I didn’t take an official tour but had the opportunity to wander around the Neill-​Cochran House Museum. Ultimately, this is a beautiful home and a perfect example of 19th century Victorianism, surprisingly and unassumingly in Austin, Texas. If you like old furnishings and Victoriana, this is the place.

This Museum is definitely worth visiting. I went here with a couple of friends and none of us were disappointed. This was a first stop on a day of Museums for us.
We walked up the walkway to be greeted by a friendly volunteer. She explained the history of the house and invited us in. The furnishing were in very good shape and the the lighting and dishes were amazing. You are able to take your time and explore. For each room, they have information on the pieces in the room.
