This is no longer in this location — I just came here today and that location has been filled by another vendor. I walked around the entire mall and there is no mama wise

This small but well stocked store is perfect for the cloth diapering mama. A store that has all the basics has been missing for some time in South Austin since Austin Baby closed. They have all the major cloth diaper systems, super nice wool covers, a small selection of carriers, wet bags, wooden and cloth toys as well as diaper neccessities like snappis, petroleum free detergent, bac out, etc. They even have super cute cloth diapers for baby dolls! The woman staffing the shop was very friendly and helpful. The offer classes for cloth diaper newbies. The are located in the Westgate Renassaince Market next to Locomotion, but she mentioned they are looking for a larger space right now. I love this little shop and will be going back to increase my diaper stash. A wise shop for wise mamas, I guess that is why they call it MamaWise.

Funny story — I spent 5 minutes driving around with my phone looking for MamaWise. I would get close to the red triangle, then it would fade away. I was completely confused. Where is this place? After parking and pulling up the website, I find out there are located in the Community Renaissance Market, which is at the corner of Westgate and William Cannon. The Community Renaissance Market is a micro-business incubator for people who want to start a new business. MamaWise is located towards the front door, location S3 to be exact. They are a natural parenting store that specializes in cloth diapers, eco-friendly toys and other baby accessories. I was on the hunt for a Moby wrap, specifically one that was a lighter color and not sold at Babies R Us. The store has a good website with an online store, so I knew they carried the wrap I was drooling for. The owner, Jenny, was really pleasant and gave me a demonstration on how to wear the wrap properly. She also mentioned the cloth diaper classes that would be starting soon. Even though I’m not sure we are the cloth type, I feel taking a class would at least educate me on the positives and help us keep an open mind to other options out there. If you are in the area and looking into cloth diapers, Jenny and her store is the place you want to be. She just opened her doors last month and I am looking forward to seeing more come from MamaWise!
