First time eating at schlotzkys and I must say that it looked a lot better from outside. The fact that I chose this over all the other available disappointed me a bit. We got a kids pepperoni pizza which didn’t look fresh. My wife got a pasta and salad which we left half eaten. The only thing we finished was buffalo shortbread. Not sure if we are going to give this another try.

Nice solid sandwich chain. We shared an original and one of the new pretzel dippers. Both were hot and tasty. Extra fast service with a smile and the floor staff was helpful as well. Solid neighborhood location we enjoy. Solid 4 stars every time!

It’s so good here they’ve managed to make all their meats taste the same! Bologna=ham=turkey=roast beef! Who reviews fast food places anyway? Yeah I did, but I’m really bored.

I really love Schlotzsky’s. The food is always fresh and delicious. I love the service at this locatoon. Today, my server was Quincy, he was very gracious and has«Service with a smile» pretty much figured out. I didn’t see the manager’s name but he seemed to be pretty hands on and was making sure orders were being served and the restaurant was kept clean. Definitely a great place for a meal.

Ill start by saying that I really like Schlotzskys sandwiches. I prefer them over a hot sandwich from anywhere else. I also prefer living/shopping in this area of Austin therefore this would be my preferred location. I honestly have no complaints about the food, its consistent in quality and always good. That being said, I guess my only complaint would be the service. The first time I had a problem with it was about 6 months ago. They used to have a special on monday nights where the small sandwich was available at a reduced price. This one particular Monday evening I noticed that the Monday special sign on the drive thru was missing so I asked the drive thru attendant if it was still available. Her answer? A short curt«Nope». So I asked if they had any other special and again I got a «nope» so I ordered my standard deluxe original and paid the normal price which is fine, Im ok with it because I love the sandwich and got my food and left. I was a little perturbed by the attitude I got but whatever. So here it is 6 months later… my hubs has to work late so Im on my own for dinner. My friend Imelda has been raving about thier new Tuscan chicken so I decide that I must try one. I pull up, place my order and ask for it as a meal. Im told to drive up to the window. I wasn’t asked what I wanted to drink but I figured she’d just ask at the window. When I pull up two female employees are standing at the drive thru with thier backs turned to me laughing and carrying on. After about two minutes(during which I considered driving off) one of them finally turned around and slid the window open and told me the total. I decided to tell her at that point that I wanted tea as my drink and at that point she informed me that my sandwich wasn’t available as a combo. So I ask her to just add on a tea and she does and tells me my new total. I handed her my debit card which she takes and turns around resuming her conversation with her buddy. Now when it comes to my debit card I get nervous if its not swiped and returned asap. Ive been a victim of credit card swiping and cloning in the past and Im not in the mood to deal with that mess. After whats seemed like two more minutes she finally returned my card and shut the window to resume her conversation again. About a minute later she opens the window up to hand me the food. She thanks me and shuts the window to resume her conversation. Thanks.

Had an awesome time at Schlotzky’s tonight! The food was delicious and the service was great! Quincy was super nice to us, and even hooked us up with some cinnamon rolls that were going to be thrown out. A+++

In general Schlotzsky’s food tends to always be better than the average fast-food place so that’s a good starting point. I just went there for lunch today and ordered the Sicilian sandwich which I’d never tried before. Although it was smaller in size than their standard(round) sandwiches & it did cost $ 8.65 just for the sandwich alone, I will say it was one of the best tasting sandwiches I’ve ever had, bar none, at any price. Major thumbs-up for the Sicilian.

Used to be a huge fan of theirs, but the last few times we’ve been here we’ve just been way underwhelmed. Today they had a cashier at the front who literally just stared at us while my husband and I tried to decide what to get, with this nasty little look on her face. Rude! Not even a hello or single word out of her the whole time. Every time we’re in here it’s something… I think we’re going to stick to takeout and the drive through. Also I second the opinion that their prices are up and the portions are wayyyy down.

Nothing against Schlotzsky’s in general. It’s consistently good, albeit a bit pricey, but consistently good. Now this location… Sometimes they forget my pickle, other times they forget my chips. This place is often crowded, so I guess the steady crowd is a good thing. For me, it’s basically neglected orders. You’ve been warned.

Served my Cinnabon cold! Price on drive through incorrect. Manager did refund my money but why would they serve it cold in the first place? Who wants a cold Cinnabon?

I am a fan of Schlotzsky’s 10″ pizzas. They’re the perfect size for me and the bread they use is heavenly. My only complaint is this specific location sometimes has my pizza tasting on the dry or undercooked side. However, this time it was perfect. They also have Coke’s Freestyle machine for all the flavors ever. Their staff is rather friendly, especially Mymy who has been there for quite sometime and still seems enthusiastic about a job. This is marvelous in teh food industry(or any industry for that matter).

Well, what can I say… it sucked! Seriously. Your out of cookies? and the $ 7 sand which wasn’t big enough to fill my growling gut. For those of you who were here in Austin in the 90’s when this was the place to go long before Chipotle kicked in, it really was now it seems to be just an old boring Austin started sandwich shop. Should Alvin’s take back over?

This location is near my office so I come in when I am in a hurry and want a good sandwich. I always get ‘The Original’ and it never disappoints. Staff here is very friendly and cheery. A breath of fresh air compared to other fast food joints.

For a pseudo-deli, this place is great. I’ve been here at least a thousand times, and maybe I go in with lowered expectations, because it’s Schlotzsky’s, but I’m always so happy leaving. Their sandwiches are great, but a couple of days ago, I went with a friend, and decided to try everything but a sandwich. She got some sandwich without meat or something like that, but I had a bag of regular chips(yum), a piece of chocolate cake(double yum), and I finally, after all these years of staring and wishing, tried a caramel pecan Cinnabon. Wow. It was amazing. I don’t even like pecans. I think I was halfway trying to set myself up to be disappointed, and failed. The girl working the counter was really great too. She smiled the whole time and was really personable. I learned that this place is great, even if you don’t want a sandwich.

This my first Schlotzsky’s visit in well over a decade. Where others seem to love their bread, I find it a bit… odd. The texture slightly resembles a moist sponge. Not saying it’s bad, just weird. In any case, wanting something light for lunch, a friend and I made our way here. Ordering was quick and the cashier was friendly, although I find it a bit presumptuous to have a line for gratuity on the cc slip. Other than ringing up my order and taking my money… what else is the cashier doing for me? In any case… they have a wide variety of sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups, and combos. I decided on a wrap, because in my mind it’s a healthier alternative to a regular sandwich. Whether that’s a valid assumption or not is up to debate. I went for the chipotle chicken as a wrap. Decent size wrap with a good amount of sliced chicken with fresh veggies filled the soft flour tortilla. The Chipotle mayo was… well, let’s just say if it was there, it must have been applied very lightly, because I did not taste it. The wrap itself was bland and really not anything to rave about. It was a wrap I could have easily fashioned at home. I had to douse it with hot sauce to get some flavor out out of it. The prices are right and the wrap wasn’t bad, but I have a feeling it may be another 10 years before I go back.

Him: I’m hungry. Me: Okay. What do you want to eat? Him: Food. Me. What kind? Him: Schlotzsky’s turkey with cheese would be good. Me: Well, you’ve got a job now so go ahead. Him: I spent all my money on t-shirts at Buffalo Exchange. Me. Oh. I see. I’m supposed to buy it. Him: Yeah. You’re nice like that sometimes. Me: Then I’m driving and you can ride with me. Him: I get to pick the music. Me: Wait. I’m buying and driving and you pick the music? Him: Yeah. You’re nice like that sometimes. Me: I’m going to get a turkey chef salad. I read a review about it by Don P. Him: Who’s Don Pee, Mom? Me: Never mind.
