Sorry but compared to Costco this store is not nearly as clean, bright, nor inviting. Prices are competitive but the entire shopping experience at Sam’s is not nearly as rewarding. Only have a membership because of a «couldn’t refuse it» offer. Without a new offer like that I’ll let it go at renewal time.

As someone who’s used this place for catering more times than I can count, I really don’t see any reason to continue paying my membership anymore. Between this place and Costco, I always ended up going to both. Partially, this is because some of Sam’s deals were better, but that’s really the case as much anymore. They also had a lot of great food choices that worked much better than the pre-prepared tubs of things at Costco. But mainly, the difference is about one thing. Restaurant Supplies. Caterers need those big steam pans, tongs, serving utensils, squeeze bottles and so many other things that Sam’s has had for years. Now? «Restaurant Supplies» apparently means to-go cups, plastic forks and knives, and some hot dog boats. THAT’S IT! Plus, their cheese section has turned into a smaller version of Costco’s refrigerated area with tons of pre-prepared junk. I don’t know what they think they’re doing, but if you ask someone who’s a professional that’s been shopping there for their business for years, they’ve dumbed this place down way too much.

This review is for the Tire & Battery department. Because they’re awesome. On Tuesday my car battery died. While I waited on my roadside assistance to arrive, I did a little iPhone comparison shopping to decide where to take my car for a replacement. We’ve long been members of Costco, but while they’ll sell you a battery, they aren’t able to install. That’s a weekday deal-breaker. I need to wrap this up without my husband having to get involved. So I go to Sam’s and they install my battery with minimal wait and no hassles. It was great. Until I cranked my car and it made a weird, unrelated-to-my-battery type noise. Three of the Tire & Battery staffers spent the better part of 20 minutes trying to figure out what was going on — all without an notions of them getting the work, because Sam’s doesn’t do any general repair. One of the guys narrows down what he thinks is going on, gets on his personal cell phone and calls a small garage he’s used before — someone he knows to be fair and honest. While on the phone he mentions«his friend» having car issues, makes the guy commit to a price for looking at my car, and then makes sure I know exactly where I’m going. They went above and beyond on what turned out to be a simple thing, but it was refreshing and just really great. I’m so appreciative.

I come to photo lab regularly since I’m a freelance photographer, had been for 2 years now until today, thats the FINAL straw that I will not come again. The whole week, new employees at the photo lab are not doing the good job. Last Thursday, I found the 8×10 with the faces cut across on the bottom page, I asked him does he really want this printed like this? He was redbeeted and reprinted it correctly. Last Saturday, I ordered four 8×10 prints from the night before, and I arrived at 11 am, they were NOT ready. The lab was open at 10 am. What the hell! The employee frantically printed four 8×10 prints. I almost missed my booth appointment by 5 minutes! Today, I ordered another 8×10 and it should be ready at 3:02 pm. They didn’t!!! I had to wait for the print to come out in 30 minutes. I was supposed to give the print to my client in an hour. I met my client on time, barely! I missed my favorite people, River and Stacey. They made everything ready, easy on me. They were gone, and now the new employees are SHIT and clueless by the hours! I’m switching to Precision. Bye, Sams!

They have an SAMs application. They have great hot dogs and snacks. There is decent prices on lots of stuff. The parking usually is not great though. Staff is pretty friendly. The pharmacy is very good!
