I lived here for two years, moving out when I married. I noticed the bathroom always had a moldy, dank odor, and felt moist and cold, even in the summer months. I alerted the management, but they could not uncover the source of the odor. One day I was replacing the caulking around the bathtub and horror of horrors! I noticed the tile in my bathroom was lying on dirt. There was no subfloor under the tile and no moisture barrier. I alerted management(which is constantly changing) but no repairs were ever done during my residency. The management did not dispute the fact that there was no subfloor or moisture barrier beneath my floor. To make matters worse, my «backyard patio» area was never improved… it was simply dirt which turned to mud when it rained. My outdoor faucet dripped constantly, and mosquitoes congregated during the spring and summer months. There is no urgency on the part of management to provide a healthy environment for their residents, or take their request with any degree of seriousness. After I moved out, my «allergies» went away. I would never live in a Rainier managed property. Oddly, their website states«Our pro-active(sic) style of management continues to distinguish us from our competitors.» However, the very definition of management, regardless of style is a proactive attitude. Sadly, their inability to retain key staff(and lack of hesitation to denigrate those who were fired) make that standard impossible to meet.
