Horrible experience! Stay away.
Issue #1 I went in for a consult for tattoo removal. The young woman assumed I was there to start treatment immediately and when I told her I had shingles, she had never heard of it before, didn’t understand, and again asked to treat me right then. What?! I called and talked to the manager and she assured me I could have someone else more experienced treat me and start when ready, but won’t speak about how experienced anyone was except to say that staff was licensed by the state.
Issue #2 I was told that the first couple treatments I would see the biggest difference in fading. Wrong. I understand results can vary, but after 2 treatments there was no difference.
Issue #3 severe scarring. Scarring is a possible side effect, but I only had two treatments and have severe scarring. I researched online and called other businesses and found out that although scarring is possible, with new lasers it is not common, but depends on the laser and how aggressive the treatment is. Not an expert here, but my understanding is that they were too aggressive with the laser setting which was the main problem.
Issue #4 Loss of credibility– I called to discuss treatment because no fading after two treatments. Now they contradicted what they told me before, saying I could do numerous treatments before seeing little to any results and then see a big difference later.
Issue #5 I called to talk with the manager because I no longer trust a business that is eager to ask for business repeatedly, lacks knowledge/​experience to understand what shingles are, continues to ask me to come back again when I have concerns about scarring and more treatments making it worst, and gives contradicting information. I am so turned off by this business, that I ask for a refund of my remaining credit –almost $ 300. (I had pre-​paid to take advance of a special.) The manager offers to treat me herself (again asking for the business, but not reassuring me about better results or the scarring issue) or said I could use my credit towards another service. I said I didn’t feel comfortable returning at this point and wanted a refund.
Issue #6 She talked with the business owner, and then called me back. They refused to issue a refund, but were happy to again ask for my business even after I said I didn’t feel comfortable returning or trust their services. Why would you continue to ask for someone’s business repeatedly when they don’t trust your services?!
My advice– do your research and find a credibility, professional, knowledgeable, experienced business for tattoo removal.

This business owes me $ 100 from an incorrect charge on my credit card. I paid with a $ 200 gift card that is missing from my file. This charge happened in March and this is the 2^nd time this has happened. They were trying to tell me that what I thought was a charge was a credit. I was told that there is nothing they can do and it must be an error with my bank (USAA which is a great bank that I trust). I called my bank and they stated that there is a charge from Paradise for $ 100, no credit.

Love the staff here, everyone is very friendly and professional. They are great with explaining exactally what will be done during each procedure (I have only done laser hair removal and fat wrap). The office is clean, cute, and well run. I have had to reschedule my appointments a few times and it was easy to do and I didnt feel like they hated me… lol. My boyfriend is getting laser hair removal too and I would recommend this place to anyone.

I purchased a laser tattoo removal groupon (a series of laser treatments for one small tattoo) and scheduled an appointment. When I showed up, I was informed that the Physician was not there and that they «meant» to call me to cancel my appointment. Did I mention that I had to arrange childcare and drive 45 minutes out of my way to get there in the first place? I was pretty pissed.
Once I got over myself, I called to schedule another appointment. This time, I was called the day before and was told that yet again, they needed to reschedule. I scheduled yet again.
When I did go in, I was not particularly impressed nor unimpressed. The staff was kind, if not a little rushed, even though there were no other clients there. The laser treatment was not super effective, but I was not expecting my tattoo to be completely erased in one trip.
I scheduled my next appointment a few months later. 20 minutes before my appointment, I was called and told that they needed to cancel. You can guess what my response was.
4 appointments scheduled, 2 rounds of childcare arranged and lots of driving all around Austin… and 1 successful appointment. Needless to say, I still have my tattoo and will not be back to Paradise Wellness MedSpa.

I would give it zero stars if that was an option. I had a groupon for 6 contour laser sessions. The tech who performed the procedure was very unprofessional. First the time she gave as an appointment was never honored. I always had to wait an extra 15 – 30 minutes. She even wanted me to come in and get my procedure while another person was in the same room on the vibration machine. I had my last appointment today and she was running behind as usual even though she asked me to come in early. Always an excuse for the inconvenience. The schedule is down, the owner of the salon came in late, it is never my fault. Don’t even bother with this spa. I tried to call to complain and the person who answered said there wasn’t anyone to complain to. Maybe I should just call the Health Department. Going here is like going to someone’s basement for a «spa» day.

Ok… Purchased a tattoo removal groupon. Great results… on my third session and it’s almost gone. Kind staff and very convenient location. I was a bit worried considering the other reviews. They must work for the competition… Lol

I felt uncomfortable at this Spa from the get go. The laser hair removal technicians were literally «still in high school» teenagers. Only after I found a more professional spa to continue my treatments, did I realize how bad this place was.
I was given no information about how to prepare for my visit — which is critical for effective treatment. The spa refused to schedule my appointments in advance and insisted that they would «call me» in time to set up the next treatment. No, this did not happen. I only learned how completely critical the timing of these recurring treatments are when I found a better treatment provider. This spa really seems to be in the business of setting up other spa businesses. Trust me, you’ll get to over hear their business planning sales calls many times while you languish in your folding metal chair waiting for you rappointment. Run, don’t walk!

Wow. Not even worth my time to type this out but I want to save everyone else from just tossing money out the window. For those of you who have had microdermabrasion before, you know that it’s a treat. This was the exact opposite. The actual procedure was less than 5 minutes. No joke. I was told to wash my own face, standing up, without a mirror, with the door open??? Then asked to lay down on an uncomfortable bed, then she «microdermed» my face for literally a few minutes. Then was told to get up and wash my face again. And that was the end of it. I know they do some other treatments there and I couldn’t imagine someone going twice. Absolute fail. I want my money back :-(

I had a really terrible experience with these guys. I signed up for their contest at the Austin Bridal Extravaganza on a whim, not expecting anything at all. However, a couple weeks later I got an email from someone at their office stating I had won a free laser hair removal session.
The email itself wasn’t especially professional and the spelling was bad, but I blew it off because I was excited. When I pressed for details, the person responded with very little information and said just to come in «whenever.» When I finally emailed them the time I wanted to come by no one responded. The day of my requested appointment rolls around and I email them for confirmation. They choose THEN to inform me that their laser «is out of the office for repairs» and they will contact me to reschedule as soon as possible. Would have been nice to know sooner!
Not to mention, they NEVER contacted me to reschedule and when I finally broke down and emailed them 2 months later they said «I’m sorry. When would you like to come in?» No signature, no further details, no explanation, nothing. Screw this, my treatment would have been FREE and just my communication with them makes me NOT want to take advantage of it. Look elsewhere for professionalism!

Really reasonable prices! The service was good and the staff was very friendly. The place is super clean and nice! I got the laser hair removal on my legs and it was pain free, fast, and easy. Seems like they have the newest machines and technologies. Will recommend to my friends for sure!

I have done 5 treatments on the Zerona Lipo Laser and I have lost ⁶¹⁄₂ inches around my waist and hips. The results are amazing and I’m wearing clothes I have not worn in years! Thank You Paradise Med Spa!
