The service was terrible and the restaurant was not clean at all. I attempted to order a Root Beer Float and was told it was down. Followed up with: Actually we cleaned it because we’re about to close in an hour. I don’t expect great service, or even above average food. Really though? I really enjoy a nice, greasy meal and a root beer float from time to time but this was my last attempt. Not wasting anymore time or money coming here only to be let down.

On our pilgrimage to «the big city» we decided on lunch here. Both ordering the Super Sampler platter consisting of one fish, one chicken, 3HUGE shrimp, handful of popcorn shrimp, 2 hush puppies, fries and coleslaw. We substituted the chicken for another fish. What can I say about our meal… MOSTOUTSTANDING! The fish was fresh, moist and just the right amount of their fantastic breading! The shrimp were the size of meatballs, fresh and moist also. The popcorn shrimp were just a tad overcooked but tasty as well. Hush puppies were just perfect. The coleslaw was different than we’ve had before there. It was still good and the right consistency. The only thing keeping me from a 5 star rating was the inattention to the beverage counter. We found no sweet tea and no root beer, which they corrected after I brought it to their attention. We definitely will return again!

Haven’t really had good experiences with Long John Silver’s. The Hushpuppies were just alright. It just tasted alittle overwhelming and smelled like strong onions. The A&W side is good. I’ll go back for the rootbeer floats.

Golden fried fish and perfectly cooked french fries … yeah that is long john silver’s. I love their fish and fries. Long John Silver’s is consistent I think in what they have on their menu and the quality of food. My one thing is I wish the fish was slightly less greasy and this is why I give them 3 stars instead of 4. I have had better fish, but not fast food fish. Their tarter sauce is delicious. For the $ 6 combo meals, I think the quality and amount of food is a great deal. If you really want a big plate of food or you are super hungry you can get a platter that has more fish or chicken, comes with multiple sides and hush puppies for about $ 8 — not a bad deal still.

A fast food place with something different. It’s connected to an A&W which is great for deserts too.

I had been eating Long John Silver’s fish since I was a kid. Couldn’t find any on the west coast — land of H Salt(which is really good) — so it was fun to revisit a childhood memory. Of course, things have changed. There are new items on the menu. I found the breading to be a bit different — not as light. But overall, a good experience. Added bonus — A&W draft rootbeer — and they even have sugar free!!! And they even have baked fish! WEEEEEE! This location plays old rock ‘n roll and is decorated that way, too. A fun place to visit. I’d go again.

Drove up to get a few ala carte fish fillets. Waited almost 20 seconds for someone to greet me through the intercom. Finally said, ‘Hello?’. Guy’s voice comes on and asks to take my order. Tell him I’d like 4 fish fillets a la carte please. Nothing else. He says he’d have my total at the window. Drive around. Wait 10 – 15 seconds for someone to show up. He opens the window, tells me my total, and I give him my payment. No ‘Hello!’ No warm smile. No apologies for the delay. Just swipe my card and hand it back. He steps away and a young woman appears and asks me if I’d like any sauces for my chicken. My WHAT? I politely inform her I ordered fish, not chicken and that no, I wouldn’t be needing any sauces with them. She turns and tells someone, ‘He wants fish, not chicken.’ and disappears. While I’m waiting on my fish to be delivered, I see her walking across the parking lot towards Dan’s Burgers. Perhaps she gets better service over there. A short time later the first guy hands me my fish and apologizes for the misunderstanding. I tell him, ‘No problem. It happens.’ Trouble is, it seems to happen each time I’ve gone there. Sadly it happens at almost every LJS I go to these days. Won’t be going back.

I was heading over to AMC Barton Creek to catch a movie and I know that the closing time on Sunday was 10:30 i though i would get something quick. With about 17 minutes til closing there was a lady(dressed in regular street clothes) and a uniformed employee standing out front of the building and she told me that they were closed, with 17 minutes left. I guess the owners must let them close early because that is what they did.

They changed the tartar sauce recipe!!! Yet another way to cut costs I’m sure. I used to love eating here. The fish use to be so good now it’s drenched in preservatives and salt. I’m done. No more.

$.99 Coney Dogs on Tuesdays… Really do I need to say more? If you’re a chili dog kinda person, you will appreciate this place every day after Monday. I’m not even sure if they sell anything else or if they are even open any other day of the week because of this.

Exactly what you might think it was. Plus one star because it was near my house and open.
