I was disappointed. The selection seemed somewhat limited and they did not have the purse I wanted in the color I wanted. I ended up purchasing from a dept. store that had what I was looking for. Oh, and it took some time for me to get someone over to help me. Not cool.

Since when is there a Michael Kors store in Barton Creek Square Mall? Since December, apparently, but somehow I just now noticed today. Roughly the size of its sister store in The Domain, you are sure to find the right bag, wallet, or pair of shoes if Michael Kors is one of your favorite designers. I’ve always been a fan, but even more so now after ten seasons of delicious«Project Runway» snark. I think people ought to reward him by shopping here, just for the catty runway comments alone.(Incidentally, there’s a tumblr blog devoted solely to his quips, if you are so inclined). As mentioned before, the majority of the store is stocked with accessories, from gargantuan handbags down to MK iPhone covers. There is a limited selection of ready-to-wear(I particularly liked a faux-coyote fur collared jacket), but alas, it is meant solely for the women. Truthfully though, the main focus of this boutique is on bags and shoes. Just when I thought there was absolutely nothing for the boys, I found their watch cabinets. I had just seen a display of Michael Kors watches at Nordstrom, and one style in particular – the rose gold with the black rubber band – caught my eye. I asked to try it on, and I thought it would go with a few select outfits. It’s inexpensive at $ 195, so I’d consider wearing it if I want to go one step above my knock-about watch, but not quite in the mood to slip on the Gucci or Tag. I’m still considering it. Ask for Liz. She’s very friendly, and very knowledgeable about the product line. She also clued me in to when I might expect a sale. If the watches do go on sale, I could probably pick up more than one. So that’s always helpful to know. The service was A+. Plus, I don’t know if she meant it or not, but she complimented my new boots. Part of me is wary it may have been a sales clerk ploy, but other people in my life less invested in selling me something have complimented them, too, so I’d like to think that she genuinely meant it. Either way, I may come across as a vain narcissist, but, I’m aware of that. And I own it. Anywhoozlebees…4 Stars for Michael Kors.
