Old Stage Park – Anderson Mill Limited District

This is an adequately sized residential neighborhood little park (half a block size) with a playground for the kiddos, up kept tennis court, basketball court, small fenced off leash doggy bark park with a water fountain and a little trail that circumferences the whole park.
The park has guidelines enforced by Austin Mill limited district. For instance, if you want to utilize the bark park, plan on getting ahold of parks and recreation to sign your dog up under the circumstances that your furry buddy has all vaccinations and is over 4 months old. The fee is $ 25 for residents and $ 35 for non-​residents.
I’m giving it four stars because it’s just nice to have little parks like this in residential areas instead of having to drive a distance.

Anderson Mill offers two Dog Off Leash Areas with key access that are ideal for dog socialization! Users will be required to complete a membership application and obtain a key from the AMLD Community Center. For your convenience a DOLA membership application and use policies are available on this website for downloading.
When not in the specified dog off leash area, the Austin leash ordinance requires dogs to be on a leash no longer than 6 feet on all City land. Maximum fine: $ 500
Please note: Resident Fees are applicable for only those with a primary residence within Anderson Mill. Proof of Residency is required Annually with the purchase OR renewal of a Membership Pass at the Resident Rate. Proof required is a valid Photo I.D. in addition to a current Utility Bill or other dated, legally binding document that list the Anderson Mill address.

There are Mutt Mitt boxes filled with plastic bags for picking up and disposing of pet waste in many locations throughout Anderson Mill for your convenience.

Rules and Definitions
1. Owner: any person owning, feeding, keeping, maintaining or harboring a dog or cat. Harboring shall include knowingly allowing a dog or cat to remain on the owner’s premises.
2. Running at Large: not under the direct physical control of the owner or handler by leash, cord, chain or similar direct physical control.
City Ordinance 3−3−2
Every owner of a dog and any person having charge, care, custody or control of any dog shall restrain such dog from running at large (’81 Code, 3−3−2).
Employees of the city, as designated by the City Manager, are hereby authorized and empowered to enter upon any land, premises or public place and to take up and impound any dog which is observed by such employee to be running at large.
