Pleasantly surprised! Great local joint with awesome service and wonderful food. Love that we took a chance and now have a new favorite tex-mex place! Thanks!

I live just up the street and have been here a bunch of times, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Food is delicious, portions are good, and the prices are great! Breakfast tacos are awesome and I’ve enjoyed every entrée I’ve tried so far. The fish tacos are my favorite, huge portions of perfectly fried fish. My only complaint would be the tortilla soup is not spicy enough. Still tasty, just not spicy enough. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.

The restaurant had good service. The food was all fresh and good tasting. I highly recommend the stuffed avocados and the margaritas were tasty as well.

I love that this place is so close to my house; easy and good takeout. I will forever crave the stuffed avocado(unfortunately you can’t find that at many places) and it is my go-to order every time. The service is great and fast and I definitely will keep returning.

Their migas taco is THEBESTTACO ever!(I order without serranos, and add avocado since I can’t do spicy) They also have… CREAMYJALAPENO!!! Chips are great If this is Ramos III, where are Ramos I and Ramos II?! Delish

We live nearby. I frequently order the chimichanga(some times I substitute queso instead of the usual red sauce) and it’s always fresh tasting and delicious. My wife is from Mexico and approves, so they are clearly doing something right. Very friendly and attentive wait staff, seem like family. I would recommend anyone on the North side to pay this above average tex-mex joint a visit.

This place is great. Love the chips and salsa and creamy jalapeño sauce. Breakfast tacos are great. Flavorful flour tortillas. Fajitas are really good. Portions are good.

Didn’t know what to expect, but hear good things. It’s an unassuming lil place but it packs a punch. We enjoyed ourselves and everything was great. WE are definitely fans and look forward to going back. Enchiladas were good. The fries were even good! Oh and you must try the deep fried avocado… it was fantastic.

Unilocalers picked another winner, everything we tried was topnotch including the service. The mixed beef and chicken Ramos fajitas had great flavor and tenderness, the charro beans were some of the best we’ve had lately, the rice was good, pico spot on, guacamole was tasty, the tortillas were very good. My wife had a trio of enchiladas, beef, chicken and cheese, and loved them, and what she couldn’t finish got snarfed up by me… she thinks of me as her personal garbage or in this case… good food disposal. The chips are good but the two sauces that came out with them were stellar, thee green sauce should be bottled and mass-marketed, put it on a cat blanket and it’d be good. We’ll definitely come back for more of these goodies.

Ordered breakfast tacos from here this morning and was very pleased. I’m pretty picky about my migas tacos and really enjoyed them. The flour tortillas are homemade and definitely made a difference. So glad I found a new place to get tacos and it’s right down the street from my apartment! I’m sure I’ll be returning in the future.

I haven’t yet had the chance to try the breakfast tacos as my morning commute is the other way but I really enjoyed the food I had here for dinner. The place is a small hole in the wall and a little dinky but it gets the job done. The waitresses were very sweet and food came pretty quickly. I had a quesadilla with fajita chicken and a mexican martini per the servers recommendation. They were both pretty good. My friend had a combo fajita so got to try the shrimp and beef as well. It was all very good. I noticed there’s a little bar further into the restaurant. I’ll definitely come back here and try some of the other dishes.

Food is decent. Chips seem store bought and salsa is good. It’s a small commercial style location, good enough to satisfy that Mexican Food urge. Nothing to write home about. Great service.

Damn I think I have just had the best Tex-Mex food of my life! F-you Baja Fresh and Chipotle! While here on my short stay in Austin, I vowed to to find the best taco place And I think I’ve found it. I ordered off the combination menu and got the chicken, beef and cheese enchiladas with rice and refried beans. They were all so good! And the portions were enough for seconds or even to share. I can’t fully describe how good everything tasted. It was like being in Mexican heaven… yep the beans were like heaven too. I’m certainly not the expert on Tex-Mex cuisine since I’m from the east coast but this place will be a frequent stop for me for sure!

First timer here. I had always seen this place driving by but I’ve lived in the neighborhood behind for roughly 7 years and never been. I was in the mood for breakfest tacos, and picked just the right spot. I ordered chorizo/egg tacos and they were delicious with the home made tortillas. The customer service was great and was welcomed since the moment i walked to the second i walked out. Will definitely be back again

The food here is a solid 4 stars, but the sweet servers and strong drinks push this up to a 5 star review. Since Ramos is only 2 miles from my house, it’s my go-to spot when I want Mexican food and margaritas NOW.(Which, to be honest, is way too often. I don’t know anyone who truly loves Mexican food *and* also happens to be skinny, myself included.) I love their flautas, and the #2 and #3 combination plates. They also have jalapeño-ranch dip,(just like Chuy’s), but you don’t have to wait an hour to be seated. Woo! They also make strong drinks, which just happen to be cheap. Also, they have all kinds of happy-hour specials from 2−6pm. This is more of a «neighborhood» type place, since it’s not on a main drag here in Austin. Lots of people have probably driven by this place and didn’t even realize it existed. However, I’m here to tell you that they do, they’ll make you a strong drink, they’ll bring you fresh flour and corn tortillas and the girls(the servers) are so adorably sweet that you just want to give them gobs of money. A word of warning — this place gets pretty busy during happy hour since it’s a small restaurant(less than 20 tables), so if you have a large party you might have to wait a little while to be seated all together. Oh, and before I forget, this place is cheap! And they have a large menu! Really, go give this place some business and feel better for it. They’re a great little neighborhood joint.

This place was awesome — one of those best kept secrets. It was our first time here as my husband wanted to try something new. The restaurant is nothing fancy but the food is incredible and you just might be awakened to new flavors in the Tex-Mex world. To begin their salsa is not your typical with a mild spicy and tang flavor. They also serve a spicy cream sauce with chips so you can enjoy them both. We ordered the queso– spicy meat, which was a meal in itself. I ordered the stuffed avacado with smoked chicken and cheese, and my husband ordered the cheese enchiladas. Both very tasty. This has become our new favorite place for Tex-Mex.

Post 5k, the husband and I needed some breakfast taos, and Ramos did not disappoint. A small, friendly place, with loads of delicious looking options. Ramos was the perfect stop this weekend. I ordered a ground beef taco and a migas taco. The migas taco was AMAZING– probably the best migas taco Ive ever had. I was told the beef taco was a picadillo, but it actually was more of a regular ground beef, veggie and cheese taco– still good– but not exactly what I expected. Happy to see a local place in the area with such good tacos!

Ramos is a nice and cosy little place if you are craving Mexican food! It is pretty authentic as well and they offer breakfast all day! I got the breakfast French toast platter because I was craving it(which you probably would not get at a Mexican restaurant), but it was really good and the chorizo was excellent! They were perfectly spiced and the pork was tender in the chorizo breakfast tacos! The tacos are also really good! I also had some of the happy hour margaritas but they were a little too strong for me! If you check in here you can get 15% off an entrée! But they only let you use one per party I think! Overall, Ramos is a great place for Mexican food and just casual brunch! :)
