I called in to place a to go order — I was put on hold for 7 min and then hung up on. Then I came in and was ignored at the to go window for over 10 mins until someone finally came and got me. I usually love macaroni grill but this one doesn’t seem to have its act together as this is the second time it happened.

Ordered the lunch deal — appetizer, salad, and entrée. The entrée came out first and it was blamed on the computer system. The salad and appetizer came out 5 minutes later (but 20 minutes after we ordered) it was a weird experience and I felt like they truly didn’t care. The table next to us ordered the same lunch special and we watched all four come out in a timely manner

Joining a group for dinner last night, I approach the table some folks are sitting, some still standing. The busboy is cleaning vomit on the floor around the table. Head to the ladies room same story in there folks. Why would you seat diners at this table when most of the tables are empty? I left this mess. I will not eat in a Pig Sty.

I wouldn’t go back for the food. I had the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were very bland, had a bad color, and tasted almost undercooked. The sauce was also just very greasy and had a bad taste.
I also had the macaroni balls which were really good but the dipping sauce was questionable.

We arrived thinking we could get the whole wheat pasta and Marinara sauce like have in the past. Both are no longer available. The server was inattentive. She didn’t remove any of the used dishes and didn’t pour the olive oil onto the plate like we are used to, and brought out a bottle of Pellegrino was that was unchilled. The glasses were cold, but not cold enough, so we had to ask for ice. The food was good and the servings were ample. The server was nice, but inattentive, which was surprising because there were only about three others couple in the entire restaurant, and she was not the only server.

Came here for Mother’s Day. Tables were empty, and easy to see why. Service was poor, even with 2 servers. We had to remind them to bring bread, and certain items were forgotten when they brought our dinner out. Food was really bland, especially the Chicken Marsala. I only came here because it was easier getting a table, but next time I’ll wait somewhere else for better food and service.

To be honest this was my 4th time eating here and the reason is I just was not into all the other times. A few years back I subscribed to your email for offers and birthday promos and today I chose to have my birthday lunch there because of my FREE dessert. All I can say is that I’m glad you sent that to me… I was totally impressed with the service, food and my dessert. My coworkers really enjoyed Autum’s service. Thank you! #ReneeAndEli

Second time I’ve tried this place and was disappointed again! First of all, lunch portions are small for the price. This place needs better lunch special deals, people like a great lunch bargain! No wonder your restaurants are like ghost towns. As far as taste, not a wow-​factor! Why not try your competitors lunch deals, quality, and portions? I will not come back for try number three… I’ll be elsewhere for lunch.

Rather disappointing experience. I stopped in for lunch and ordered calamari as well as ythe Sole. Both were less than good. Calamari tasted like it was fried in old oil… Sole was also rather greasy.

Had the Pinne Rustica, very good, it was very quiet, other then our table there was another couple enjoying a early dinner, so our food was prepared very fast, the portion size was alot smaller than it used to be for 14.00 but the food was good and waiters were very polite.

This place is ran like a «B» grade place with «C» management. I have managed 2 restaurants & would’ve let some people go had I known this was how things are done. The bartender made blue cheese olives without washing her hands, after counting her entire cash drawer. That was after I was told by the manager «you’re lucky theres a sword in your olives» when I brought up the fact that the menu boasts «blue cheese olives» & mine were not. The steak that I ordered had a decent flavor but was over cooked. The veggies had crap for flavoring… I have now realized that Brinker ran companies provide marginal food and lackluster service & I will never go into a Brinker restaurant by my choice…

I’m not sure what happened, or when. Me and the smallest of our kids (4 and 5) came for dinner and were treated to «blah». Three adult menus placed on the table, no kids menus. Those had to be done under special request I suppose — the kids came in with me, so it wasn’t like this was a surprise of 2. The waitress was very interested in selling us a bottle of wine… us as in the only one in the car old enough (or big enough) to drive. Dinner options for the kids are standard and they ate it up. I had the mushroom something or other that was explained as a mushroom medley, although I’m not sure that 3 sliced white mushrooms constitutes a medley. $ 14 for a dish that had 3 sliced white mushrooms and fewer pieces of pasta.
Looking at some of the other reviews, it appears that the hotspot in this place is the bar and anywhere there are crayons and a table. Just don’t come to eat, and you’ll be fine.

Ordered the Penne Rustica, as always and my son ordered a pepperoni pizza. The place was nearly empty, just 2 other tables had people. It still somehow took almost 45 minutes to get our food.
My son enjoyed his pizza but the Penne Rustica was extremely dry and devoid of much except the penne pasta. They have resorted to using the cockroach-​sized shrimp like a Chinese Buffet. Even doing that, they still only put about 4 of them in the dish and it’s $ 14.00!
No wonder they closed down the ones in my hometown. I won’t be going back.

Bottom line: If you’re trying to eat even remotely healthy or delicious food (yes, they both can exist), this is not the place for you.
The food options here are pretty abysmal… OK food for your standard Italian pasta dishes but for the most part, I’m pretty sure I can replicate these dishes at home and in a much healthier fashion. Even their balsamic vinaigrette was more of a syrup than a dressing. I figured at the very least they’d make a mean tiramisu but no-​go. It was just as bland as their entrees. Even their bread could use some work.
All in all, wasn’t the sweet suburban eating experience I was hoping for… you’re better off checking out one of Austin’s many fine original, Italian establishments.

My husband loves this place. And our first date was here. So we come here about once every 2 months or so. I like it fine, but I really liked the newest menu they had. The tapas were good and the last 2 times we have been I had the special… one was a mushroom soup, super yummy, the bartender said it was his fave, and it did not disappoint. Last week I had some chicken special with goat cheese mashed potatoes. Very very good. Came with some sautéed veggies too that we’re wonderful. And you can’t beat the bottle of house wine they put on the table.
Service is always fine, nothing that stands out. It’s a chain, I love’em and hate’em but at least you always know what to expect.

Not a bad place to get decent Italian looking grub. Also a much nicer place to spend $ 40 on a date than hitting up chuck e cheese. Other choices are only a siri question away. «Siri the last Italian I ate gave food poisoning, find a better restaurant.» Siri: «searching for pricey Italian.»
I came here often in high school because they still served veal but nowadays that menu item was 86’d for less imaginative items. Gotta keep it fresh right? Only if your current fresh is bland and stale! And it wasn’t. Sells out to cheap dinners.
On a plus you can draw random topics of interest on the paper table cloth with the provided coloring sticks. Crayons. Good times can be had then, while you wait 40 minutes for food on a Tuesday afternoon.
This delightful restaurant in a prime location is faltering, and I’m not sure how they survive with better food competition down the road. Milano café.
