In short they lied to me. Sadly, I did not keep the original email. I was told that if I cancel mid month that I could still get a full month of service and just revert back to the free version. The sales representative said that they are not into the business of stealing money. The Mxtoolbox T&C states that if you cancel your membership that you forfeit any remaining time(think of it as stealing). They bill 10-days prior to the end of the month(or so, forget the exact number, but around there), and any cancellation in that period yields an extra month(still sounds like stealing). I subscribed to the service and attempted to write to customer service and they were rude, cold, obnoxious, and refused to acknowledge or implement the original conversation, so I was forced to forfeit a partial month. As far as their service being all inclusive, they have about 98 or so DNS black list checks, but that is not all. DNS Goodies has others that they do not have. Oh yes, I sent in am email asking to cancel. I received a ticket acknowledgement, but then nothing happened, even after a couple business days. I could go on and on about the service itself, but you get the point. The free version is okay, but even that is questionable. Anyone who has a mail server should know their own status. There is no secret to mail server security. I would not mind them contacting me back and offering my money back, but companies that steal have no intention of giving it back. Caveat: Legally, they did not do anything wrong or different than what was spelled out in their T&C. They did do something wrong with respect to what I was told via email. This company is not customer focused, just their own pocket book. I call it like I see it. They stole, plain and simple, but my definition.
