Fantastic diagnostician, personable, takes extensive time to thoroughly understand patient and needs, shows that he truly cares, promptly calls in prescriptions and orders necessary tests. Yes – you’ll wait an hour or so to see him, but that’s because he takes time with his patients to thoroughly meet their needs.

It’s been more than a year since my one visit with Dr. Meyerson. The visit is hard to forget, no matter how much I try to. I was in severe pain, scared, trying not to miss any time from my new job and trying to avoid a trip to the ER. I could barely think straight. When Dr. Meyerson blew me off, I told him something was very wrong. I didn’t think I could drive home. Dr. Meyerson told me I needed to go to Shoal Creek(psychiatric hospital.) I asked if he thought it was all in my head. «That’s not what I’m saying,» was his response. Every time I tried to figure out why, he’s say, «that’s not what I’m saying.» I thought I was having a psychotic break. My Mom came to pick me up and take me to Shoal Creek. She asked him why I should go to Shoal Creek. He said it was because I said I couldn’t drive. After some more discussion he told us to hurry up because they needed the room. We went to the ER after that. By that point I couldn’t even move my head. I was diagnosed wth a pinched nerve, and they assured me there was no reason to go to Shoal Creek. Let’s review: 1. Being scared and unable to drive is a good reason to go to a psychiatric hospital. 2. Repeatedly says«That’s not what I’m saying,» but never says what he actually means. 3.Needs you to hurry up and give them the room back. 4. Completely misses the disgnosis.

I went to see Doctor Meyerson today for the first time having switched from my previous primary care physician. He is part of the Austin Regional Clinic off of Far West Blvd. There are many reasons why Dr. Meyerson and ARC are rated so highly in this review, so let me list them. First ARC 1) They have offices all over Austin 2) They have a very user-friendly web-site 3) Appointments can be made online, including first time patients 4) Required forms are available online 5) They have evening and weekend hours 6) They process you quickly when you arrive and leave Now Dr. Meyerson 1) He is very personable 2) He seems genuinely interested in your health and wellness 3) He asks a lot of questions aimed at understanding your general health 4) He gives thorough examinations 5) He is not in a hurry to leave and dash off to the next patient 6) He takes his time with you 7) He lets you know up front that he will run long later in the day and that you can call to see how late he is so you can hold off a bit before coming in 8) He runs late because of all the personal time he spends with each patient 9) He calls in your prescriptions personally 10) Has plenty of recommendations for your health care needs within ARC Like a good mechanic, Dr. Meyerson is a keeper. I switched from another doctor that I swore by until he eventually seemed to not care. Maybe he just burned out. In any event Dr. Meyerson is the real deal for a family practitioner. He’s aces.
