Ok, so after talking to Corporate they issued me a store credit. My wife and I went to the same store we bought it from and the staff was completely different very courteous and professional. They did everything they could to make our experience better than it was before. Had a little computer trouble but everything else went great. They will deliver the new mattress tomorrow. Have you ever seen The Little Mermaid?
For the purpose of this review, let’s go ahead and say you have. (And if you haven’t — shame on you. Its like, the best movie ever and Ariel is totally the best Disney Princess. No debate necessary.)
So, in the movie, Ariel is totally crushing on Prince Eric and after watching him longingly as he plays on the sea shore with his trusty dog, Max, she walks back into her room, entranced with adoration and love.
Completely content, she hops into bed.
Scratch that.
She SINKS into her bed.
It engulfs her. I’ve never seen someone look so comfortable.
Ever.
She is in love, y’all. And her bed is the comfiest. Romantically luxurious.
So, seeing as though she is content in love and comfort, I knew that’s the kind of bed I was on the lookout for.
A MERMAID BED!
Mattress Firm is like the Starbucks of the bedding realm — there’s one on every corner, so I knew I’d be comfortable exploring this place. The company has to be doing SOMETHING right.
There are definitely a lot more mattress stores out there than I ever realized, but after doing some intense research between Mattress Firm, major department stores and local competitors, I also saw Mattress Firm is continuously named one of the top businesses to work for and can beat any competitive pricing. Knowing that, I knew the employees would be happy and well taken care of, which in turn, would indicate they’d make sure their customers are well taken care of, too.
I was right. Andrew and Barrett at the Bee Caves location next to the World Market are the jam.
I had no idea what I was looking for. And how was any self-​respecting woman going to walk into a mattress store, full of plushy rectangles, and describe to the employees that I was looking for a bed fit for a mermaid?
Regardless, I told Andrew I was looking for something soft and I blushed at the adjective, squishy, but he knew exactly where to direct me. He was patient and courteous. He gave me all the time in the world to try out the beds, which were sectioned by different comfort zones. Never once did I feel pressured to make a decision or go outside my budget. In fact, I got a stellar deal to boot.
I opted for a Sealy Posturepedic Majesty. See? TOTALLY a bed fit for a princess! (Disclaimer: This was purely coincidental. I did not base my decision off of the name) Though it doesn’t have the same cartoon effect of me flopping into bed with the mattress squshing around me (trust me, I’ve tried), its a comfortable bed and is exactly what I wanted. And I sleep well at night knowing I was well taken care of by an awesome crew.

Can’t say enough about Andrew (store manager). Professional, knowledgable, customer focused.
My son needed a new mattress. His last one was very uncomfortable. We came in at the end of the day, when most would be ready to get customers out and hit the road home. Andrew acted as though it was the beginning of his day and was eager to find the right solution for my son. Andrew took care of us showing clear knowledge of products and their differences. He listened to my son and directing us to the correct mattress for him.
After finding a great fit for my son, Andrew put together a package price that I could not say no to.

She is a sales manager we were lucky enough to talk to one weekend when we were interested in their YuMe Mattress (dual climate control bed).
She worked up a fabulous offer. Even without the discount, we were blown away by her professionalism and friendliness. Her customer service is something to be modeled by any professional organization.
I’ll tell you why I’m so keen on her… Another sales agent involved made an error and flubbed up the order. It started to be a bit of a mess and started to get a little tense. She came back in and resolved everything instantly with a smile. I was very impressed with the way she brought calm to the situation, found the right thing to do and executed it on the spot. Any sales person can be happy and friendly when everything is going OK, but it takes someone with great emotional intelligence and presence to make it all better.
Despite the hiccup, I highly recommend Mattress Firm and even more highly recommend seeking and working with Sarah Priolo. She is just incredible and wish she could help us with all our other purchases.
