Natural Ear Music School

5 Star… my son is being taught by the pros. The owner and founder played for Disturbed. My son plays the drums and is just learning fast with the ability to really grow with this school. They have gigs which totally makes the kiddos learn to practice and get ready for the gigs. Love it and so proud of my son. Thai place rocks and easy going group that manages it. :)

We love Natural Ear! My three daughters, ranging in age from 9 to 15, have participated in bands and taken private lessons with NEM ever since we moved to Austin two years ago. Natural Ear was our first family here and continues to be one of our favorite offerings of this wonderful city. My kids have grown as musicians and people under the phenomenal tutelage of Jacob Gonzales and the Natural Ear team. This is a great curriculum not only for for kids with with rock star ambitions but also for those who just want to explore music and have fun. As a parent, I am heartened to find a place where kids can try new things without being obligated to stick with it if it’s not a great fit. It seems we live in a culture that offers few opportunities for kids to experiment. Our increasingly competitive society puts pressure on kids at an early age to decide what they want to do and commit. Natural Ear allows kids to try out a variety of instruments and musical genres in a healthy, disciplined, fun and inspiring context.

Our kids did summer camps, semester programs, and private lessons with Natural Ear Music and loved it, all while learning a lot. In the time that they were with Natural Ear, they went from having their first opportunity playing in a band, to writing and performing original songs. And as I told the director and teachers there many times, it was as if a light in our kids got switched on after just the first full day of summer camp at Natural Ear.
