More Than a Teacher

back 3 years ago in high school, my darling daughter had her heart set on attending a highly regarded, competitive university. she is a good student, but gets stressed out about standardized tests. this particular school was a bit of a stretch — but she loved it and knew she belonged there. so she needed to get her SAT scores up a bit in order to have a real chance.
after attending the MTAT course for SAT prep, she took the SAT again. her scores increased by 300 pts! we’re convinced that this was the tipping point that got her in to her first choice college, and got her a nice scholarship from them as well.
the more than a teacher guys know what they’re talking about. they know that it’s not only what you know but also how you approach and work through the test. they pass this knowledge on to your kid and empower them to kick some ass.
my kiddo kicked ass. she’ll be graduating with honors from her first (and only) choice college next year.
