It’s ok. Long waits and the service is too slow. Food is great though. Anyone can make breakfast, I’d go somewhere else if it’s more than a 30 minute wait. Sat here for an hour while open tables weren’t filled.

Russell’s is hands down my favorite Austin brunch place. There’s watermelon lime mimosa is amazing. I always get eggs Benedict and I’m always satisfied!

Yum! One of my favorite breakfast and brunch places. Complimentary coffee or mimosa while you wait! The eggs Benedict on a croissant is amazing you cannot go wrong with any of the different kinds!

Sometimes service is slow but otherwise amazing hidden gem for brunch! The food is great, esp all the eggs Benedict. Tomatoe soup is nice too.

The eggs Benedict was superb, adding avocado to it complimented the hollandaise wonderfully. Mimosas were strong but tasteful. The interior is a bit hackneyed insofar as what you’d expect from a brunch spot with the café and natural lighting, not that it’s a bad thing just nothing special. However the patio was very enjoyable.

Loved this place. The food was wonderful and the service was very friendly and efficient. We only had a 30 minute wait and who minds waiting when you can have free Mimosas!

Happy, happy, happy! Just sorry to find this jewel right before returning to Tyler. Wonderful breakfast, great menu, great service, and so important to us, great atmosphere. Being dog friendly was the icing on the cake.

Best café in Austin. Almond milk latte is my go to with an almond croissant(guess I like almonds…). Perfect spot for 1-on-1 business discussions and personal conversations. No guest wifi is a huge plus for this neighbourhood spot. Owner and staff and top notch — very open and personable. I strongly recommend Russell’s Bistro to anybody close by, or those looking for a «meet halfway point» between downtown and NW Austin.

We stopped in for the first time this past Sunday for brunch, menu and reviews looked good so we said why not! Parking was kind of a b**** during peak hours, to be expected I guess. There was obviously going to be a wait so we put our names on the waiting list and snagged two free, yes freeeee, mimosas while we hung out. Host said about 20 minutes, we waited for what really felt like 30+ but maybe that’s because we were starving. After we were seated a very nice waiter greeted us, I wanted to try the pink lemonade mimosa for my second round but really didn’t care for it. For $ 2 I won’t be too picky, but I’ll stick with their regular mimosas from now on. My bf also wanted to order something along the lines of a bloody mary but they don’t have a liquor license… so no bar drinks. This is a real bummer! Russell’s, a bloody mary would go so well with your food! What are you doing?! Our food took quite a while to arrive, but again, Sunday brunch I guess. I ordered the sweet potato hash while my bf snagged the crab cake benedict, and because we’re piggies we split a single banana pecan pancake. I loved my meal! And what I couldn’t finish my bf scraped off the plate. He liked his benedict, but said it was very heavy, the crab cakes are like the size of muffins FYI. We devoured our single pancake that was accompanied by homemade strawberry butter, yass. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves! It is super crowded on the weekends, and you will be waiting a while for a table and your food. But in the meantime you can sip on a free mimosa and when your meal does finally arrive you’ll be happy you waited.

Three and a half stars for food. We haven’t been there since last September because of the bizarre experience we had with the management, and will not be back because of that experience. Back in September we decided to go to Russell’s, and parked in handicapped spot in the correct lot with my terminally ill mother as usual. We were walking slowly there when manager/staff came out and started going off aggressively about how that lot was for Russell’s only and we needed to move our car. It was really weird. Also did the same thing to the people behind us. Ended up leaving solely because of this guys behavior. The other people he did this to also left. Won’t be back.

I’ve been here several times in the past couple of years. It’s a little bit more pricey compared to other breakfast and brunch spots, but the quality of the food has never disappointed. The place is small and cozy, with just as much covered seating outside as on the inside. With not much seating to go around, they welcome you to the coffee counter to order something while you wait for a table. Their chai tea latte is amazing! The last time I went during brunch, they were giving out a complimentary mimosa while you waited, which was excellent. On another occasion, either the waiter or busboy had accidentally spilled some water on my friend as he was refilling his glass. The manager promptly came over, apologized, and ended up taking care of the entire bill. This was really not necessary, but it was much appreciated and not forgotten.

I love the staff. They are totally on it and friendly even when things are crazy busy over there. Love the white omelet and several great vegetarian options with portobellos. Great stuff.

not only great food but an awesome owner too! We love Russell’s! My boyfriend is a hollandaise fanatic, and he says that their Benedict is the best he’s ever had. We’ve gone for brunch 4 – 5 times, this time I had a discrepancy with my mimosa. At the end of the meal, Joe(the owner) came by to ask how the meal was. After I told him about the cocktail confusion, he gave me the money back that I spent for the drink. We will happily go back for more pancakes and Eggs Benny.

My wife and I love this place. We come here almost every weekend. The food and pastries are beyond delicious. The brunch menu is traditional, but sophisticated and very tasty. Also, the portions are just right to stay on the healthy side. You’ll be full without feeling like you have to run a marathon to be hungry again. Healthy stuff with good ingredients. The place is also dog friendly, and Joe and his staff always welcomes us with our pups. Great job, great food, great service!

Had a delicious brunch here with great friends, flowing mimosas, delicious migas and somehow they also had my favorite gluten free lemon cake that my friend bought for me. I sat on the patio on a beautiful day, and couldnt have liked this place more.

I had a business lunch meeting here and really enjoyed it. The food was fresh and the chai was OUTSTANDING. The menu is small, but I don’t mind that. Focus and do what you do with great quality. Plus, the waiter was very understanding when I made some substitutions to make my brunch a little healthier. My only qualm that stole a star is that through sitting there for a long time(meeting) we only got one water refill, even though we were outside on an exceptionally hot day. That, and I paid to have avocado added to my eggs and got about a tablespoon. Didn’t seem worth it :/ Other than that, loved the place and would definitely return.

Awesome place for brunch. It seems there is a wait no matter where you go for brunch, so why not go to Russell’s where they will give you a complementary mimosa and coffee while you wait. Great food, great ambiance, reasonably priced. Let’s go Brunching!

My friends suggested me to take my grandfather here and I did.. The indoor seatings are pretty limited(5 – 6 tables) and its cozy quite and dark. There is also a patio and its a bit bigger they also have the heater so it’s pretty nice! The pastries selection was pretty empty by the time I got there which was a thursday 6pm, it doesn’t seem as appetizing cause it makes ppl feel like those been there for a while. The waiters are very nice! They asked as what to drink and suggested some drinks that are more suitable for elders. My grandpa ordered pecan crusted tilapia and I ordered the stuffed mushroom. Both entrée came with crab macaroni and cheeae and garlic fries. I highly suggest the crab macaroni, the macaroni was not soggy or fake cheesy, instead you could taste the crab and tender pasta! I’d say meh for the fries, greasy, with only a few strings of parmenson cheese on the top which was melted into tiny chunks. I just didn’t find that super tasty The entrée itself was not so good either, the mushroom was so burnt that you could taste a piece of burnt paper. And cheese on the top was very plastic like. The entrees are ranged from 12 – 20 dollars so it’s not too expensive. The atmosphere is great for coffee and chit chat. Quite a few drink selection(coffee, soda, wine)

Two words: GREATBRUNCH! We called in advance and put our name on the waitlist because they don’t do reservations. The wait on a Sunday is around 30 – 40 minutes. There’s a beautiful outdoor patio seating area or indoor. **You get a free Mimosa while waiting for you table. So call in to be put on the waitlist, show up before and grab a mimosa, then you’ll be seated in no time!** The surf and turf eggs benedicts were delicious!!! it comes with fruit and potatoes. It is a crab cake and fillet mignon eggs benefict. You can change it to smoked salmon if you want. Between 4 people we shared the crème brûlée french toast. Literally. I would come back just to get that for dessert. it was delicious. Good way to end a meal. I loved the brunch here! The quality of food was great for the price, and we left full, satisfied, and happy starting our Sunday afternoon off right.
