Service King Collision Repair of North Lamar

When I first brought my car in the original estimate was for 5 days to repair the vehicle. It will be 25 days now by the time I get my car back. The repair cost estimates miraculously jumped by 100%. When I call there is usually no one who can tell me anything about my vehicle unless I spend 15 minutes on hold. Every time I do call the estimated time increases. If you have the option take your car some where else. ANYWHERE ELSE!

I very rarely write reviews, however I am so incredibly thankfully for Chris (who I believe is actually called Erich but there’s 2 so he goes by Chris). I was rear-​ended back in November and although there was no visible damage to the bumper I have nice car and wanted to get the framework underneath checked. After weeks and weeks of fighting with the person’s insurance I finally received the estimate to go get it checked. Well I had to call Fred Loya to ask a question about the rental car and I was informed that they had no intentions of paying for my repairs and that I should never have taken the car in. I was pretty surprised by this because on the estimate it said to take it to my service location and I even called to confirm with Fred Loya that I was good to go to get the repairs done.
Anyways, I frantically called Chris to explain the situation because I didn’t want to end up on the hook for a couple hundred dollars worth of repairs. He completely calmed me down (I was enraged with Fred Loya) and told me that he would take care of it and go check on the car. He ended up doing the repairs free of charge. Meaning, they didn’t paint the tiny scratch/​dent that they found but they removed the bumper to ensure the brackets hadn’t been dented. Chris kept me informed and explained in detail to me what they did when I went to pick it up. I was so thankful that he heard my frustration and panic with the insurance company and worked with me anyways. It was refreshing to deal with a friendly person and walk away feeling relieved and not screwed over.

This review is for the Geico claims adjusters who assessed the damage on our car for a claim that we filed. First off, the people helping me out were genuinely nice and made the experience pleasant. Both gentleman were transparent and clearly the claims process, did their thing, set me up with a rental car and then cut a check. On top of that, it was quick — in and out in less than 20 minutes.

After getting in a small collision before work, I was advised by the insurance company to pick a Collision Repair location. This Service King was the most convenient location wise.
I had to schedule for the following week due to unavailability in appointments for a free estimate. I showed up, an estimate was done (4 grand for a bumper basically) and was told Tanya Niesner would be in charge of my case since it was through an insurance company. I would receive a call the next day.
Long story short, after numerous phone calls where she didn’t answer (or respond to any of my voicemails) I got her on the line over a week later. She had yet to send the estimate to the insurance company because she was missing some information. Well, if she had told me that sooner (or responded to voicemails) I could’ve definitely helped provide that. She let me know that once I gave her this information she would have it sent to the insurance in 24 hours. I called the insurance company and they provided the information to the Collision Repair center.
I have attempted to get in contact with her since (it’s been two weeks since this phone call) to see if she has sent the repair over. Her extension will always go to voicemail.
It is now January 3^rd and almost a month since this estimate was completed.
I will have to contact the insurance company for an update since apparently Service King cannot provide me with that.

Took my truck in for an estimate as it had been involved in an accident. Tanya Niesner is the service advisor whom gave me the estimate for my vehicle. Can provide pics if anyone would like. She quoted me in a written estimate 1020.42. When she was required to send the estimate over to the insurance company the quote dropped to $ 500+ I proceeded to call her and she said well the written estimate they gave me was for a customer pay price. So bottom line folks if you go to Service King and get work done they are literally going to change you 50% more than what they would charge an insurance company. Shows how much they are jacking the price up on their customers. I highly suggest never using this company and absolutely never dealing with this woman Tanya Niesner whom not only enjoys screwing the customer over but when called out on it will hang up on you and refuse to give you her managers phone number. This is the worst customer service I have ever received and maybe that is due to them not actually looking out for the customer but rather wanting nothing more than to screw over the customer and I have all the prove. I will also be taking this to the local news stations so they can do an investigative repont on it.

Took my car here and they did a great job. The front desk ladies were very friendly and My service advisor Robert couldn’t have done a better job. My car looks great and I am very happy with the work they did.

My initial interaction with them was fantastic. They took in my car immediately without any waiting — my car was fixed quickly and looked fantastic.
But then after I got my car back, I noticed parts that were missing, as well as a broken seat that was previously not broken. After taking it in, they said they’ll take care of ordering the new parts and get back with me. After a month and no communication, and no answered emails or phone calls, my car still has missing decals and a broken seat. It’s been so long, I’ve since moved out of town.
Body work was 5-​stars, but service was at best a 2 due to the rework needed and the lack of service after the initial repair.

This is third time i have had my car fixed here, and they habe been wonderful EVERYTIME! Tammy at the front desk is always so helpful and professional. Every technician keeps me updated with the repairs and so prompt. Wonderful place, i feel confident my car will be taken good care of here!

These guys are so amazing. They texted me updates throughout and emailed pix of the car through the whole process. They are so friendly and wonderful, and I can’t recommend them enough. The car (had body work done) looked absolutely perfect. Afterward, a coolant light kept coming on — totally unrelated– but they checked it for me and filled the reservoir at no charge. Super nice peeps.

The first time I went by, I waited 20 minutes before giving up. No rep would come out and look at my vehicle. I should have taken the warning.
I went back a week later with State Farm voucher in my pocket mostly because Enterprise rent a car was close by. Same story. Wait, wait, wait. Customer care rep acted like he was doing me the biggest favor ever just talking to me and then he would never take my calls or even listen to 3 of 4 voicemails over the ten days he had my vehicle. Never called me back. The guy has an aversion to talking with customers.
Actual work was fine; one day late because they had to order extra part. Clean up of vehicle at pickup was kinda shabby with shop dust, etc.
I came to pickup vehicle, waited 15 minutes for rep to come after I paid my deductible but gave up. i just took the keys from the receptionist and said i had to get back to work.
Nobody hustling for customers here.

I had used Service King before with excellent results, and I should have scored them then (it would have been five stars). Unfortunately, the most recent experience was less than impressive.
I had a 1:00 p.m. appointment and, after arriving a few minutes before the appointed time, I was told that the estimator would be back from lunch «in a few minutes». At 1:15, I asked the receptionist if he had returned. «Yes, I think so — let me call him.» She called to a back office and I returned to my seat.
At 1:25, I told the receptionist that I needed to leave, and that I needed to reschedule. She said that she saw the estimator in the back: «He’s getting his clipboard», and she went to the back to get him. I could see down the hall where she went, and watched her grab a slice of pizza in the break room. I left, and went elsewhere, where I received excellent service and a great repair.
I understand having to wait at doctors’ offices, as sometimes patients take longer than scheduled during a visit, but an auto repair shop? If you go to Service King, go on a day when they don’t have pizza for the employees.

I can’t say enough about the customer service here. Every interaction I had with every employee was top notch – both friendly and professional. The repair was completed quickly and looks great! They also stay in constant contact (I chose via email, but there are several options), so I knew every day what was happening with my car, how much of the repair was left, and a decent heads up for when it would be complete. I hope I do not need there services again in the near future– but I would take my car there again in a heart beat.

I can’t say enough about their amazing service – seriously, I know it’s in their name, but they stick to it.
I was in a t-​bone accident after a car ran a stop sign right into the side of my car. I also had some previous damage from a different incident and decided to have it all fixed at once. There was a big of a snag when it came to my insurance company (they lost the claim for the first incident) and this delayed the repair a bit – Service King went above and beyond to make sure I wasn’t overcharged for my rental car (because they only covered 9 days for the repair). Service King kept me updated during the two weeks they had my car. They validated my concerns and took the time to explain the entire process.
The work they did looks incredible – I feel so good driving my car! With all the stress that goes along with being in an accident, I’m so happy to have found a repair shop that truly goes above and beyond to take care of you. So glad to have them in my neighborhood!

I love these people! I really couldn’t have had a more positive experience. They worked with Nationwide to keep me updated on my repair status via text and email (complete with pictures!) and finished the repair quicker than I thought would be possible. Exceptional customer service and they helped make this whole experience better. They went above and beyond my repair expectations.

Proceed with caution. When this place was B&B auto repair it was fast and reliable and the job was completed. With Service King I’ve had to return twice to have the the job finished and as a customer, I was seen as an inconvenience.

It’s not often that I feel so strongly about my experience with a business that I sit down to write one of these reviews… But, I’ve gotta say, my experience with D. Evans at Service King and their whole operation made my day and my outlook on life a whole lot better. (really.)
Someone did a «crunch & run» on a back quarter panel of our Highlander, gouging the bumper & a taililght in the process. I’d put off the ‘uninsured motorist’ repair for about 5 months, dreading the experience of dealing with insurance, finding a good bodyshop, etc. I found out Service King #83 was a certified shop with our insurer (Farmers) and was in our hood, so finally gave it a shot. D. was the consummate professional, incredibly helpful, patient & so knowledgable. From the 15 – 20 minutes I spent with him during the estimate to the intake to the pickup, I must have learned 25 things from him about insurance, working with the rental car company, autobody care, etc.
And he goes above and beyond. At intake he noticed we hadn’t installed our front license plate; he had the guys put it on. I showed him where someone had keyed our hood a couple years ago; he had the guys buff it out as best they could at no extra charge. When I got fussy with the front receptionist over some provision in the contract that I didn’t understand (not her fault, just my crankiness), she got D and he patiently educated me in why that provision was necessary standard procedure. When the car was ready I said I’d walk right down. It was a hundred degrees out, and he said, ‘Stay put. I’ll come get you.” SERIOUSLY!
And as for the rest of the shop. Clean, efficient, pleasant. The repairs were done impeccably and in a timely way. (He said it would be 5 – 7 days and it was done in 5). The car was BEAUTIFULLY cleaned inside & out. Throughout the process, they worked seamlessly with our insurer, so I just paid my deductible at checkout. They called Enterprise up the street when we needed a rental for a day.
All around, it was the kind of experience that made me want to tell everyone I know about this place. Never thought I’d be grateful to have my car backed into, but getting to experience these folks spreading kindness & excellence in the world indeed made me grateful.

Service King is not the sort of place you want to go to often. But alas, my car is something of a magnet for bad drivers and has been hit twice while *fully stopped* or **parked** in the last six months (well, really more often than that, but only twice have I been able to get the other driver’s info), and Service King did the repair work on both occasions.
Not only is a body shop not the kind of place you want to find yourself, but it is also a tough place to rate, because I think the true test of bodywork is how well it holds up over time. My repairs are six months and a few weeks old, so I can’t speak to long-​term satisfaction, but here is what I can tell you:
–USAA, the insurer of the lady who backed into my parked car, recommended Service King. Not only does Service King guarantee their work for the duration of your ownership of the car, USAA will also guarantee the work as long as it is done at one of their recommended body shops, which is how I found myself at Service King the second time around. These warranties, especially the one from a company that I respect as much as USAA, mean a lot to me.
–I don’t want to go anywhere sketchy. This is a really professional store, very clean and well-​maintained, and everyone I have worked with has been very courteous and efficient.
–The work on both areas looked brand new at pick up and still do (see above note that both repairs are still pretty fresh, though).
–There was a black stain on my front passenger seat when I picked up once (maybe some grease or something from one of the repair guys), and it was immediately cleaned, and my seat looked (still looks) brand new. I seriously wonder how much they would charge to clean all of my upholstery – they did a great job on that one seat.
–There’s an Enterprise right across the street, so it’s very convenient to rent and return your rental car.
–On both occasions my car was repaired in less time than estimated. Most recently the repair was estimated to take three days, and my car was ready within 24 hours.
–I have had no issues or errors with billing.
I’m happy to update my review and add a fifth star after I can say my repairs have stood the test of time, but in the meantime, although I sincerely hope I’m through this stretch of car trouble, I’d choose Service King again.
