FYI — It may just be me but don’t confuse this with Hey… You Gonna Eat or What?, they are not the same or owned by the same person. My friends and I all ordered the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich lunch specials which came with fries and a drink. The meal came with a small handful of fries and an even smaller amount of meat on the sandwich. The sandwich was a let down. I would not recommend this place.

Their burgers are great. The service is FANTASTIC. *MUCH* better than Mac’s. These women are grateful for your business, and I appreciate that. Mac better stop being rude to his customers or these ladies will steal every last one.

I work across the street from this place. I can tell you that there food is horrible. I have ordered a hamburger combo with fries and a drink. This whatever this is not worth 6 bucks. The hamburger itself taste like a frozen patty. The fries are okay. The other thing i ordered here were the steak tacos which were also bad. The pico de gallo they gave yoy was almost going bad and the steak had a funny taste. Of course they serve it with fries and a drink if you want.

The menu here is huge. I suspect most of the stuff they sell like cheese sticks and Falafel and so on is frozen then just deep fried. I think the problem here is that instead of trying to do one thing well they try to do every food a drunk person wondering around downtown could possibly want. With a menu this size there is no way they can be making everything fresh. I bet if they would ditch their attempt at having food from every culture they can possibly imagine and just focus on doing one thing well these guys would do much better. They certainly have a great location. I got a cheese steak and they were out of buns so they offered to put it on a hamburger bun and make it good. They did put it on a hamburger bun but the cheese steak tasted like a cheap microwaved sandwich from the local 7⁄11. I do appreciate them saying they would make it good since they were out of Philly buns. I just wish they could have followed through. I wont be back to try any of the other stuff on the overly sized menu and I dont have anything else to say about this place. P.S… I almost forgot. my crappy cheese steak and a bottle of water cost over 9 bucks…

The first time I tried this food truck was the 2nd day of ACL& I devoured this burger within a minute– it was the most delicious thing I ever tasted! It was just so fresh tasting. I even woke up the next day and one of the 2 things I remembered from the day before were Eminem’s stellar performance, & this burger ending my night. Considering I had been a little less then sober, I decided to go back for this burger the last day of ACL. And nope– it wasn’t just because I was intoxicated the day before from ACL, the burger ACTUALLY was delicious! The people working were very nice and extremely friendly before and after placing my order– & I also loved that all for under 10 $ you can get a drink, side, AND the burger. The fresh patty of the grill, the lettuce was fresh & crisp, & even for someone who hates tomatoes, it was a perfectly balanced burger & I didn’t mind the tomato at all! The cheese was perfectly melting more and more onto the patty with each bite of the burger & all in all– it’s probably one of the best-fresh burgers I’ve ever had, & reminds me of camping! I definitely will be back often to enjoy the weather or even just to enjoy an amazing, affordable bite to eat.

After a long day at ACL, it would take a lot to disappoint us. Twenty dollars and two unsatisfied costumers later, the R U Hungry food truck managed to do just that — disappoint us. Don’t waste your money here.

I had high hopes for this location and I do see that are always trying to improve, but I don’t know if I’ll be back. The Falafel Plate was a little disappointing but it was their 3rd day open, so I gave them a break. On another occasion I was ordering a Gyro and talking to one of the employees and he was bragging about how fresh their burger meat was while I watched the cook pull my frozen solid Gyro meat sticks out of the freezer and put it right on the flat top. Then I tried the Mozzarella Sticks, which were just 5 small frozen from-a-bag sticks, which is totally fine with me, but there was no marinara just runny ranch dressing. Um, no. Maybe I’m just ordering the wrong things and I should try the wings or the Polish. I have a late lunch and by the time I get there the staff just seems like I’m kinda annoying them. They have all been very nice, but you can just feel the eye-roll when I walk up. You might consider greeting customers as they walk up instead of ignoring them until you leave the picnic table and go back in the trailer. I totally understand why you would want to be out of the trailer sitting comfortably in the shade, but please say«Hi» before you go in, maybe? I’ll probably be back at least once.

I’ve been there 4 times for the burger, gyro, Polish sausage, and Philly cheesesteak for lunch. Each time was a hit. Fresh and made to order. Toss in a free soda and fries and you got yourself a pretty tasty deal.

I’m so happy we go a new food trailer across the street from my job. First time I went I ordered some wings, now these aren’t no ordinary wings there huge! For the amount you get I don’t mind paying $ 7.50 these, and the wings were pretty darn tasty! I went back a second time and got a Gyro, well I’m a Chicagoan and its going be hard to top off a real Greek Gyro. The meat was gross they didn’t even get it from the big Meat stick. I’m thinking he got it out the freezer and threw it in the microwave. Anyhow I’m going to stick to the wings they were great, and now I have my whole office going to get wings everyday. Give them a try they’re pretty good! Customer Service is Great go ahead try it out I’ll be back!

Sooooo… went back to R U Hungry today. Excitedly craving the three amigos and the fries. Should have ordered the burger :(I was the only order on deck. The only order. My order had one request: no onions. Upon arriving back at my place and opening the meal guess what… all three tacos had onions. not just some tiny, tiny chopped ones who can sorta ignore. We are talking about big slices of onions. That did make it easier for me to remove them, but after paying $ 11.20(that’s with tip) for three mini tacos and fries I’m not really in the mood to have to modify my meal. The order taker confirmed my order so I can only place the blame on the cook/owner. Also, the fries this time were the traditional seasoned fries used at other places. The fries in the original review were regular fries with seasoning added after they came out of the fryer. Both are fine in my mind. Not that excited about going back for a third try now. Maybe in several days when my heartburn has died down.

Stopped in today to try out this new Austin food truck. One word on the menu had me doing a u-turn in downtown, «falafel.» The staff was super friendly and the food was good! Give this new truck some love.
