The owner Thomas Mora is the one of the biggest crook I have ever known in my life. I took my vehicle in for an radiator he told me the part was under $ 200 and the labor will cost me $ 450. I explained too Thomas that I was going to have another company which is Henna Chev come get the vehicle he became very direspectful and told me that he has an family of eight kids to feed. Thomas told me that he was charging me for storage fees and labor at $ 95 an hour for the five hours that he had supposely had been working on my vehicle. Thomas also told me that for my front end fender that just to pull the dent out and paint it I was looking at $ 845. Then the owner told me that he will charge everything to my insurance company and I will not have to pay anything out of pocket. The told me that I he was charging me for broken down the vehicle which I never gaven him premission to take the radiator out. Then he had the nerves to tell me that I was taking away the business for the hispanics and blacks and given the white man all the business. HORRIBLE BUSINESS TOO DEAL WITH. Honestly if I could rate this company I would rate it as a –10.

This business is run by a crooked businessman named Thomas Mora. Last year, days before I was going to graduate from UT, my transmission gave out on my way home from a final. I had to drive to Houston that weekend and was leaving the city to start a new job in about a month, and had no money to buy another car until I’d been in the job for a few months.
I called around several places and all of them refused to check out the car because they said the transmission was probably dead, and that the cost to repair it would be more than the value of the car (which was 13 years old). This was the one place that said they would look at it. I was praying that it could be repaired on the cheap, and relieved to hear some place would look at it, but perhaps this was my first bad sign.
Mr. Mora told me he would do a diagnostic for $ 70. The place looked very shady, but I dropped it off, and when I called back the next day he said the transmission was shot, and it would be $ 1200 to repair. I told him no thanks, and he said I could pick up tomorrow (Saturday) morning — which was when I was planning to drive to Houston (in a relative’s car) for an event I had to be at by late morning.
So I arrived right when Pronto opened. There were lots of shop workers around, but the owner was nowhere to be seen. None of them spoke English, but I speak Spanish, and asked if I could pay for my car and leave (not only did they have the key, but it was behind a locked gate blocked by a tow truck). None of them seemed to know what was going on and they said only the owner could do a checkout. So I stood around for 30 or 45 minutes, calling the owner several times myself, and explaining that I needed my car.
When Mr. Mora finally showed, he told me the charge would be $ 220. This was all for a diagnostic, mind you, and when I asked him why the huge difference, the only specific thing he cited was that he had had to replace the transmission fluid. That, of course, should only cost about $ 15. But at this point my alarms were up and I was desperate to get the car back before I disappeared for several days. So I paid up.
I moved from the city just a few weeks later, or else I’d have pursued this. These people are indisputably dishonest businessmen, and in my opinion crooks. Patronize this place at your own risk.
