Um, every truck we were sorta interested in here happened to be closed at the time we arrived. So, I didn’t eat here but my review is for the park itself. The trailers are all shiny and new and pretty, and there’s a decent amount of seating. You got Fat Tony’s, Mighty Cone, Short Bus, Cow Tipping Creamery, a waffle place, a BBQ place, wurst tex… If you can’t find something to eat here, you’re in an indecisive loser. Joe C. couldn’t find something to eat here, but maybe that’s because we kept barking choices at him, and perhaps he was disoriented because Errol and I were singing Pork Me Tender in his ear. Yes, you can order that, too. Yeah, I name dropped. Whatever. I’m going to go everywhere in Austin with joe c and Errol and I’m gonna mention them in every review and you’re gonna damn well like it.(Amber d. Was there too and she’s super cool). So, anyway, this park is nice and I want to keep going back until I’ve tried every truck.

Nice Digs. This place has a boatload of trailers. I believe it was eleven in total. Thai food, Mighty Cone, Coffee, Ice Cream, Burgers, waffles, etc. Something for everyone. The owners of the property were around while we hung out outside, and asked for our feedback. I really love that when business owners care about and respect customers . My feedback was that it sucks to get to a lot full of trailers at lunch time or dinner time only to find everything or all but one trailer closed. I’m not sure if that even applies to them at all as this was my first visit. Nice guys, I hope this business is a success The«Eatery» was nice, good quality tables with lots of places to sit and the grounds seemed well kept. They also had an open Mic and a couple singers when we went by. I’ll be back to try some more of the trailer for sure.

Rancho Rio Eatery has set up shop as the brainchild of all things Austin, colliding together in a genius conclusion: the already-maxed-out trailer scene, planting in the animal house of West Campus, showing that Austin real estate really does know what it is doing. I cannot not think of a better use of this plot of land. Well, maybe free keg stands. To elaborate, let us just take a moment to reflect on what all can be found here: waffles and handcrafted ice cream, to serve the students with sweet teeth; Italian food, to take a far-too-cheap date; pork sandwiches, best suited for the studious individual hungry for a heavy sammich. To round out the park, sub sandwiches, Thai grub, and cones(with fried stuff) bring some flare to the party. This park packs a mean punch and a bit of clutter – in the best way possible. Parking creates a problem, but I do believe that the park targets college students who can stroll right over after their late night activities or early on the way to class. For the ones who cut class, this park provides fare all around the clock, aside from the weird time between 3AM and 7AM – but no soul can be seen in West Campus anyway.

When this new food trailer eatery popped up literally RIGHT next to my apartment complex in West Campus, I was thrilled! I CANBELAZY… ANDEATGOODFOOD! My favorite. Goodness… time to pack on a couple of pounds in the next few months. Their grand opening party will be on February 16th, but many of the trucks are already open to the public. This park boasts So-Co favorites like Short Bus Subs and Wurst Tex, soon to be joined by Mighty Cone in February, as well as other new trucks. I’m excited to try Wunder Waffle, and I’ve heard that Firefly Pie is really good too. Tried Wurst Tex and Cow Tipping Creamery today and really enjoyed my experience. Fixing to write some reviews for them, too. Looking forward to coming back here many, many times in the future!!! Website to check them out at:
