One star is way too much for the customer service that the old woman at this stand offers. On two different occasions she was impatient and rude when asked and answering that she didn’t have more than half the items listed. I never returned to Piedras Negras Coahuila due to a bad experience, I won’t ever stop at … De noche as well.

Amazing barbacoa quesadilla. I come here at least three times I visit Austin every year. And cheap! Highly recommend.

I no longer go here. They have significantly dropped in quality since SXSW2011 and have raised their prices as well. I now frequent Tacos Veracruz.

Barbacoa taco was awesome, salsa was tasty. My only complaint is they were out of most things, including the al pastor, which I wanted to try. given the strength of the barbacoa, I’ll go back and give it another go.

This place was DISGUSTING! Don’t ever go unless you want to get sick. Reviews say they are the best mexican gorditas and tacos, but I’m from Mexico and I have NEVER been served a quesadilla with yellow cheese, lettuce, and tomato. There are better taco stands out there.

The gordita is about 2 big ass meals in one. It’s on the corner of East First(not a native but I know enough to know) and Pleasant Valley. $ 7 dollars for a meal with plenty of leftovers(I was starving last night actually, so I ate, I mean devoured the entire thing) and a Mexican Coca sounds like a damn good deal to me. You must douse your gordita in hot sauce and limon(That’s what she said. Really, she did. Pun intended.) to really experience the gordita’s potential. Overall? I’m sold.

This is still the best taco in town. It’s also home of the best gordita, and if you’re feeling boring, the best quesadilla. Seriously, folks. Don’t bother going anyplace else. This is the real deal.

Eat here on Saturday. . had two tacos with green sauce. .. . Carnitas and Picadio. Best tacos in Austin for about 4 bucks.

My favorite taco stand. Great tacos… served quickly and open up to 3AM. You can’t go wrong. Plus they at $ 2.00 apiece… a huge bargain. If you like a spicy burn, ask for the green sauce and use it sparingly — it packs a bite. As authentic as you can get.

After returning from a trip in Mexico, I wanted nothing more than a real taco. No crunchy taco shells, no ground beef, no Tex-Mex! I have eaten at this place many many many times after leaving downtown late at night or to grab a quick bite to eat for lunch. I have NEVER been let down at this taco stand. Get the barbacoa tacos with the delicious salsa verde(I think they use avocados in it). It’s their best taco but not the only good one. They make great pastor and carbon as well, and also chicharron when they have it. A definite must-try taco stand in central-east Austin!

I took 3 adult women to this taco truck at 2am. The food was pass-able, n I must warn you DONOT eat on their grounds. I think they must not realize that they have 2 benches out next to their truck or something. .. there was, what seemed like the stench of rotted meat emanating from their waste bin! :(gross! I had a quesadilla and 2 others had meat tacos. They were all okay. as they say, nothing to write home about. unless you live in a cardboard box. I think they are open till 3am.
