch, not too busy or crowded and get your food right away! The sandwich prices are reasonable.

I love Short Bus Subs. Sadly they have closed all their locations. I really loved the Class Clown as it was toasted nicely and had those wonderful peperoncini peppers on it. How I will miss them. I’ll be sure to pour one off form them.

When I work near the Barton Springs area, this is always my go-to place for lunch. I love that they have a really nice selection of subs, and they’re super quick. The wait time is usually just a few minutes. They’re pretty inexpensive, especially if you get their combo deal which is a sub, chips and drink. The subs are pretty delicious, and they are HUGE. I usually just eat half, and the eat the rest for dinner. I recommend coming here.

It took a while but Short Bus did contact me about my bad experience and tried to make it right. I think they kind of vary by location but the subs are made with great ingredients especially for the price.

This is My favorite type of sandwiches on town! in this location, the guy who works there it was really friendly with us. If you are a fan of Salami as I am, I recommend you the«bully“which is definitely a must try. Whenever you don’t feel like cooking(like us during the weekends) come here, they won’t dissapoint you at all!

The crew is friendly and very helpful. The sandwich was decent. It suffered a bit from the fact that the tomatoes were not very ripe.

I just had to update this because service is excellent. Even in the middle of the SXSW madness, the guys serving up my sandwich were top notch. The BULLY is still my favorite.

Very very poor service! They misplaced my order and did not bother to find out what the issue was although I asked them four times. I waited for my sandwich for one full hour and during that period I asked them repeatedly if my order was in line. Each time they assured me that I was just a few orders away. I finally yelled and this time the owner acknowledged that the order was misplaced! To make up for the one hour wait they gave me one cheap cookie! Never going there again.

Um yeah, inhaled is definitely the operative word here. I’ve had it twice now and could only bring myself to get The Bully again(their version of an italian.) HOLYHELL it was tremendously good — hot, spicy, generously sized. They were super friendly and i wish the bus would come back nearby my office again, I keep daydreaming about it. A world apart from chain sandwich places… and my coworker is crazy addicted to the chicken sandwich, for what it’s worth. I’ve not had it but she was over the moon for it.

This is right next to my job… wandered over there a rainy day and asked them to surprise me with any yummy toasty sub that they loved. I was not disappointed! I got the one with salami and peppers, maybe that’s a «godfather», either way I’m a fan of toasted subs now. It’s also got a cute setup with that school bus.

Been wanting to stop by for a while as I live walking distance to here. I Finally got the chance tonight and I wasn’t the least bit disappointed. I get the detention which is a roast beef sandwich that was very flavorful with large slices of mushroom and gooey cheese and fresh crisp green peppers. I also enjoyed there soft doughy bread, but I’m a sucker for delicious soft breads! I’ll definitely be back :)

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they serve all of their sandwiches piping hot baked straight out of their on-bus oven, especially since it was only about 39 degrees outside when I approached the aptly-named and colorful«Short Bus.» Appearances can be deceiving, but this converted school bus does indeed look shorter than the average bus, so I thought that was pretty cool. The guy serving the sandwiches was about as cheerful and upbeat as you could get, which was also a plus. Now, onto the star of the show — the sub. There are so many amazing-sounding combinations, it was hard to choose, but I went with«The Principal» because it seemed to have the most meat. I gave a disbelieving glance when the guy said it would be ready in two minutes, but shame on me because somehow it was in my hands, neatly wrapped in foil and very warm, in two minutes just like he said. The sandwich was very dense and substantial for just a six-incher. It was also very appealing to the eye, as you can see from the photo I took, which has gotten more«likes» than almost any other sandwich picture I’ve ever taken. Next: the bread. OMG was it great. Fresh-baked to be sure with real body and flavor. And finally, the taste and texture: Very tender and delicious, with just the right amount of lettuce and mustard added to complement the meats and cheeses. I will definitely be going back real soon to try out one of their other hot-sub concoctions.

This is an update of my previous review. I come here pretty much daily because I work next door. It’s quick, convent, and cheap. The staff is wonderful. If you’re a regular, they learn your name and if you call ahead they’ll have it waiting for you. They’re always super friendly and energetic. They make this place awesome Now for the sammies. They’re good but like I said before, they’re too bready. A lot of other sandwich places carve out some of the bread so they can load it up with more fixin’s and that’s what short bus should do. Sometimes it’s as if I’m munching on some delicious veggies and cheese wrapped in a yoga mat. The actual ingredients are executed so well EXCEPT the sun dried tomatoes. When I get one it’s kinda how I imagine chewing on a tampon being like. Other than the breadyness and the rubbery sun dried tomatoes it’s decent. I wouldn’t go so far as to call it good but I’ll keep coming back.

I looooooove this place. LOVELOVELOVEIT! I got the Teacher’s Pet which includes turkey, bacon, cream cheese, avocado, sprouts, and tomato. It is all toasted to perfection! I took the picky BF here and he loved this sandwich too! It really hit the spot! So happy we found out about this place… we’ll definitely be returning!

The people here are so nice!!! We ordered the Bully and it was loaded with italian meats, veggies, and the bread was toasted. Yum! Their wifi was lagging so they weren’t able to find us on Paypal. They offered to give us the subs for free since we were relying on using the Paypal promotion. The truck itself is cute and so were the sandwich names — Spring Break, Detention, Lunch Lady, Class Clown… Check them out!

I got the 6 «Mascot Buffalo Not entirely what I was expecting. While the sandwich was good, liked the bread and the fact they are toasted, I had a few issues 1. the chicken was diced, while it did not fall apart on me like most sandwiches with diced meat seem to, I was expecting a chicken breast — whole or strips 2. I was supposed to get blue cheese on it. I only tasted it in the first bite The bread is a bit thick, it’s not a small sandwich, but the chicken kinda gets lost in all the bread I definitely want to go back and try one of the other deli style sandwiches

I’ve heard about Short Bus Subs from a best friend and thankfully stumbled by it on my bike! First off customer service is off the chain, real hospitable. Now let’s get to the food. I had the«The Hot Teacher» and my boyfriend had«Teachers Pet». We LOVEDTHEM!!! Also the bread is homemade!!! A must stop by place to catch a bite. –Michelle (Also I’m from Miami and loved it!!!)

A great variety of predesigned sandwiches and it was a little hard to decide on one. The staff was friendly and personable. If you are in the neighborhood stop by. Better then Thundercloud for sure

This review is for the Short Bus Subs on Barton Springs behind Snobeach. Short review because of a short encounter! I am not going to go into details or spend an hour writing about what happen, all I will say is I went up to the truck, said«Hello» to which a bald man looked at me, then looked back at what looked like a crossword puzzle booklet. He then proceeded to close the book and pick up an order pad while waiting for me to order as I stood there for a good twenty seconds.(Apparently a lot of people must stop, look, then move along). When he finally looked at me again I asked«Is the chicken on your subs grilled chicken or is it fried chicken? I kid you not his response was«It’s uh heated up in the oven.» I said«Thank you.» And walked away shaking my head with a smirk on my face. This place must hire people who rode short buses growing up. Rude? Absolutely, but hey?! I give what I get!
