I made an appointment for an examination for wisdom teeth extraction and they told me it would be up to a $ 75 maximum copay for the exam with my insurance. I arrived, waited a short time, had some x-​rays done, and was told to get with the office staff to schedule the surgery. First, the surgery could only be done at one single hospital location, which wasn’t covered by my insurance. Then it was impossible for the office staff to figure out how much it would cost if I paid cash. 6 months later I got new insurance that the hospital would accept, the office staff said they would look into it, and 3 emails later I still haven’t heard back. THEN I received a phone call demanding I pay my overdue bill or they would send me to collections. I had not received anything in the mail or any previous phone calls, though «they’ve been trying to contact me.» I asked what bill I had overdue since I paid the $ 75 for the exam, they said I owed $ 12. They were threatening with collections over $ 12. I asked if I paid the $ 12, would they come back a month later and say I owed more, or was this all. The lady laughed at me and said they don’t do business that way. Clearly this is exactly the way they were doing business. A year later, I still have wisdom teeth, I’m still out $ 87, and I still haven’t discovered whether the hospital takes my insurance or how much it would cost to pay cash. Wish I could say more about the doctor’s skills, but I never made it that far.

Amazing! Dr. K was awesome as was his staff. They could not get a higher recommendation. My son broke his jaw in two places and Dr. K made us and our son feel at ease and helped us through the entire process. He also did a great job of surgery and are really happy with the results.

Dr. Karakourtis and his staff were great! The surgeries were effortless on my part. I just showed up, had my teeth pulled, and went home. He makes you feel at ease and confident in his skills. Since having my two remaining wisdom teeth pulled, my mouth feels 100 times better. His staff is friendly and efficient. I couldn’t think of a single bad thing to say. Dr. Karakourtis’ practice is great.
