Fast Cold overpriced pizza OR you can wait for Warm Overpriced Pizza. Only advantage to this place in ABIA is that you get a slice of cold cardboard quickly

Great customer service and excellent food. The only place that stayed open for all the last minute delayed and cancelled flights. The only place that kept serving 24 hours when the airlines ran out of food and beverages. They offer a variety of pizza, snacks and beverages. If I ever find myself lost in the Austin airport again I will definitely be waiting for a piece of fresh pizza.

I was a little disappointed that they were out of stuffed pizza. I grabbed a slice of pepperoni pizza that was fresh out of the oven. The cheese blend and sauce were very tasty. The crust wasn’t anything special it was pretty flavorless. In comparison to other airport pizza places this place is better. They were quickly turning over pizzas so it was very fresh. Also the ingredients used were more flavorful than other airport pizza options.

You could do worse in an airport. You could do better — Salt Lick is like 15 yards away, as is Schlotzsky’s — but odds are those lines are too long and you really don’t feel like hanging out in an airport any longer than you need to, so grab a slice of pizza, stuff your pie hole and move on. Nothing wrong with it, just pretty average.

If you’re too happy and excited for your upcoming trip come to Mangia pizza to balance that out. Their pizza slices are minuscule, about half the size of the«pizza box». A kid’s slice of pizza for $ 5; enjoy, if you’re a baby. Embarrassing all around, I’m embarrassed for everyone including myself.

I had their thin crust double pepperoni. It was quite tasty for an airport location. It is much better than other airport pizza joints.

The pizza crust was a little like cardboard, but the line at Salt Lick was just too long. Damn you, Austin airport travelers for ruining my dinner plans! While my basic slice of pepperoni($ 5ish) didn’t wow me, I’ve had far worse(especially at other airports), and a shaker of crushed red pepper went a long way toward improving my pizza. Not to mention, this place has Lone Star on tap! You’ll pay almost $ 8 for it, but at least it’s a 20 ouncer. They had a few bottled beers(Shiner Bock) as well as Ziegenbock Amber on tap too. Yeah, it’s an AHB product, but I can’t get it on tap in Denver so I enjoyed the novelty and most importantly, the lack of a long line standing between me and my required post-work pre-flight alcohol. I also enjoyed being carded and not called«ma’am» as if I’m an old lady like everywhere else I go in Texas.

Easily the worst pizza I have ever experienced and way overpriced at nearly $ 5 a slice. I know it’s airport food, but upon approaching the counter, the pepperoni jalapeño pizza looked deceivingly good. It was not. The crust was bland, stale, dry and way too chewy. There was not enough sauce to make this tolerable. The cheese was gloppy. The pepperoni did not even have flavor. All that really stood out as far as flavor was the jalapenos — the slice of pizza tasted like jalapenos. The pizza was barely lukewarm which just added to my dissatisfaction. I would pass this one by for sure — there are plenty of other options in this airport.

OK, this place reminded me of why you need to keep low expectations at the airport. The items that I wanted from the menu were not available. I ended up getting pizza that was pre-made and it must have been there for a while since it was dry and totally unappetizing. My favorite item from here was… a banana. I went here because there was barely a line but it still moved super slow.

I had a slice of pep that just came out of the oven and honestly, it was really tasty. Better than anything Sbarro or similar mall/aiport-ish pizza place serve up. While tasty, it was extremely greasy and was nearly impossible to hold up, fold and eat. Instead I had to use a knife and fork and with the crappy box you get, this was difficult. Also — 11 bucks for a slice and drink. Yikes. I know airport food is usually more expensive than normal, but it’s a little crazy.

There’s nothing memorable about this pizza, but its one of the grab and go options in near the Southwest flights. With that being said, the pizza I had was pretty stale(combo thin slice).

Like any other airport food, OVERPRICED, BADFOOD. The pizza is on the dry side, which requires too much chewing on my end. If you follow my reviews, you know I’m the kinda girl who HATES chewing on any kinda food.

Taps but no beer on tap? Shiner Bock and a hot slice hit the spot before a long flight. .. .

What a terrible disappointment! After being drawn to the Chicago style pizza sign and waiting in line for about five minutes, the lady at the counter told me the Chicago pizza I ordered would take 25 minutes. Their NY style pizza, in my opinion, looked very cheap and unappetizing. Another lady had a similar experience when she tried to order a veggie pizza. What type of company advertises, on their big neon sign, «Chicago Stuffed Pizza,» but then has none?! This location is in the airport. Not everyone an wait a half hour for food. A fast food, airport, pizza shop should not be practicing just-in-time inventory. No bueno!

I know it’s airport food, so expectations should be low; but just like Ed M’s review, it was mostly the service that killed them. All three women working there looked melancholy, nobody smiled or acted at all pleased with the fact that they didn’t wake up dead this morning. They just looked like they wanted to put their heads in the pizza oven. No personality at all. Barely spoke. Didn’t seem to particularly care if I’d ever come back. Guess what. I won’t.

This review is not about their pizza, which seems to have been OK in the past. Leaving the airport today, I noticed they had some soft pretzels on the corner of the counter. I was anticipating a long wait at baggage claim and thought a nice hot pretzel(with mustard, natch) would be a great post-flight snack. I entered the line and waited for a minute or so for the employee in line to finish chatting with the employee behind the counter. Eventually I was acknowledged and ordered my pretzel. The counter person got the pretzel and gave it to me but said I had to pay«him» and gestured towards a third employee standing away from the counter. As a side note, I believe the F&B people at the airport may work for a third party service, since I see similar smocks and embroidered names at the Salt Lick and Schlotzky’s. Anyhow, employee #3 seemed to receive some sort of cosmic signal that a customer needed help and managed to make his way to the register after a minute or two. I paid my money and asked if they had mustard. Response…“no”. I mean, I could have gone for«sorry, no», or «no sir» or even«yeah a lot of people ask for that», but just«no» was all he could muster after having to work so hard selling my pretzel. And as I strolled off with an incomplete post flight treat, even the damn pretzel was barely tepid.
