My mother has been a member for over 2 years in the coppell branch, which is phenomenal, but she called in to the Avery ranch branch to book a time while she was visiting Austin. She informed the gentleman on the phone she was out of town and he said the class was full and he would call her if anything opened up. By the time she hung up, I had booked a spot online for the same time that the gentleman said was booked. We didn’t book online before due to password issues at first. Not only did she not receive a call, but the class had at least 3 open spots. When she arrived they wanted to charge her for the heart rate monitor that she did not have with her. I booked a spot online almost right after my mother was told the class was full. The membership includes anywhere in the US, but there still seems to be a disconnect with some locations.

The entire staff at Orangetheory @ Avery Ranch are amazing. Special Kudos to Zach at the front who never misses the opportunity to welcome everyone that walks in through the doors by name and a friendly hello. Each and every trainer I have had the pleasure of working with has been extremely enthusiastic and pumped to be there, getting us all on their same energy level. Additionally, they are tuned in to each class participant,(I’m always the oldest), and provide alternatives for any excercise that is needed. Certainly anyone who works out hard will have results. BUT. working out hard at Orangetheory with this particular group of trainers brings 100 times the incentive, pleasure, and rewards. Thanks Abel, Tyler, Sarah, Renee, Caleb, and the rest!

I hate working out. It’s boring, I’ll find any excuse not to do it, and I usually give up on whatever I’m trying to do. Then I tried OTF. Every day is a different workout. You can see exactly how hard you’re working so you make the most of your workout. The environment is fun and encouraging. The exercises include things you’ve never heard of and things you think you could never do – so it’s challenging but I’ve surprised myself! The main thing is, it’s tough to get bored. I actually look forward to class. You have to book classes in advance and must pay a fee if you don’t show up – for me the accountability really works. Everyone who works there really works to learn your name and everyone is helpful, not judgmental. It’s hard but addictive. I’ve been going six weeks and absolutely hate when I have to miss a few days. My energy is super high and there’s nothing like the feeling of knowing you’re taking care of yourself while having fun. I also like that it’s a tight 55 minutes and super efficient workout. It’s an hour just for me. I’ve gone for six weeks now and did the weight loss challenge. My body has definitely changed. I’ve lost 3″ off my waist and a few more inches elsewhere while building muscle and pushing my body and heart rate to the limit. My doctor said I had to lose weight to avoid heart disease and I never thought I could do it til I tried OTF.

Can’t tell you just how much I enjoy coming to OTF Avery Ranch. My first(and favorite) trainer/coach was Troy. He has the energy and drive of 10 men. He’s extremely encouraging to all attendees even us older folks(if you consider 56 old) and pushes us farther past than I would have done on my own. While I am currently only signed up for basic membership I expect to go to unlimited in the next month or so. Thanks also to Tatum and all others that have helped me in my first and subsequent classes. They are just as valuable to me as the coaches! Go Orange!!!
