Really enjoyed this place. Went in at 11:30 on a Saturday afternoon and they still had quite an assortment available and it didn’t have that left under the heat lamp taste! Only con: Place could’ve been better cleaned: crumbs on the tables. Super close to traffic making it hard to get in and out.

First off, these aren’t the most amazing kolaches I’ve ever had but they’re far from terrible. The ease of access and proximity to my employer makes this a surefire bet. They have a huge variety and selection of sweet and savory kolaches as well as breakfast tacos. I’ve had a few varieties and my favorite is the Hot Polish Sausage with Cheese. It’s HUGE and the sausage has a great snap. I’d say the prices are reasonable as well.

I like this place. The ladies are friendly and warm. I did not know there are so many different choices. But I’m going to have to try them all. Great cup of coffee and very clean. Give it a try. The chubbies are good.

The menu is extensive, and everything is really tasty. I stop by and get egg and cheese kolaches on my way to work almost every Sunday morning. The only reason they lose one star is because the customer service can be a little lacking at times.

Hands down best kolache establishment I have been to in North Austin. They have a huge selection of kolaches from egg and meat to fruit. They are very reasonably priced, and they have all their items displayed kind of like at a donut shop so you know what you’re getting. They also have these delicious ham and cheese stuffed croissants that are so flaky with gooey cheese inside. When ordering, you can ask them to heat them up for you if you want them warm, or you can just eat them as is. They also have unique kolaches that I haven’t seen at other establishments such as the pizza roll, meatball, and sauerkraut with polish sausage. They offer fountain drinks, coffee, and a small selection of refrigerated drinks such as bottled water and tea, gaterade, and milk. If you’re a fan of kolaches, this place is a must!

I know this is wrong to assume because a restaurant should never be judged by it’s non-specialty items, but their ham and cheese croissants just suck. But this would be like judging a seafood restaurant by their burgers. It’s just wrong. That being said, the croissants at 6 am should be really good, but they are not. They are soggy, not flaky, and about as French as a french fry.

Note to self: if you ever again think to make a quick stop here on your way out of town, DONTDOITFOOL! It was total chaos at 9:30 on a Sat morning, with a long line of folks most of them making huge orders of «half a dozen this, 7 that, and 3.1415926 of the other». And the poor cashiers just can’t keep up. We both got one savory and one sweet each but can’t really tell the difference as all the dough is so cloyingly sweet. And the weenie on my sausage, cheese and«jalapeño»(literally one singular jalapeño slice) was just embarrassingly small, hiding in that large sweet bun. There was so much empty air around that thing. And of course everything would have been better warm but that wasn’t even offered in the chaos. Cold, small weenies are just so underwhelming. Maybe they should have a coupla microwaves for public use? So yeah, note to self: continue on down to the Sonic or other mediocre fast food breakfast offering. At least that’ll be warm mediocrity.

Great place to get breakfast or even lunch, fast and delicious. Went to Lone star kolaches four times in a row during finals week. Oh the nostalgia.

I go to the off of 183, but for some reason that one isn’t listed on Unilocal.Either way they are the best around, and on my way to work. Their bread is sweet and airy but still dense like it should be. They have actual kolaches(fruit and cream cheese) and ones with meat as well. Their fruit kolaches are great if you like sweet things. My S.O. likes their hot polish sausage a lot and their cinnamon buns. I perfer their pan sausage(think patties) with cheese and jalapenos. I just love starting my day off with a kick and these are perfect for that. I think their normal sausages are so-so, I would either order their polish or pan if this is your first time there as those are the best. They also have a variety of different types of kolaches like ranch chicken and more lunch type ones, I have never tried one as that is just not my thing. Also, every time I have been there if the kolache isn’t warm they offer to heat it for you and it doesn’t come out tasting like it has been in a microwave or anything so I always say yes. Again, I go to the 183 location in north austin but I have always left happy and full.

The best kolaches I’ve ever had! We came here for the first time for my wife’s birthday breakfast, we both agree it’s better than getting donuts!

This is my go-to place for kolaches. They have a great variety and every single one I’ve tried has been good! Had to knock off one star for their blaring Christian music on Sunday mornings. You’re a business, leave your personal beliefs at home please.

Get up early, get to the bakery — whichever is closest to you and try to get a fresh box from the ovens. NUMMY Goodness! I usually get my folks sausage & cheese or jalapeño sausage & cheese — they don’t make it past 30 minutes when I take them to work. The location in pflugerville has a drive-thru as well.

Like every intelligent person in the state of Texas, I love Czech Stop and it has set the standard for kolaches for me. I’ve tried a few kolache places around Austin and really just. decided to give up. Lone Star isn’t amazing, but it’s the best you’re going to get here. It’s really yummy. Their bread is sweet and soft and they have a wonderfully extensive menu. Bean and egg? Breakfast sausage? You never see these options! I appreciate it. The cream cheese kolache is my go-to and they do it right. The egg based kolaches are delicious and do not have any hint of the dryness you would expect from treats that I imagine have been sitting around for a few hours. I do have a few complaints: I love your potato, egg and cheese kolache, but you should probably mention that there is also salsa in there. For me, it was a pleasant surprise, but for some it could ruin it. Also, why do you ask if I want my kolaches microwaved if you NEVER microwave them enough to actually be hot? I’m going to come here for lunch until I have exhausted every menu item, so please keep up the good work.

This morning was my first and last visit to the Parmer Lane location. I’m all about customer service. And these people do not have it. They didn’t have most of the ones I wanted. When I started ordering, the surly woman behind the counter rudely interrupted with, we don’t have that. So I decided on the potato, egg, and cheese; and a cherry cream cheese. Then, she didn’t even offer to warm them up. She acted really put out that she had to come out to «help» me.

Ordered a Kolache Combo for the office. Every single kolache was cold — to that point where cheese turns solid orange. I mean I understand if the kolaches on display were cold, but if I order one in advance I expect them to at least be warm yafeelme? Honestly, I’ve had fresher kolaches at Shipleys. Kolaches were pretty good after microwaving them though.

It’s not Hruska’s, but I love it all the same. I will agree with the standard consensus that the service is a bit brusque but it its surely not enough to ever make me hesitate from coming here. The kolaches are convenient and a great alternative to your standard breakfast option while remaining cheap and filling. In the past just a few people ahead of you ordering platters could knock out their selection. But in the past couple years they’ve seemed to gotten a little better about keeping all my favorites available after 9am. If you can’t decide, The polish sausage ones are very filling and meaty, while the smaller sausage kolaches seem to use lil smoky type sausages and have a much smaller smaller ration of meat to bread(sometimes that’s what I prefer) I love their wide selection of egg based kolaches and you can never go wrong with the cream cheese ones. I got the ham egg and cheese croissant recently, and it had fairly yummy deli ham in it, perhaps they’ve improved it and I’d certainly get it again. Personally I feel the fruit ones are a little disappointing so I avoid them unless I get a craving!

There’s really not much to say about this location other than it’s an awesome stop to get a quick breakfast. My usual favorites here are the Cinnamon Twist, Hot Polish Sausage with Cheese or Chorizo with Eggs. I also like the dough that they used to encase the ingredients. Very delicious. Although sometimes, there are way too much dough closed off in certain areas or dried out.

I ordered a catering order here from my company. The lady over the phone was super nice and was easy to deal with. I can tell that they are a small company just trying to make it. However, The order came out right and everything but the delivery is what turned me off from them. They are down the street from us not far at all. The owner delivered them herself and I gave the lady on the phone instructions on how to get to our office because it can get tricky. The owner refused to bring the Kolaches upstairs to the office. I had to go down and get them. I asked her if she got lost or confused. She just said no and that she just didn’t want to bring them all the way up. I was kind of shocked by that. I had to sign the reciept and bring all of the rest of the order up stairs. She was just overall rude and I won’t order from them again.

I stopped in for a quick kolache. It was one of those, «If I don’t eat something right now I will pass out» moments. It was after noon so they had very little left to offer. I had a bacon, cheese and potato kolache because the thought of anything with egg just sitting out there kinda freaked me out. It was good — your standard kolache and decent filling. I can’t say anything bad about it at all — but definitely not stand our or memorable in any way. I will continue to make the trek to the Kolache Factory when I really want one.
