Non service today. Unfortunately, we walked in and was ignored for over 5 minutes while the staff was too busy playing on their phones. Walked out. They get a pity 2-star for previously being good.

I started coming here in 2010. I used to live North Austin, so initially it was close and easy. The food is delicious and fast. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is fine… no frills. There are a lot of Vietnamese patrons if that tells you anything. I absolutely love their phở, vermicelli bowl, banh mi, chicken fried rice, avocado smoothie, and spring rolls. Much of this food is pretty authentic to what you would get in Vietnam(and yes I’ve been, which is why I say this). I’ve never been disappointed going here. Now I love South Austin I still come up here from time to time. And, now they take credit card, so that’s great!

I love, love, love this place. Best Vietnamese anywhere in Austin. I have been eating here and Burnet location for over 10 years. Used to eat it 4 tines a week. I get either the #16 Phở or the #32 vermicelli(but without noodles). Quality is always good, food fresh, service is blazing fast even when crowded. When the hurricane hit Houston several years ago I noticed the Burnet location full of Vietnamese from Houston. Thats a great sign! I only wish they had Bahn Mi sandwiches. Oh well, can’t have everything in one place. Check it out!

Phở broth was ok, meat was thick & chewy & scarce(only 4 pieces), place was packed, service slow & grumpy. It made me really want a better bowl of phở!

My husband and I have been here twice so far. Both times it was delish. We always get the phở tai(flank and brisket). Vey good. We always share a large portion since it’s a lot They are very friendly and quick to take your orders. The food comes out very quick as well! We just found out they deliver which is nice because it’s always our comfort food for when we aren’t feeling well. Although going there to eat is always a great experience. Give it a try :)

Very near my job, go to healthy lunch spot. #37 Charbroiled chicken, vermicilli and eggroll, or I get #22 phở. Thai tea mmmhhmm. Also gotta have the pork spring rolls. Prices are good for portion you get. The décor is meh, the staff isnt too friendly. They did recently start accepting plastic for payment. Food is very fast whether dining in or taking out. Always check your receipt as well, sometimes they will try and charge extra for stuff you didnt order.

Update 11÷26÷14 — you can now pay with your PLASTICORCASH. the ATM is still on site. Credit Cards welcome now… Today I ordered the #200, Pork and Shrimp Noodle Soup. it was good, not as tasty as the Phở(IMO) and the noodles were stuck together as if they were dropped in one clump; so i needed to pull them apart and they were not freely moving. Additionally, they were firm. so either they were not cooked fully before being put in broth or they were just not good noodles. The meal wasn’t bad this time around, but I would rather trust the Phở and its beefy flavors next time and hopefully they won’t have that noodle issue again. I will keep it at 4-stars for this time.

I can’t say enough good things about Phở Hoang. Excellent food fast and cheap. Love you long time!
