Papa John’s Pizza

I stay with the 4 star because it is our go to neighborhood pizza. Really could be 5star for the price but it’s not 5 star food. It is consistent, fresh veggies, great crust and sauce. No complaint. For cheap pizza there is nowhere better in this neighborhood. As I type I decide it is 5 star, after all it is cheap pizza in a rough neighborhood!

Trying to be gracious here. Visiting from out of town. Ordered pizza for delivery. Usually get email notification that order received and he progress. Nothing here. We had to call to see if they got our order because it was taking some time. Upon delivery it was noted that the cinnamon knots hard leaked onto he pizza box. Oh well. Stuff happens. Still, when we opened pizza box there was no delicious garlic butter. What a drag! I have since been told that the butter doesn’t come with thin crust pizza. Who knew? But more importantly, WHY NOT? ;). Also noted that the typically thin crispy crust… was not. Another bummer. The cinnamon knots were ok but nothing to write home about. Oh well. The delivery girl was friendly so that is a positive.

I always order from this location and have not had a bad experience yet. They always get my order correct and have it delivered in a timely manner. The delivery drivers are friendly and always seem to appreciate the tip no matter how much it is. My pizza comes and has been hot and fresh each time. I worked fast food for many years here in Austin and i know how hard it can be to get good help so kudos to the manager of this rough location. I am very impressed with your staff and thankful for being able to get what i ordered in a fast and friendly way.

Tonight this place just got it so right. XL pepperoni pizza, brownies, and a two liter of pepsi. Got it delivered in about 30 minutes. Hot, fresh, and yummy!
I always appreciate their clean, well groomed; polite delivery people. This gives me faith that the kitchen staff are also clean and well groomed. Nothing spoils a delivery of food faster then a whiff of b.o. or pot (especially since I have a young child). Thanks Papa’s for getting this right. :)

I always order from here on my way home from work and pick it up. The strange thing about this Papa John’s is that even though it’s on Rutland, once you walk in, you don’t feel like you’re on Rutland anymore. Five stars just for that!
So, I’m driving home today, and I decide to call and order a large chicken and mushroom pizza (yes, I know, and I eat it all by myself too!). It’s better than it sounds and they have a special going one right now. Their chicken looks almost like the kind you’d find at an actual restaurant, nice big pieces, not all cubed like a Lunchable, and their mushrooms are really great too. You can tell that they don’t come from a can.
I talk to a girl on the phone, she takes my order, super nice (as always) and we hang up. I decide about five minutes later that I want an order of bread sticks too. I call back «Sure! Not a problem! We’ll have that ready for you,» I ask them how long «Ten to fifteen minutes,» Wait… that was how long the wait time was to start with… If this had been Ghatti’s, there would have been attitude and an EXTRA 10 – 15 minutes before my food was ready.
Now, I know that their food isn’t frozen, I’ve watched them make bread sticks time and time again. I’m skeptical at this point. They’re not going to have my food ready!
When I get to the store, there are a few people in front of me, yet someone still had the courtesy to say «Welcome to Papa John’s! Someone will be with you in just a moment!» as they always do. I like to be acknowledged. I think it’s a very important part of good customer service.
As always, the people working looked like they were having a good time. That always startles me when I come here, yet I love, love, LOVE to see people that are having a good time at work. There was even some guy singing. I didn’t see him, I only heard him. Even though everyone looked happy, you could still tell that they were busting their butts!
After the people in front of me were done ordering and picking up their food, I told them I had a pick-​up and gave them my name. The lady at the register walked over to the oven rack and brought me my order. She even opened the boxes and I was so happy to see hot steam coming from both my bread sticks (which they still managed to have ready like they said they would!!) and my pizza! Fresh food!
I’m always so impressed with Papa John’s, especially this location. It’s sad, really, that a pizza-​chain can deliver fresh food, and outstanding customer service, all at a reasonable prize, and most sit-​down restaurants can’t manage to do the same.

It’s chain pizza. Sometimes you just want chain, cardboard-​y goodness. These folks brought to my door a large supreme pizza minus the stuff we didn’t want, plus they had a deal for a one topping for 1 dollar. Scorage! It was hot, fresh, yummy because we were craving it, and didn’t take very long.
Can’t expect much more, I suppose.
