We paid the full fee upfront for this attorney to handle a case for a family member. After realizing he did little or no work on the case, we secured another (very prominent) attorney & told him we were releasing him from the case. He then offered to continue working on it ‘for free,’ so he could work with the other attorney.
He never again showed up in court, filed no documents and didn’t represent the case or do one bit of other work. I contacted him afterward and requested the reminder of the $ 5,000 fee (by my count, he probably spent a total of, max, three hours on the case). He snarled at me on the phone and said my request was, «A bunch of s**t.»
Don’t use him.

It’s tough to make a great choice when you are in the middle of a crisis, but choosing Wade was the best decision I ever made. I had a tough case and he was fair, persistent, extremely knowledgable, and calm. The years of relationships and good reputation he has developed within the legal community, combined with years of hands on experience and a keen understanding of strategy, tactics and human nature make this the best lawyer I have dealt with in Austin, hands down. I would trust him with my life, and I have never said that of anyone, except my family.
To boot, he is not exorbitantly expensive-​preferring to charge a fair price for great service.
